How unbelievably excruciating this must have been for your family to live through, for this to have changed the trajectory of all of your lives in a way that in your telling of your experiences at the time and now I imagine only barely scratches the surface of your collective pain.

I lived in Miami at the time. Born in 67, I am 2yrs older than David. This breaks my heart in ways I can't begin to explain.
