If we have had an over-clinicalised miscarriage, we can still journey with reclaiming this rite of passage - this threshold - through ritual and ceremony, reclaiming parts of ourselves that have felt lost to this process. Telling our story - and being seen and held in sisterhood - is a deeply crucial step in our healing journey, for personal closure. Sharing it with others also offers a remedy for them, too. What You'll Learn from this Episode: There's usually a deep-seated wound that often stops us from slowing down - and that's the fear of falling behind (though it can also be other things) When we push through and try to speed up, we're often responding to a childhood fear or experience of being inadequate or abandoned Likewise there is a cultural conditioning - societal norms often reward us and make us feel more valid if we are urgent and productive, which leads to a collective misunderstanding that rest is the equivalent of laziness We can heal this by working with the archetypal remedy, Phosphorus - symbolised by the substance on a match which lights fires, this represents our passion and radiance in a healthy state, but in our wounded state, it points to our sensitivity that leads to burn out The route to healing this pattern is really about becoming aware of our internal patterns and the stories that drive our need for constant action - and loving these lost parts of our soul back home. What You'll Learn from this Episode: We can often feel unsafe to express ourselves due to the expectations of society - which often have us stuck in patterns of staying on the hamster wheel, burning out, people-pleasing and hiding our magic To begin the journey back to authenticity requires us to get quiet, pause and attune to our inner wisdom - even though that can feel challenging (and we also might not like what we hear) - we have to have time to 'gestate' our rebirth Facing our fear of expressing ourselves isn't easy, and requires deep courage and acceptance that being authentic and sharing our voices may result in both adoration and criticism (and staying open to seeing that's okay!) As aspiring healers, it's important to learn a new way of business and marketing that comes from a more feminine lens (supported by the masculine), rather than some of the more 'traditional' marketing approaches which come from the lens of lack and manipulation. To do that, we need to learn to have 'authentic influence' - to embody the frequency of purity and truth - which is different from 'manipulative' marketing. Whilst we might think that AI is robotic and the opposite of authenticity, AI can be a really supportive container to hold our message as we begin to create - offering a masculine structure of remembering our values, whilst allowing us to focus on authentic expression. There are different levels of consciousness (intuitive, intellectual, willful, reactive) which influence how we market ourselves as healers - and it's helpful to have awareness of these (and which level we, and the people we can serve are in) to reach people authentically. There's no 'right' in how we express our message as healers - only learning to be had. We just have to start expressing our souls, and be open to learning what meets people where they are. On the Secret Witch Show today, Nicole is diving into how our struggles, challenges, things going 'wrong', and even our trauma can become our remedies - and how we can reclaim our power and stop fighting that alchemy process. Sharing her own personal journey, she explores how we enter 'remedy states' each time we meet challenges - and how we have been conditioned to shy away from and avoid our darkness, which often leaves us (innocently) locked in that wounded state, 'resisting' the lesson. Instead, she shares how we can open to learning new skills to meet ourselves lovingly in our triggers, wounds and challenges, so that we can receive the gold from them. Exploring how our gifts are found in our wounds - and how we can cultivate self-love, safety, vulnerability, and deeper intimacy with them in order to heal ourselves - this episode offers a transformative perspective of challenges as opportunities for growth. And it does this in a way that doesn't also have us 'bypassing' our pain, but honouring and acknowledging it - aka truly healing it. What You'll Learn from this Episode: 'Lessons' are often to be found in all the things that go 'wrong' in our lives - our challenging experiences or traumas not met well in childhood often lead us to a cycle of suppression and fear of adversity This can 'lock us in' to a remedy state that clouds who we are, leaving our scared, wounded inner little girl in charge of navigating our challenges - until we reclaim our power by welcoming and loving her, so that we can pause and go into find the gold in them We assume that healing should be a quick fix sticky plaster that immediately solves our challenge - but really, true healing often involves a healing response that takes us back to the moment we experienced a soul rupture, so that we can revisit it and decide again - whilst we unsuppress whatever was suppressed.  That moment is where our lesson is, which makes our moments of challenge opportunities for healing People can often be our biggest triggers, but they are also 'remedies' and mirrors for us in our healing - that's why Nicole has created the Secret Witch's Apothecary Membership We often need to create a sense of safety for our child to meet triggers - because for the Secret Witch, especially, this way of working is largely not something that's been modelled.  It requires us to learn new healing skills - like nervous system tending, true self-love and acceptance, and capacity to hold the tension and pause in our triggers - and these skills can take a little time, tenderness and love to learn.
