"Oli's in" - those two words conjure up images of rocket balls in from the deep, stories and tales far beyond the field and a likeable, happy go-lucky, figure that endured to the social fabrics of Jakarta Barbarians life.  Hear from one of the most colorful characters from the early years as we journey through how Indonesia and Cricket helped mature a tearaway adolescent into a man.  Feel free to follow the pictures online of Taco's place and the now famous pig here!
Oli. NSFW. A story told once previously during a fine session after a game - I'd say GMIS but we really wouldn't know. This story is full on.  It's gory, it's matter of fact, it's serious, it's problematic and it's Dutch medical practices at their very best. Sit back, switch off your bluetooth speaker so no-one can hear and be transported to another world for 20 minutes.
Well, would you look at that!  It looks like the rain has set in and we are going to be in for a delay and that is a wrap for Season 1 of Cutting Oranges! In this episode, your show hosts reminisce over season 1, discuss some of the highlights and surprises and give us some insights into "What's Next?" Don't despair, we will be back with Season 2 in a few weeks time so stay tuned and witness the fitness!
This week we cut oranges with Sam.  The loveable, softly spoken kiwi pilot who forms the other half of the inseparable love story that is the Sam and Saul... or is it Saul and Sam?   Hear about his experiences flying across Indonesia, where his cricket journey began, and of course - that over! Check out some of Sam's memories online here which he shared as well.
Jared's passion for cricket is infectious, his thirst to learn and share his love for the game comes through during our chat with Jared, also affectionately known as Jailbait.  Hear his experience of Indonesia, coaching and growing the game across the archipelago as well as playing for the Jakarta Barbarians on and off the field during his tenure in Jakarta.
Hear who burnt Eki a few times out in the middle whilst you settle in for part 2 of our catch up with Eki.  On top of this, off-field highlights and our famous final 6 questions to round out our great chat with Eki.
The loveable Eki joins us on the Cutting Oranges podcast to talk all things on and off the field.  Eki spent part of his childhood growing up in Sydney, hear how he developed a love for the game, his rise to playing for the Indonesian national team, and his time playing for the Jakarta Barbarians Cricket Club.  Sit back and enjoy Part 1 of this two part episode.
"Disappointment reigns over the Dutchman!"  Hear part 2 of our catch up with Oli, relive his final innings for the Jakarta Barbarians at GMIS which Jon has posted online here.  Hear and bear witness to the Vodka Wars that nearly tore the club apart one evening and many other off-field highlights, and of course, our final 6 questions to end the innings.
Written into Jakarta Barbarians folklore is the tale of Pommy Tim who decided to take in the gastronomic delights one tour.  We take you back there to that infamous moment this episode and hear first hand from the man himself, plus many more highlights on our catch up with the wicket-keeper batsmen who often lives in the fringes of the shadow of society.
When Kunal joined the Jakarta Barbarians he was a tear away, good natured, fast bowler.  Over time, however, the imbalances of club life took a toll where his off-field highlights began to outweigh the on-field performances.  Sit back and enjoy some of the colorful moments from his early playing career and a recollection of his farewell not to be missed!
On this episode, we catch up with Saul.  The cocktail of a man with all shades of classic English pessimism mixed with rarely seen bursts of delight... Check out the Saigon Tour Batting Order as well as the now immortalized photo of Sam Mabey following that infamous over which we mentioned during our chat as well.  Enjoy!
Simsy, an absolute stalwart of club, primarily off field with assistance in tours, clubhouse and rhymes and riddles to boot.  Sit back and enjoy this one!
On our first episode, we catch up with the ever present Andrew Barnes.  A proud Englishman with a long list of off-field highlights from his time in Jakarta, with not too many on-field, hear first hand how the club was formed, some early stories of the formative years and plenty of giggles along the way.  We could've chatted for hours and we've split the episode into 2 parts!  So settle into Part 1 of our cracking yarn with Barnesy for Episode 1.
