Changes can be unnerving and overwhelming for many, causing us to question and resist them. However, change is an inevitable part of our lives, both personally and professionally. Running away from it is not a solution. So, how should we deal with change? In this episode, we are joined by Timothy Oh, a multi-award-winning branding expert in Asia, who is also the General Manager at Engage Co. and a Marketing Director for a leading global gaming software company. During our conversation, Tim shares his drive to embrace change, what fuels his journey, and the valuable lessons he has learned along the way. We also explore the habits and rituals that help him stay focused and motivated.
As women continue to build and strengthen their presence in the workplace, thriving into leadership positions, it is no secret that there are still prominent challenges that women encounter along the way. Equal pay, bias, microaggression, and motherhood are a few examples of hurdles that woman face on a day-to-day basis. Diversity of race, ethnicity, gender, and background is minimal within STEMM industries. In fact, our research shows that ‘values diversity’ is one of the lowest-rated leadership competencies amongst male STEMM leaders, yet one of the highest-rated for women in STEMM. Bat for a Chance (“BFAC”) has taken the cricket world by storm after being founded by cricket-mad school-boy Will Gaffney in 2019, when he was just 15 years old. The charity enables underprivileged children worldwide to “experience the joy of cricket” through the provision of kit sourced in the UK, with a particular emphasis on projects in Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and the West Indies as well as in the UK.
