We’re back in the studio today, and honestly, it feels really good. A year ago, Kim and I were standing at a major crossroads. After ten years of building a business we loved, it came to an end, and while that day could’ve felt devastating, it actually became one of the greatest redirections of our lives. Looking back now, I see how that ending made space for everything that followed. We handled it differently, and that’s okay. I was ready to pivot and move quickly. I’ve been through business...
This week’s episode is something really special. Kim went solo and shared a powerful conversation about the last four months of the year and what they truly mean for us. She reminded us that we don’t need to wait for January or for a new year to give ourselves permission to start again. We don’t need the calendar to roll over to create change, what we actually need is a new now. Kim talks about how this season, the final stretch of the year, is where breakthroughs are born. It’s not just abo...
In this week's episode, Kim and I reflected deeply on parenting teens, being vulnerable, and how that has shaped our relationship with our son, Colby. We opened up about how a moment of empathy from him after football practice reminded me he’s growing into a thoughtful young man. I shared how telling him about my struggles after my cardiac arrest shifted something big in our relationship and it created trust and connection. We’re not parenting experts, just parents learning in real time...
In this episode we dive deep into the power of subconscious beliefs, parts integration (a tool from NLP), and the ongoing work of aligning business, family, and personal identity. We explore how competing beliefs (like hustle vs. harmony) can be integrated to create internal peace and clarity. Kim shares a powerful exercise where she names her two conflicting parts: Carol (light, joy) and Ursula (sacrifice, hustle), and learns to blend them, not fight them. The conversation then shifts into l...

In this heartfelt solo episode, Kim reflects on the deep, emotional theme of “coming home to yourself.” As she prepares to lead her women’s retreat called The Embodied Woman in Costa Rica, Kim shares how this experience is about expansion, awakening, and reconnection. Through a personal story with our daughter Tessa, she explores the idea that true safety and belonging don’t come from external achievements, titles, or other people—but from within. Kim emphasizes that “home” is not a destinati...
“It’s gonna be Mayyyyy!!!” You sang that inside your head didn’t you? 😁 Well, you get to hear me sing it, so my apologies. Yes, it’s May, and the year is flyingggg by! Today, we talk about “Manufactured Energy” vs “Natural Energy”. In a world with so many demands from family, job, health, and world issues it can be really easy to feel depleted in your energy stores and sources. Manufactured energy is forced, short-lived, and often fueled by stimulants or hype. Natural energy flows...

We hope you are having an amazing week friends! Honestly, ours was stressful. When your child is hurt or sick, it's the WORST...and Tess broke her ankle again. Devastating in many ways, yes, we're aware worse things can happen, but she'd had. abad run in the past 4 months. Two broken ankles and appendix surgery so she has missed a lot, and for an active child, it makes it really tough at 13 years old. So while it's been difficult, there is a lesson here in how she has been dealing with it.&nb...
Let's talk values my friends and why they are important! This was an interesting conversation as we started to dive into the things that keep people from pursuing our values, and why addiction and numbing and consumption leads you astray from your values and doing the things that leads you down that path. This one got deep, and maybe uncomfortable, because honestly, we are living in crazy times and they discussing these hard things is important. We talk about time audits and as promised, see ...

I hope you enjoy this solo episode that I recorded as I talk about my radical wake up from what I’ve experienced the last six months. I share with you the moment I had that sort of unlocked some blocks for me towards the new business that we started and Jamie has been leading. It’s actually really refreshing to realize that I can do my coaching and also run this business as well I just had to get out of my own way and I think it’s important we all realize some things take time. I get emotiona...
Thank for tuning in everyone, we always appreciate you listening! It was quite the week for the Fitzpatrick crew and Tessa is back home and doing amazing! Today we talk al about routines, habits, and having the permission to adjust those and even completely change them if needed. Morning routines are important, but I think recalibration is needed depending on the season you are in. We recently were in the hospital for 6 days with our daughter and let me tell you, pacing around that building r...
This is a doozy my friends! We REALLY dive onto habits and consequences in your life that you are conscious of but many you may not be. We also venture into some of the things I'm going through personally from a physical standpoint. It's not always easy sharing this, and I don't do it for attention or pity, but I think it's important to share so others know they are not alone and we all struggle with things. If you need to reach out, please do, we all need help and support. Thank ...

Listen to this incredible conversation between two powerful women, Makini Smith and Kim! Makini's Notes: We discussed the profound impact of personal hardships, including her transition from a decade-long business to establishing her own coaching practice. Kim highlighted the significance of recognizing that we are not broken, but rather, we have cracks that allow the light to shine through, echoing the wisdom of Leonard Cohen. Throughout our conversation, Kim opened up about her past struggl...
