#8 - Ruff Stuff

The Italian born, Berlin based, DJ and producer Ruff Stuff have rocked up on a host on different labels, including Shall Not Fade, Madhouse Records, Suol, Sloth Boogie and STEP Recordings. However, it's the work on his own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which he’s arguably best renowned.   Grew up during the ‘90’s electronic wave, firstly as clubber and then as DJ and vinyl enthusiast, in the mid-2000s he decided to start produce electronic music. The first steps were moved on the Idm and Ambient territories, driven by his love for ethereal melodies and intricate broken beats.  The shift to House happened after re-discovering different classic records hidden in his collection. From here the idea to create a music project focused on representing the vibes of the old-school House, Techno and Garage with a propensity to find the newest, freshest sounds.  Rough samples, hypnotic melodies, groovy beats and vocals are the main ingredients that marks the Ruff Stuff’s sound. Recorded on 08.05.2021

#5 - David Silver

2021-05-0501:11:54

Born in Bozen, Italy. Lives in Berlin, Germany. At an early age, David Silver got to know the pleasure of making people dance. His love for everything house and techno came with listening to recordings from friends in Italy’s flourishing club scene, and his passion is reflected in his ever growing record collection. His never-ending digging sessions for vinyl are a reflection of a broad interest in music. All sections of the record shop are turned upside down when David visits. And what he takes home is a wide selection of records from the past fifty years.  David Silver’s style ranges from jazz to techno, with funk and disco being combined with classic sounding house. His style leans on Detroit’s tradition of combining various musical forms with raw electronic drum machines. The combination of classic sounding house, raw funk and uplifting disco proved to be a deadly cocktail for Sisyphos’s Wintergarten, where he regularly gets people dancing on the bar. Furthermore, his uptempo and energetic sound embraces the timeless sounds of Roland drum machines and the funky grit of MPC-sampled jazz & disco.

#4 - DJ Fucks Himself

2021-04-2801:52:17

DJ Fucks Himself is Berlin-based bass head, who plays and produces booty-shaking music as part of the collectives Raiders and Fucks & Friends. Having started as a digger of dusty crates, searching for rare breaks and deep disco, he has slowly transitioned to the really fast stuff by way of 80s Electro, 90s House and everything Rave-related. These days he mostly dabbles in jungle, juke, gabber and happy hardcore, which is better than its reputation. Find him on SoundCloud and Instagram, since Facebook deleted his artist profile because it was too explicit (the name not the content)!
#3 - Marie Midori

#3 - Marie Midori

2021-04-1402:15:41

Born in the ghettos of Berlin-Charlottenburg in the early 90's, her childhood was spent watching MTV and producing mixtapes from radio recordings of artists such as Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys. She taught herself guitar while volunteering as a scout leader, performing expletive laden love ballads around campfires and leading schoolgirls through the dark forests of Slovakia where she even survived a bear attack. After a brief stint busking on the streets of Dublin and little Irish villages to pay for her beatnik lifestyle travelling to odd corners of the globe, she then spent 3 years studying to be a German teacher before dropping out just before she graduated to become a DJ. In her late 20s, Marie Midori was self-diagnosed with hypersensibility and a manic compulsion for collecting tracks with that certain indefinable something. Wishing to both educate and entertain she blends together a broad spectrum of bassheavy dancemusic to an overall soundscape of driving percussion-work, odd melodies and playful breaks, letting her intuition guide the way to shape the energy on the dancefloor.

Imad is a music aficionado who enjoys creating sonic journeys with any sounds that resonate with him. Growing up in Canada, his first musical experiences came through playing trumpet and trombone in the school jazz band. A short while later he was inspired by 90s NY hip hop, soul, jazz and disco. After moving to Berlin with his family when he was 12, he would start making playlists for him and his friends to listen to and so it was only natural that he would start collecting vinyl and mixing later in 2017.
