I'm back!! This is an episode I've been meaning to record for so long. I have seen the impact that sharing a bit about my healing journey has had with clients because it helps them to see what's possible for their own healing so I knew this was important to share.  To book an appointment with me go to www.theripenedheart.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/cailee-anello/support
I am so honored to have Rebecca (Bex) Feltmann back on the podcast today. If you haven't listened to my previous episode with her on navigating grief, please do so! We brought up the subject of addiction a little bit in that episode and I knew immediately I wanted to have a whole episode on it. One of the unfortunate ways that people have chosen to cope during these hard times is with addictive substances in an attempt to soothe the pain and trauma of what has happened. As humans, we are wired for connection, and when we don't properly receive that love and connection, the body looks for a substitute.  The astrology of 2022 specifically points to a need to work through our relationship with the substances that we use to numb ourselves - with so much planetary energy in Pisces, which rules addiction. Even if you yourself have never had addictive tendencies, it's likely that someone in your life has. We talk about how to be in relationship with people in our lives who suffer from addiction, how to create boundaries while still loving them, and so much more. This episode is dedicated to my brother Michael, who we lost to addiction in 2007. He was 21.  Find Bex: www.helperb.com "Everything We Know About Addiction is Wrong" Ted Talk: https://youtu.be/PY9DcIMGxMs Find Cailee: www.theripenedheart.com The Ripened Heart on all social media Join me on Substack for more content like this: tothewell.substack.com --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/cailee-anello/support
Welcome back! I've heard all of your requests on more Human Design related podcasts and so I'm here to deliver! I had my friend Anastasia Morrison come on to talk about her experience as a 6/2 Projector with Emotional Authority. We also get into her experience having the root and solar plexus as her only defined centers, deconditioning open centers, not having a set trajectory as an open G, and how much Human Design changes well...everything about your life. What's this? My first solo episode! It's about time since we're almost a year into the podcast! I had absolutely no intention of recording this today, I basically found myself sitting down and hitting the record button and BOOM here's the result of that. Last week I posted about social media triggering "not-self" themes - which is a fancy Human Design phrase that basically means you're triggered and showing up in ways that aren't super helpful! This episode speaks to what I noticed in myself when I embarked on a 30 day challenge to post 100 pieces of content in 30 days and ended up being super not-selfy and frustrated. While this 30 day challenge triggered the shit outta me it also taught me A LOT and I wanted to share some of those lessons with you! Enjoy :)  Website: www.theripenedheart.com @theripenedheart on IG, Youtube, and Telegram  --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/cailee-anello/support
Trigger warning: This episode deals with death and addiction - if you are sensitive to these topics, this episode may not be right for you. After last week's episode with death doula and homeopath Kathy Yeo, I knew Bex Feltmann would be the perfect guest to have on to help us further integrate these heavy but needed topics. Bex is an allopathic RN turned holistic healer who had her world rocked by the loss of her sister and the traumatic birth of her daughter less than a year later. Drawing on her own personal experience of loss and trauma, as well as years of professional exposure, her therapeutic support through any and all of life's transitions is always individualized, presence-and-mindfulness based, and trauma sensitive using a variety of individualized healing modalities. She is trained in Compassionate Bereavement Care and uses astrology as a tool to empower her clients. She offers holistic healing support services with the intention to empower her clients to heal themselves by honoring their experience in all of it's pieces, the dark and the light, the good and the bad, the peaks and valleys in a safe and sacred space. Her work is rooted in self awareness and self acceptance. When we can find love and acceptance for ourselves we can more readily offer it out to the world, and who could say that we couldn't use more of that?! Death is NOT a subject we feel comfortable with in western culture. We ignore the inevitability of it until we come face to face with it. It's something all of us will be touched by at some point or another whether we like it or not. In today's episode, I have Kathy Yeo on to talk about how we can begin to cultivate a relationship with death that is more honest, more healthy, and ultimately - more life giving than shoving it under the rug. With a background in classical music performance, Kathy is able to use the sensitive, discerning, and nuanced listening skills of a musician in her practice. Kathy is a graduate of the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy in the Twin Cities where she is now a guest lecturer, mentor, and clinical instructor. She holds the CCH credential through the Council for Homeopathic Certification. Kathy is a graduate of the Going with Grace End of Life Training Program and a National End of Life Doula proficiency badge holder. She