Today we are learning all about Sons of the Flag through a conversation with an ambassador for the organization, Joe Yowler.  We also have guest host today, Heather Yowler! Joe shares with us about each of the programs within the non-profit. How they receive their funds and how they are intentional with meeting the needs of our veterans. Is it someone in your family? Or perhaps a neighbor? Wouldn't you love to show them your appreciation for their service in a fun and unique way? Since you've said yes then you will need to get one of our Flagging Kits!  With a minimum donation of $25, of course you can donate more if your heart desires, Genuine Team will provide you with a yard sign and 11 flags so you can decorate the yard of the veteran you are thankful for!  Genuine Team will be on site at The Old Armor Brewery in downtown Kannapolis on October 29, 30, 31st and again on November 5th and 6th 2021 so you can come make a donation and pick up your flagging kit!  We will also have an online option if you can not make it to one of those dates. The online kits will be set at a $40 flat donation. We talk about God's purpose for her and how she was able to make tough decisions with the support of those around her. Having the courage to stand up for God's truth should be an honorable and a righteous task. However in a tense and divided culture it can be met with harsh judgement, criticism, and misunderstanding. Today on Genuine Podcast we are talking to Penny Maxwell, lead pastor at Freedom House Church , about why standing up for her church and the citizens of our community is necessary. Penny shares with us how God is moving in her life, why most pastors aren't speaking out, and how the issues we face today are relative to the Bible.
