The GBGBs return with their latest episode of Gosling's Garden, this time roping in special guest Ali! This time around we review the 2016 Shane Black action-comedy, The Nice Guys! In true Gosling-movie fashion, the film takes place in LA and gives us a nostalgic trip through a bygone era. But this time, Gosling plays a down on his luck private eye who teams up with toughguy Russell Crowe to solve a mystery in 1970s LA. There's goofs, there's gaffes, and there's lotsa laughs. What more could ya want?
The GBGBs also lead special guest Ali through their patented ice-breaker "Would You Rather" Game! No ice was broken. Actually, ice was formed. Who signs off on this stuff?.....
Thanks for stopping by!
The GBGBs are back with our review of GANGSTER SQUAD (2013). What, you don't remember this movie? C'mon it has Gosling, Emma Stone, Sean Penn, Thanos, The Falcon, Crossbones, Ant-Man's funny friend Luis.... Really?? Well it's about a ragtag team of mavericks who are trying to take down a mob boss in 1940s Los Angeles! It was also critically panned and was a box office flop. Not all of Gosling's movies are winners, but with a hit rate like that guy, we had to go for a stinker this week.
Ryan (our Ryan) also guides us through the arcane art of "remote viewing" a technique used by the CIA to locate UFOs buried under the Denver Airport *citation needed*.

Well folks, we made it. After 10 episodes of our Car Season it is time to bid adieu to cars and say ahoy to.... something else? Join us as we embark on our 9th State of the Podcast and debrief on our Car Season. Didn't listen to all the episodes? Well this might be the catch-up you're looking for! (pls still listen to the episodes we need those sweet viewer numbers so we can afford our GBGB megayacht).
The GBGBs also attempt questionable impressions of each movie and try to brainstorm "the ultimate car movie". Then, finally, the fate of season 10 is decided as the boys consult the WHEEL OF CHAOS (tm) to select the subject of our next marathon.

At long last, we have arrived at the end of the Car Season, SHINY AND CHROME! This week we reviewed the iconic reboot of an iconic franchise, Mad Max: Fury Road. This time around Tom Hardy plays our eponymous hero as he aids Furiosa (played by Charlize Theron) as she launches a daring escape with Immortan Joe's five wives from The Citadel. It's a absolutely buck wild ride front to back and a perfect send-off for a buck wild Car Movie Marathon.
Well well well they finally did it. The GBGBs watched the movie Cars for their Car Season. They fired up their car-microphones, sat in their car-chairs, and watched car-Owen Wilson figure out his car-problems for 2 car-hours. This movie is the culmination of a gradually increasing saturation of cars throughout the season. At no point has there been as many cars as Cars. If you want us to watch a movie with more cars, we can't do it. It's literally impossible because there are no movies with more cars than Cars. There's a scene with 200,000 cars in a stadium. What more could you possibly want?? Anyways, parents, this may be a kids movie but this episode is NOT for kids, so kids STAY AWAY, there's cussing and rude behavior in here!!

Here they come, here comes the GBGBs podcast, they are demons on your podcast feed, they are demons and they are gonna be after someone, after someone.....
The GBGBs are back with their long-awaited review of the 2008 Wachowskis film, SPEED RACER! They are also joined by special guest reviewer Ian, who grew up with our hosts in the great Arctic expanse of Alaska. This movie was a first-watch for the 4 of them, so it was a delightfully wild trip.
Did this film deserve its critical and commercial panning? Or was it a misunderstood masterpiece far ahead of its time, too bold and true in its vision that the shallow, ungrateful masses of 2008 couldn't possibly fathom a reboot that wasn't "gritty" or "tWiSteD" with F-words and dark humor? Sorry, I have been told to remain neutral for the remainder of this description.
Also discussed: the 2008 Teen Choice Awards and use of racing as an allegory for a characters journey (TM)
*Bad Audio Warning* Denali had some issues with his recording where everything sounded like it was blown out. We did our best with it, but it's still a little harsh, sorry about that folks!

The GBGBs are back (with special returning guest Micheal) to review our second movie featuring a car possessed by a demonic spirit (citation needed), Herbie: Fully Loaded! Micheal had last joined us during our review of Air Bud: Spikes Back, so we thought it was only appropriate to rope him into another 2000s Disney classic.
This movie stars Lindsay Lohan as an aspiring racecar driver who meets a mysterious Volkswagon Beetle that seemingly has a mind of its own.... Hijinks ensue, the Beetle farts and pees on 6 different people, and Justin Long looks great in a tank top.
Also discussed: The 2006 Kid's Choice Awards Quiz, what's a "car movie", and the terrifying real-world possibilities of having a self-aware car.

HAPPY HALLOWEEEEN! We're halfway through our Car Season and it's finally time for us to review a movie that STARS a car, Christine (1983)! The GBGBs have also invited their friend Trevor as a guest reviewer to help us digest this wild adaptation of a Stephen King classic.
This movie is directed by John Carpenter and features a KILLER CAR that begins to possess the mind and spirit of an unwitting nerdy teenager named Arnie. As the story progresses, Arnie transforms in to a cool and mysterious weirdo who begins to freak out his friends. Can they stop this strange car it consumes them all? Find out in our review of Christine! Or ya know, maybe watch the movie first? Idk who are we to say.

QUICKLY, there isn't much time! The GBGBs watched Gone in 60 Seconds (2000) this week where Nicholas Cage has to steal 50 cars in 3 days. So far our car season has had movies with a few cars, but this movie has FIFTY of 'em. There's other famous folks in there too, like Angelina Jolie, Robert Duvall, Timothy Olyphant and Michael Pena, what a cast! Oh geez we already wasted too much time. Okay okay this movie is wild, its got heists, car jumps, an evil british guy who loves woodworking, and a chase scene down the LA river. The GBGBs also discuss how we can improve cars and introduce BattleCars as a sanctioned sport. Okay we made it!!

