Description

Hey! Charity, Crystal, Jackie, and Quortney here.

We’re so glad that you stopped by. It is each of our desires to share our portion from what God has given us from His inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word.

We each love to dig deep and study God’s Word, as it is written. And we want you to walk away knowing that no matter where you are in life, you CAN dig deeper into His Word as well!

God’s Word should be our ultimate authority, the lamp that guides our steps, the light that directs our paths, and the seed from which the fruit grows. He is our portion, and we’re sharing Him with you!

Our prayer is that by the help of the Holy Spirit you will come to realize that He is your portion in this life and He is all you need.

So, grab your Bible and a pen and come pull up a seat at the table because you are welcome here. Let’s glean from His Word together.

Anxiety wastes our time, steals our peace, and if we’re honest, puts us in rebellion against God’s clear command to “be careful for nothing” (Philippians 4:6). In this episode, Quortney digs into the irrational nature of worry, what Scripture says about it, and how choosing trust over fear is the only logical and biblical response. She even shares her own real life story of overcoming a long held fear of flying and how God’s sovereignty gave her perfect peace. If you’ve ever battled anxious t...

(Proverbs 11:14, Psalm 119:165) Heed Godly Counsel – Take the next right step in obedience, even when it feels small. Peace comes after faithful action. (Genesis 6:22) Replace...
In honest, I’m not a doctor or a licensed counselor, and in no way I’m saying you may or may not need that help also. I hope this episode will encourage you in the battle for your mind with anxiety. I love you, and I’m praying that you find the peace that God brings through the power of His Word. What a way to end the book of Philippians! Paul wrote Philippians from PRISON, and yet he talks more about joy and peace than anything else. If he can do that from a cell, we can learn to do it from our laundry piles and carpool lines. This episode will remind you that peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances… it’s found in the God who rules them. Support the show Connect with the ladies of Her Portion, HERE!
Paul had it all together when it came to “godliness.” He talks about knowing the law inside and out, and he was blameless; he had the best reputation in a religious sense. Yet, in context Paul tells us he puts all of that behind him for the mission that God had before him- to reach us messy Gentiles with the true message of the cross, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus is enough. Listen to this episode as Jackie talks about building your relationship on Christ. If your foundation h...

Paul wrote Philippians from prison, and yet, the theme of Christian joy leaps from the pages. How was he able to have joy in such difficult circumstances? His mind was set on Jesus Christ and the furtherance of the Gospel. Join Crystal as she shares a few lessons we can learn from Naomi and her journey back to the House of Bread found in the Book of Ruth. We don't want to be too hard on Naomi, but much of what we learn is what NOT to do. In the end, she did get a few things right on her journey toward restoration. Our God is a God of RESTORATION. He wants to bring us back into a right relationship with Him. A place of spiritual blessing, like the “House of Bread.” He will NOURISH us and help us to grow in...
If you think of Bathsheba’s story, it’s so twisted, yet God brought good from it for her. In all my years of hearing this story, I’ve only ever heard Bathsheba painted in a bad light as a seductress. Let’s break down Scripture to see what God really says about her, and not add our own cultural traditions to wrongfully judge this woman. This study is so powerful for today in the church. If you have your own crimes against you and were judged wrongfully, you are not alone. God...

Anyone who is trying to live a Spirit-filled--that is, a Spirit-controlled--life, is in the midst of a very real spiritual battle.
