I've always loved Sade's music and have created a few edits and remixes throughout the years but more recently played the 'Sade Night' party in LA, hosted by Vacations and in prepping really went into a deeper dive. This one moves through the decades without getting too deep or too obvious - with a bit of satire woven in, playing with the over the top emotions and dramatic storytelling that make love songs so iconic. At the end, I had fun letting the eras speak to each other in a way that felt right. Also, this was my first mix on the CDJ 3000s, and I had hella fun putting it together. I took time away to focus on my daytime career and also to play out a ton of live shows in Chicago and also a few in NYC, LA and in the Bay Area.