Well well well it finally happened, the GBGBs reviewed The Art of Racing in the Rain, the lost film that has been on our watchlist since our legendary Dog Season. This will hopefully be our only dog movie in our Car Season but you never know what these boys are gonna do to each other.
This movie stars Kevin Costner as a golden retriever who narrates the life of a racecar driver played by Milo Ventimiglia. Most of the movie is the dog waxing poetic while a Hallmark movie messily unfolds in the background. This movie cost $4 to rent on Amazon but if you want to save your money, listen to this episode and we'll walk you through the whole thing.

This week we're doing something a little special for ep 9 of our Seann William Scott season- we are watching and reviewing 2 different TV appearances by our boy SWS. First we review S9E5 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, "Mac Day" where SWS guest stars as "Country Mac". Then we take a look at S3E9 of the Lethal Weapon TV show where SWS costars as ex-CIA Wesley Cole.
This one is gonna get weird folks.... The GBGBs also explore their best SWS impressions with Mad Libs and discuss the phenomenon of film actors crossing into TV.

Eight episodes into our Seann William Scott marathon and we have arrived at GOON (2011)! This film had a limited release in Canada but later surged in popularity on Netflix, leading fans to consider this a bit of a comeback for our buddy SWS.
Goon stars Seann William Scott as Doug Glatt, a dimwitted hockey fan who gets recruited to a minor league hockey team as an "Enforcer" after a video of him fighting goes viral.
Also discussed: possible improvements to the game of hockey, watching local hockey brawls, and Ryan's painful tattoo story.

Hark ye knaves! The Good Boys Gone Bland Podcast hath continueth their marathon of Lord Seann William of Scott in their review of Role Models (2008)!
The boys discuss how to improve live action role-play and Ryan leads us in another round of GBGB Survivor! (This time pitting the characters of Seann, Anne Hathaway and Keanu Reeves against each other for the ultimate prize....)
Note: This episode had some technical issues causing Denali's audio to sound weird. Sorry about that folks!

The GBGBs watch their first made-for-tv movie with their review of the 2002 film Stark Raving Mad! We are also joined by friend of the podcast Kaimi to help us review this dang thing.
This movie stars our good pal Seann William Scott as the wisecracking leader of a heist crew who are attempting to steal an ancient statue under the cover of a rave. Does this sound like an insane AI output? Yes. But fear not friends, this movie is all natty, and boy is it a doozy.
Thanks for stopping by!
Does anyone else remember Seann William Scott being in Final Destination? Per our Seann Rule, he is once again the best part of the movie. This dude was coming hot out of the gate in 2000 with this unique twist on the horror genre. Final Destination spawned a long line of sequels and induced a lifelong fear of log trucks for an entire generation.
In addition to reviewing the movie, the boys also brainstorm how they could make airplanes better and revel in an effective deployment of our boy Seann.
Thanks for stopping by!
Anyone remember the absolutely insane 2003 film "Bulletproof Monk"? Well these boys (sorta) do! Join us as we discuss another entry in our Seann William Scott season. One that also hails from his legendary run in 2003 where he starred in 4 consecutive movies.
The GBGBs once again discuss if our boy Seann deserves more credit for what he brought to these wild movies. Is there something here that people were missing? They also attempt to brainstorm a brand new martial art and discuss whether or not Mr. Funktastic deserved more screentime.
Thanks for stopping by!
WE'RE BACK! The GBGBs are here with a fresh steaming podcast roll straight from the Seann Shack Oven. This week we reviewed 2003's "The Rundown", starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as a tough mob bounty hunter tasked with tracking down a spoiled mobster's treasure hunting son played by Seann William Scott.
The GBGBs also bring back their ill-advised improv comedy segment and discuss how WWE has enriched our media.
Thanks for stopping by!
The Seann Shack continues with our review of Evolution (2001)! This sci-fi comedy stars Orlando Jones and David Duchovny as community college professors who have uncovered evidence of rapidly evolving alien life from a meteorite. Our boy Seann William Scott plays an overzealous firefighter recruit who aids the professors in getting to the bottom of this strange alien invasion.
The GBGBs also discuss moldy leftovers, conspiracy theories, and our evolving knowledge of what makes a Seann William Scott movie.
Thanks for stopping by!
The Wheel of Chaos has spoken! The GBGBs are reviewing 10 Seann William Scott movies for season 8. This week they kick off the season with their review of "Dude Where's My Car" (2000), a classic in the pantheon of stoner comedies, starring Seann William Scott and Ashton Kutcher as a pair of goofballs who lost their car after a night of partying.
The GBGBs also discuss what SWS means to them and try to nail down what defines his essence (Seannsence?). So strap in, get shibby, and join us for the Seann Shack!
THE TIME HAS COME. The boys have gathered for their seasonal State of the Podcast to discuss and debrief on our past Apocalypse season. What did we think of each movie? Were there some we wish we could re-review? The boys also brainstorm which apocalypse would win in a fight and take turns doing impressions of the disasters in each movie.
Then FINALLY, the GBGBs consult the Wheel of Chaos (TM) to decide on the fate of next season. Will Denali at last get his Fast and Furious season? Will the boys embark on a marathon of medieval dragon movies? Will an unsung hero finally get his due attention as a GBGBs season? Find out in STATE OF THE PODCAST 7!
