Description
The actress Wyn Reed had that powerful combination of charisma, beauty and smarts. She was such a talent that a team of movie producers couldn’t believe it when the 28 year-old Wyn agreed to play the lead — a killer—in their upcoming, small-budget, horror movie. What the filmmakers didn’t know, as they got on location, was that Wyn wasn’t really Wyn. That was all make believe. But the killer part? That was real. This original podcast series from Keith Morrison and Dateline NBC tells a story even Hollywood couldn’t have imagined.

wow that mother is annoying and fake af
when three people have the same story it's like they're telling the truth or something so wrong with police tell the truth they must have made the story up tell the truth they must be all in a conspiracy together tell the truth it just doesn't matter they're always going to think you're lying. never talk to police always request an attorney every time
you're really stretching it for this story when you have three women say the same story it's not because they made it up it's because it's probably true I know you need ratings but Jesus Christ
Kelly set this all up to get everything and it worked. Then Kelly & Shane’s mother helped. Both of them were just as guilty if not more.
i think this show needs a few more producers😃
But if Shane scheduled the notary, then why was Kelly, Tucker and Lori at the house?? Did they go to the house prior and just waited there for Shane to arrive?
so many aspects are heartbreaking. hearing this woman transform into a gelatinous sobbing puddle as the realization dawns on her that she is being thrown under the bus, and of course the final outcome.
for goodness sake 4-5 of these episodes are just the same interview played over and over.
This podcast is fascinating. Thank you for your amazing ability to both, be a great journalist, and to weave a tale; to draw me in to the person's life of whom you're telling.
WARNING This episode includes an audio recording of a man dying. It shows the noises an actual human being made after being fatally shot with no warning immediately preceding the audio. It is extremely disturbing. Please be aware of that before listening.
"Like the screams of a woman at the gates of hell." 🤣🤣🤣
awful dinner theater level acting from this mom/daughter duo
jeez, does this show have enough producers??
talk about stretching it out this could just as easily be done in 2-3 episodes.
a recent date line I saw was almost the same scenario a family dynamics, but the father was the killer and the daughter was the planner they got 68 and 48 years respectively. then from prison the daughter tried to develop a hit upon her ex mother-in-law using her mother to transfer money to the hitman, and even her mother got as much time as Tucker got for pulling the trigger. meanwhile Tucker's mother gets the house/ farm and no jail time. doesn't make sense. Small town and cobid or not, she got away with murder.
Too easy
The way they pronounce Aisling...😂. It's a Celtic name that's supposed to be pronounced like Ash-ling, Ash-lin, or Ash-leen. 🤷♀️😁
Absolutely ridiculous plea bargain!!!
that last 16 seconds of the recording from the young woman's cell phone. omg. I never need to hear that again. 😢
I think I have fallen prey to the sunken costs fallacy with this podcast: I've trudged along this far, I might as well make it to the end. even if it moves at about .5 mph
