Not much is said about humility anymore but Jesus taught unless we humble ourselves as little children we would not enter the kingdom of God.
Even if we live to be 100, in comparison to eternity, this is not very long, considering the fact that we are in actuality going to live forever. Only what we do for God is what will matter in eternity.
People wonder, what is the will of God? The Bible teaches two aspects of God’s will. The perfect (set or absolute) will of God. Also, the Permissive will of God which is certain actions He does not endorse but allows to happen due to the fact that we live in a fallen world.
New Year’s resolutions are fine yet most people do not keep them. I believe as His called out people, it is easier and more productive to make daily resolutions.
During this gift centered holiday let us as God’s children keep our eyes on the true meaning of Christmas. The birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ the Son of God. The One who saves us from our sins.
Thanksgiving should be a way of life for a believer, not just a one day event every November.

There is an old saying that states “an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.” This is also true in the Christian life. May we guard our hearts by spiritually practicing preventive medicine.
We live in a day of spiritual illiteracy. In the USA we take for granted that which we have in our possession, God’s written word. May we not take this for granted and ignore the blessing we have at our fingertips.
To allow hypocrites to keep us from having fellowship with other Christians is a poor excuse to miss church. Does this keep us from other activities. I don’t think so. No, it only keeps us out of church.
No person in history ever suffered like Job with the exception of our Lord Jesus Christ when He was on the cross paying for our sins. What can we learn from Job’s trials.
Jesus not only suffered on the cross, He suffered before the cross. Betrayal by Judas Iscariot, Peter’s denial, disciples denial, his own peoples denial, and to top it off, our denial when we do not act the way we should act. This is something to think about.
In the race called life, as Christ followers, we are going to have good days as well as bad days. The key to success is staying in the race. To win, all we have to do is finish the race. Jesus will help us in our journey to the finish line.
If there was ever a time we needed encouragement, the time is now. Our world is falling apart, or is it. Maybe, everything is falling into place for the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We all worry sometimes, but as the Psalmist said, “ why so downcast oh my soul, I will hope in the LORD.” Hope is found in CHRIST.
All Christians have faith in God. The question is ,,, do we have faith in His timing. Are we persistent in our prayers to our loving Father or do we falter when we feel as though He is not acting quickly enough on our behalf.
As Christians, we must realize that God is sovereign. Because He is sovereign, He may take us down a road that we may not necessarily agree with,,, but do not fret, our loving Heavenly Father sees what we don’t always see,,, the BIG PICTURE.
We all will eventually face some sort of trauma in our life, Resilience is the ability to bounce back but the key to success is, a Christian does not do this by their own strength but through the strength of Christ.
Do we want to have an impact for the kingdom of God, being a thankful person is one key.
