Utilizing the many Group Trips MFCC had to offer this season, Tim was able to catch the Cape Cod Grand Slam in one trip with Captain Tyler Putney of Flatliner Charters! He successfully landed a Striper, Blue Fish, Bonito, and False Albacore in one day which made for one of the most memorable experiences of his life.

Welcome to another edition of the My Fishing Cape Cod Podcast presented by Cape & Islands Mitsubishi! In this episode, we are joined by veteran MFCC Member, Jeff Boswell.
Jeff has been a member of the site for 6 years now and has fully utilized all that MFCC has to offer. Through the My Fishing Cape Cod Forum he has honed his surfcasting skills, gained the confidence to participate in derbies such as the 36-Hour Grind, and is now pursuing his newfound passion for Blue Fin Tuna!
After successfully landing a recreational Blue Fin aboard an MFCC Group Trip with Captain Cullen Lundholm of Cape Star Charters, Jeff has outfitted his 23-foot boat with the proper gear to target Tuna. After getting help from a number of anglers in the MFCC Forum, on only his third attempt, Jeff hooked into a Giant North Atlantic Blue Fin. After an over 3-hour battle, the fish chafed on the prop and was lost. This amazing fight along with the lessons learned from the trip are fueling Jeff in 2025 to land a Blue Fin Tuna on his own!
