Wisdom From The Written Word Of God

I was wondering why it's called a Good Friday, because watching The Passion Of Christ, that was a sad and emotional day. Calling it a Good Friday seem to be a contradiction. Digging into the scriptures, I started looking at the reason why Jesus Christ was born. I realized He was born with a Job Description, 'To save His people from sin.' Looking back at the fall of Man in Genesis, I realized God didn't give up on us, He looked for a plan for redemption. God started with animal sacrifices, which was only temporary. God then came with a permanent plan, that was giving us His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for our sins. According to John 3:16, God gave us His Son because He loves us. Jesus Christ' Blood wiped our sins once and for all, but we have to play a part by believing in Him and accepting Him as our personal Saviour, and by this we are guaranteed eternal life. In conclusion, it's a Good Friday because it is a day when our sins where wiped out, once and for all, and we were reconciled back to God, Praise God!

Sometimes we go through so much trouble, which leaves us worried or anxious, this is normal. The Prophet Isaiah, speaking about Jesus Christ birth, he calls Him The Prince of Peace. When He was born, we hear Angels praising, saying peace on earth. In the Book of John, we hear Jesus Christ telling His Disciples that He was giving them His Peace and He was leaving them His Peace. This means that, God's desire is for us to live in Peace all the time. Remember His Name is 'Immanuel', which means, God With Us. Whenever you find yourself agitated, remind yourself that you have The Prince of Peace and His Peace With You.

There are times in life where from nowhere, you start feeling uncomfortable in the place where you are in, job, relationship or place of residence. I have discovered in my own life that the discomfort is an alarm from God to say, "Hey, it's time to get out of here, I have something better for you!" Sometimes God will be seeing a danger coming for you in that place and He wants to protect you. Even an Eagle when she wants her eaglets to fly, she makes the nest uncomfortable. That thing making you feel uncomfortable is catapulting you to your greatness. Be discerning and move out of that uncomfortable situation and move into what God has for you.

When God asked Abram to look up to heaven and if he is able to count the stars, that's how much his seed will be; God was trying to show Him that when He does things for us, He does it BIG. Moving on to the widow with a little oil and a debt to pay; Elisha tells her to borrow vessels, shut herself in and start pouring the oil. Elisha was specific, he told the widow not to borrow a few vessels. The widow filled all the vessels and even asked her son if there were still more vessels. Am sure she wished she had borrowed a bit more. This story shows us again that God wants us to have more than enough. Next time when you ask, don't limit God, He is God Unlimited.

In a family setting, there is always one child who is the parents beloved. Most of the time the siblings feel it's not fair. Some siblings go to the point of hating their other sibling, which I think it's not right. This also happens in a workplace setting, the boss may love one employee more than the other, which can also create problems for that employee. I think Joseph's brothers went too far with their hatred by even planning to kill him. Joseph's dreams had made the brothers very angry. One thing, there was no way God would allow those brothers to kill Joseph, because his dreams where to be fulfilled at an appointed time. God was with Joseph throughout until the dreams where fulfilled. Little did the brothers know that the brother they were pushing away, was going to be their help in future. Wherever you are, try to live peacefully with each other, you never know who would come to your rescue in future. Whatever people have done or doing to you, forgive and cast your cares to God, He is the one who fights our battles.

There are times when you go through some strange challenges and you don't understand why God has allowed you to go through all that. One time when Paul was asking God to take away the thorn in his flesh, God told him that His Grace was sufficient. Whatever you are going through, God has given you sufficient Grace to walk through it. It seems promotion comes through challenges. For someone to win a sport medal, they go through some vigorous training. It all depends on how you respond to challenges. Be like David who faced Goliath. Be like Joseph, who did not lose hope, after going through all those challenges, in a foreign land for that matter, where he knew no-one. Remember, whatever valley you are walking through, God is with you; Therefore do not park in that valley, keep moving with the Lord until you get to your promised land.

As the Bible says, 'Where The Spirit of The Lord is, there is liberty/freedom", I believe whenever we gather in Jesus' Name, He is there with us, therefore we should expect to receive freedom from whatever is binding us. Jesus Christ said that wherever two or three are gathered in His Name, He is there. I believe it's about first being aware of His Presence, and once you are aware of His Presence, it is easy to receive your Breakthrough. I remember a Pastor who during Praise and Worship you would hear him saying, "He is hear, He is hear." That means that Pastor was aware of His Presence. I have given three examples of scenarios where individuals were aware of His Presence and they receive freedom from whatever was binding them. There is so much that can happen during Praise and Worship. Next time you are in His Presence, switch off from all distractions, be focused on the Lord Jesus Christ and be aware of His Presence in that environment you are in and am sure, you will receive breakthroughs. There are so many distractions like Mobile phones, TV, etc, but am sure we can all set a time each and every day to be in His Presence and have a conversation with Him. Isaiah tells us that God created us to Praise Him. He wants a fellowship with Him; We see how He used to fellowship with Adam in the Garden of Eden. I pray you will be more aware of His Presence.🙏