currently is a student guide for Going with Grace. Welcome back to another episode of the podcast! I've been grappling a lot with the concept of diagnoses and labels and how they shape our view of what's possible for our future health and wellbeing. While diagnoses can validate our pain and give us a framework to treatment, they can also limit us and create further trauma that can be a set back in our healing. A lot of people can attach themselves to a diagnosis and make themselves sicker with the stress of their prognosis. Some labels are scarier than others and carry more psychological turmoil like autoimmune disorders, cancer, Parkinson's, just to name a few. In homeopathy we see diagnoses very differently. We see people with all sorts of labels of varying degrees of "seriousness" heal. One thing I really admire about my mentor Doug Brown is that he never flinches when people come to him with serious diseases. He brings the same level of hope and optimism for the patient with PMS that he does to a patient with Lyme's.  Today, Aaron Stiner and I discuss this topic and explore the pros and cons of diagnosing medical conditions, how it can be limiting, why suppression can make symptoms worse down the line, and how even natural treatments like tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract can be masking problems and can hurt more than they help in the long run. I'm so curious to hear your thoughts on this topic! There is a lot of nuance here and is a topic that needs to be explored more. My hope is to expand your perspective and open up a conversation. Please write to me and let me know what you think of the episode and we will continue this important conversation! theripenedheart@gmail.com You can find Aaron Stiner at: http://www.risingsun-wellness.com astiner@risingsun-wellness.com Find Cailee: www.theripenedheart.com @theripenedheart on IG and Telegram --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/cailee-anello/support
Today I'm joined by my lovely fiancé, Emily Florence! So many of you were requesting a Human Design episode and instantly I knew I wanted to do an episode on how I've integrated lessons in navigating my emotional authority. Both Em and I are emotional generators that need to wait for *relative* clarity before making decisions. But what happens when clarity never comes? What do you do when something is repeatedly sending you in an emotional tailspin like *cough* certain circumstances on the world stage...We have learned SO much in the past few years and hope that this episode will help you understand emotional authority better.  Want to know what your decision making authority is according to Human Design? Anddd we're back! The podcast took a little hermit hiatus (2/4 profile here for those of you into Human Design) but when Kathleen Scheible reached out to me after hearing my episode with Roland Guenther I knew that I wanted to invite her on the show. I have been following Kathleen's work for about a year now after hearing her on the Queer Spirit podcast. What really struck me about Kathleen was her dedication to her local community. In a time where things are increasingly digital and disconnected, Kathleen grounds us back in reality that there are very real problems that homeopathy can help to solve in our immediate vicinity. Kathleen is a Classical Homeopath in the Bernal Heights neighborhood in San Francisco. She specializes in helping people heal from physical, emotional, and trans-generational trauma in the many ways that people can experience its after-effects. This includes chronic cognition and memory issues, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues in children, headaches and other pain especially after a head injury / traumatic brain injury (TBI). Not only has she served the elderly community through the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Association, she also partnered with the Integrative Healers Action Network to help those affected by traumatic wildfires in California. She also has a free homeopathic clinic twice monthly at Community Well.  In this episode we discuss Kathleen's homeopathic origin story and how she went from being an engineer to a classical homeopath. We discuss how we can bring homeopathy to a larger population and serve our communities at a local and national level. We highlight the efficacy of homeopathy in treating trauma - both acute trauma and chronic trauma - and how the nervous system plays a role in care. We also touch on how homeopathy can meet the person where they are at. There are so many issues that homeopathy can effectively address from acute shock, to ear infections, to depression and anxiety, to chronic conditions such as autoimmunity, GERD, and chronic pain. The take away from this episode, though, is that there is always hope and that the human spirit is incredibly resilient. No matter what challenges lie before us, there are supportive tools that we can reach for that aid in our growth and evolution and strengthen our resolve. Today I talk with homeopath, transpersonal therapist, and shamanic practitioner Declan Hammond. His life and work has been a passionate search for the most effective healing tools for himself and his patients. This journey has taken him all over the globe studying Eastern and Western approaches to healing, tantra yoga and traditional shamanic practices. Declan has developed a unique synthesis of these ancient and modern healing techniques and works with individuals and groups to empower deep personal growth and spiritual development. He has a particular passion for working with people challenged by non-ordinary states of consciousness, such as those experienced in Spiritual Emergency / Psychosis states.  