The Sri Lankan Sweep?

The Sri Lankan Sweep?

2022-07-0433:47

We're turning the clock back as Australia dominate in Asia yet again and Stuart Broad is getting whacked around like it's a white-ball match.  The Sri Lankan Test series is sitting in Australia's favour and the boys discuss the best way to complete a clean sweep of the Tests, and it involves a bold selection change to Glenn Maxwell's benefit. Plus, plenty of sweeping and Cam Green chat. Baz-ball is facing it's first real test with India in a dominant position in their one-off Test match. Is there anything Jasprit Bumrah can't do while Jonny Bairstow continues to score runs for fun.  Channel 7 and Cricket Australia are in a legal battle but Faf du Plessis is going to play in the Big Bash so it's all good, right? Right? Australia is preparing for their first Test against Sri Lanka with some bold selections expected. Glenn Maxwell could make his triumphant return to the team while Jon Holland has come from the clouds and is in line to play in Galle with Australia eager to bring a left-arm finger spinner into the side with the memories of Rangana Herath still in mind.  England are in the box seat to clean sweep their Test series against New Zealand on the back of Bairstow's heroics yet again. Is Daryl Mitchell the best batter in the world though? There are renewed calls for the Big Bash League to be privatised while women's Test cricket is back on the schedule with South Africa set to play their first red-ball match since 2014 against Taunton in England.  Make sure to hit us up on socials or on boundaryriderpod@gmail.com for any questions you have around the world of cricket! ------- Boundary Rider Social Channels ------- TWITTER Lachlan McKirdy - @LMcKirdy7 Nic Savage - @nic_savage1 Boundary Rider Socials Facebook Instagram Twitter TikTok

Australia has been hammered by Bangladesh in one of their last T20 hit-outs before the World Cup and it's forced us not only to analyse our team but also our streaming options with a lack of a broadcast partner.  Virat Kohli got a golden duck. With Test cricket (and our awful sleeping patterns) resuming to its rightful place at the front of everyone's minds, we thought it would only be right to bring back The Boundary Rider for its winter season.  New Zealand and England kicked off their Test series with plenty of fanfare, even if there was nothing to play for. Colin de Grandhomme continues to show off his fabulous mullet to the world, while Kyle Jamieson is proving that being tall can actually make you a good cricketer, who knew? Ollie Robinson starred in what could be his only ever Test match. England's top order batting woes continued, so should we just give Australia the Ashes now? (please...) We also chat all things County Championship, IPL reschedule and have a look at what cricket Australia is going to be playing in the coming months. (Hint: there won't be much red ball action).  If you enjoy this episode of The Boundary Rider make sure to subscribe to the podcast and leave us a rating!