There are times in life when you get a word or a dream from the Lord, you get excited, but when the manifestation time takes too long, you begin to doubt whether you heard from the Lord. Mary got a Word from Angel Gabriel and she received that Word and believed it, as a result she conceived. In her words she said, "Let it be according to your word." After Mary conceived, there was a gestation period till the baby was born. In the same way, after God has given us a Word and we receive it, we conceive that Word straightaway. Then comes gestation period, which is the period where some believers give up because they think it's taking long. Remember gestation time for different species is different, Therefore if you see someone receiving their manifestation earlier than you, don't give up. Even mangoes in the same tree ripen up at different times. Hang in there, when the time is right, God Himself will make it happen, don't abbort your dream.

There are sometimes when God singles you out in your family or in a community. Some people around you might not be happy with the Anointing God has bestowed upon you. They will be like, "Why her/him, not us." One thing for sure, God does not see like Man see, He will choose someone Man wouldn't choose. When God annoints someone, it's normal for that individual to face an attack from the enemy. Am sure that's why God told Joshua to be strong and be of good courage. God promised us in Psalm 23 to walk with us through the valley of the shadow of death. Remember, we walk through, we don't park there. If God is always walking with us, we must not fear the enemy attacks, God will fight for us. Whatever is pursuing you today, be of good cheer, God has overcome the world for you. Don't give up, keep standing, God will get you where He wants you to be. Keep focused, don't be distracted by sideshows.

There are times in life when it feels so dark. You can't even see where you are going. Because it feels so dark, you can give up on yourself. But, one thing for sure, we learn from God. He was in the same situation in Genesis 1; The difference is God spoke into that darkness and said, "Let there be light", and there was light. We have been made in God's Image, after His Likeness, that means we have His attributes. Next time when it feels like dark in your life, speak light into that situation. As night time is not permanent, same applies to your dark season. If you see the sun setting and it turns dark, you know the same sun will rise and light up planet earth. Anything that is not of God is subject to change.

There are times in life when you have done all the praying and it seems God is silent. You are like, "Hello, are you still there?" Trust me, it's a stressing place to be. According to Theologians, there was a period of silence between the Old Testament and The New Testament. Theologians said it was a period of 400 years. God said nothing during that period. In my podcast, I have mentioned what happened after those years of silence. After those years of silence, God did something that changed the trajectory of our lives. Where we were supposed to face a penalty for our sins, God sent us a Saviour who redeemed us from sin once and for all. Am beginning to realise that when God seems silent, it doesn't mean, He is not working on your request. If the curtain is closed, it doesn't mean the show is not going to happen, it just means the actors are preparing themselves behind the scenes. When that curtain opens up, that's when you realise it was worth waiting. Surely, you wouldn't want a half cooked meal, you want something that someone took their time to prepare. Same way, when God seems silent, He is preparing the best for you, don't quit, wait for it. In the time of waiting, don't sit idle, don't complain or murmur. Put on your joy and start praising and thanking God for what He is about to do. Read books and listen to stuff that will encourage your faith. God will never disappoint, He is always on time.🙏

One thing for sure, the enemy doesn't give up on us. As long as you are all out for God, you are the devil's worst enemy. The Israelites found themselves stuck between the red sea and Pharaoh's army. Trust me, it was a scary situation to the point they said they would have been better off being in bondage in Egypt. Have you been in that place; You are not the only one. The Bible had to tell us that Elijah was just a man like us, so we don't get surprised when we see him running away from Jezebel. Anytime you feel like retreating, that's the time to trust The Lord, and advance. Going back is not an option, because there is nothing good there. Faith is about taking a step of Faith, and I would say, taking a step forward. God walks with us all the time, therefore when you take a step forward, He walks with you. Today, don't have a grasshopper mentality, see yourself as a Giant and know God is walking with you every step. The battle does not belong to you, it belongs to The Almighty God, and He has never lost a battle. Move on and crossover to the other side.