We cover so much good stuff in today's episode including his journey to becoming a healer, how society mislabels spiritual awakenings and extrasensory gifts as psychological disorders, how to integrate these "psychosis states" and turn them into gifts, what potential gifts our current times are bringing us, and much more. Welcome to episode 13! Today, I am honored to have Dr. Roland Guenther of Vancouver Island Homeopathy on the podcast. Roland has a deeply profound view of life, healing, the nature of disease, and homeopathy that has been shaped by over 30 years of experience. A product of World War II, Roland sought solace and hope in medicine from a young age. He believes that by getting in touch with nature and all that life has to teach us we have an opportunity to grow and evolve far beyond what we could have had we never gotten sick in the first place. We discuss: -How Opium characterized the consciousness of post World War II in Germany and how that lead him to become a medical doctor -What we mean by a "remedy state" in homeopathy and what "taboo" substances like opium have to teach us -The hidden gifts of trauma and why trauma is not something to avoid -Initiations in healing and why they are important -Shameeah cermonies - what are they and how do they help us connect to the consciousness of substances (and why this is important!) -How every hardship in life has something to teach us. I am DELIGHTED to have my mentor Doug Brown on the podcast today! Doug Brown is a graduate of Yale University School of Nursing and the Hahnemann College of Homeopathy. He became a homeopath when after 11 years of working with conventional medicine as a Family Nurse Practitioner he remained dissatisfied with its failure to cure chronic disease and with its fragmentation of care. We cover so many deep topics today - including: -Doug's journey to homeopathy and why he was skeptical at first -Why his son's ear infections were a sign from the universe to change paths -How a homeopathic remedy heals physical, emotional, and spiritual illness that often goes back generations -Why we get sick in the first place and how to integrate the lessons we learn from symptomology -A profound healing Doug had with his own constitutional remedy -What he's learned from 20 years of practice -Patient stories  And more! Did you know that your sun sign and other significant planetary placements in your birth chart play a role in your health? Yup! I was skeptical when I first heard about medical astrology but after looking back at my medical history and what health issues I'm prone to they 100% match up with my sun sign and my rising/moon sign! I've even noticed that difficult transits can bring out the related imbalances as well. Enjoy Part 1 of the introduction to medical astrology! And I want to know - what's your sun/moon/rising? WOW. Today's episode with Krista Rivet truly blew me away. Krista is a Classical Homeopath who was awakened to the healing power of homeopathy when her son came down with a gnarly infection that conventional medicine couldn't do anything about. Soon after she saw her son reverse his condition (quickly!) before her very eyes, she knew she had to learn more.  Krista takes us through the story of how she has healed herself and her family from acute, chronic, and downright serious pathologies using Homeopathy. She also walks us through what it's like to see a classical homeopath and how it differs from other natural modalities. Finally, she tells us some of her favorite healing stories that she has seen in her practice.  Homeopathy is more important to learn than ever before! Whether you decide to learn acute homeopathy for colds, flus, breaks, sprains, and other acute illnesses yourself or you go to a homeopath to help reverse chronic illness unsolved by other healing modalities, it's such an important tool to have in your tool kit. Today on the podcast I'm joined by Lydia Joy to explore the relationship between our mineral status and our mental and physical health. Did you know that having a mineral imbalance can have an impact on your personality and how you see the world? Mineral balancing is a delicate dance because all minerals have a relationship with each other. Take too much calcium and you get a magnesium deficiency. Consume too much salt and you deplete potassium. It's complicated stuff! And with all of the stress we've been experiencing in the past year our bodies are more depleted of minerals than ever before.  Lydia Joy is an empowered single mom of four boys. She is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Mind-Body Coach, teacher, mentor & writer. She supports a whole person approach to create a path for women to step into authenticity & freedom. Lydia's intuitive approach empowers exhausted women to get their spark back using Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis. We talk all about Lydia's journey to becoming a practitioner, how to heal from burnout, how she healed her son's many health complaints, and so much more! The first time I heard Yerasimos Stilianessis talk about transformational bodywork back in 2018 I was instantly magnetized to his work. The way he spoke about untapped trauma in the tissues of the body impacting the way that we speak, relate, feel, and move through life was something I had been synchronistically studying through the work of Wilhelm Reich. We connected a year later through Human Design and I knew as soon as I hit record that this would be a stellar podcast.