I used to think every time I had a problem I have to ask someone to pray for me, trust me there is nothing wrong in asking someone to pray for you. I believe just like a child grows from being a baby to adulthood, it applies to us Christians as well. There are times when children move from home and start being independent. I believe as believers, we have to come to a point where we face our Goliath all by ourselves. David did it as a teenager, why can't we do it as well. We have a new covenant, that is based on better promises. We have all it takes to stand up against the enemy. All we need is to know who we are in Christ and the authority He has given us. It's the truth that you know that will set you free. You can only know this by depositing the Word of God into your Spirit. Be where the Word of God is taught and also study the word for yourselves using tools like, Daily Devotionals, reading books from good authors and watching teachings from good Bible Teachers.

When God anoints you for a particular purpose, trust me, that's when you start to face so much opposition or attacks. This is no time to retreat, when God gave us His Armour, it was meant for the front, nothing for the back; that means we are not to retreat but face our Goliath. One thing I have realized from the story of David is that, after God Anointed him King over Israel, no matter how many times Saul tried to kill him, he didn't succeed, why, because David hadn't accomplished that which God had anointed him for. Whatever God has anointed you for, no-one and nothing can take you out before you accomplish that which God has anointed you for. Whatever battles you face, stay in faith, those battles are taking you a step closer to God's promises for you. When you wait upon the Lord, strength is renewed, you will come out on the other side stronger than before. See you at the top🙏

I have realized in my own life that when God speaks, sometimes I dismiss it thinking it was my own thoughts. I think sometimes it's because we were made to think God speaks to certain people not us. We were made to think that there are special people that God speaks to. I think that kind of thought is the reason why many fall for false prophets, because they believe there has to be someone who hears God on their behalf. In this podcast, I have given examples of ordinary people that God spoke to and used for His purpose. God can take a nobody and turn them into a somebody. Let's not look down on anyone, I believe each and everyone of us have something to contribute to society.

Most of the time people hate you because of what they heard about you. I don't think it's a good thing to believe everything you hear about an individual, what if it's not true. God wants us to love our neighbors as ourselves. It's best to leave judgement to God. God calls us the Apple of His Eye and He says whoever touches you, is touching Him. That means God fights our battles. In my podcast am highlighting that, don't stay in the same camp as those who do things that a contrary to the word of God, because if calamity strikes in their camp, you will be caught up as well, because you are not under The Covering of The Blood of Jesus Christ.

There are time when you have this serious problem and you pray about it, and you need an answer like yesterday, but it seems there is no answer coming. You are like, "Hello God, are you still there!" Weeks, Months, Years go by and people are beginning to question if your God exists. Most of the time when you are about to get an answer the enemy throws his best blow. His aim is, for you to just give up. Be like Jesus Christ praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, He was now facing the reality of the Cross. In His conversation with the Father, Jesus Christ was honest that He wished the cup to pass, but He would rather do The Father's Will. No matter how it feels now, you are almost there, don't quit. The delay was not to break you, but God wants the Lord to be glorified. Stay blessed and Merry Christmas to you all. May the Joy of the Lord fill your lives and homes🙏

In life we come through some hurts and pains. Some of the things are not easy to forget, they keep lingering at the back of your mind and you keep having flashbacks of what happened. Once you entertain those flashbacks, it starts feeling like a fresh wound, which is not good enough. The other thing is if you keep entertaining these past hurts, your life will be on a standstill. There are times when God whispers to you to give away something that is valuable to you, that is called a sacrifice. I am not talking about money, it can be something. In that scenario most of the time we will lie to ourselves that it must be the devil. It takes sacrifice, obedience and faith to give away what you value. Abraham did that when God asked him to sacrifice his only son. If we read Genesis 22:1, it tells us God was testing and proving Abraham. In other ways God wanted to see if Abraham really trusted Him. Of course God doesn't do human sacrifices that's why we have Genesis 22:1; And the other thing, God won't tell you He is testing and proving you. Same as when you are talking exams, they don't give you the answers. Once you pass God's testing and proving, He now can trust you with bigger things.

I have done this episode based on my own experiences. There are times when you are so desperate and you ask for help from people. With some people, their help to you will come with terms and conditions. If they help you they expect to live your life, I mean they will tell you what not to do and what you can do. If you are not careful, you will be like, oh if I don't do as they say, they might stop helping me. If you allow them to live your life because you need their help, that will be the same as you signing a Terms of Service. The worst thing is once you allow someone to live your life, your life is now on a standstill because you are not using your free will. You can't even use the giftings that God has put in you. Next time when you need help, ask God to send you the right people who don't have terms and conditions; People who want to see you getting better in life, not people who will keep reminding you that they helped you. Hope this will help someone. The moment I broke free from helpers with terms and conditions, God sent me the right people. He will do it for you as well.
