This is the third swing that we are taking at voting in season 4. This time we are assuming that you agree that you should exercise your responsibility to engage with the political system, and we have laid the groundwork to be able to weather the outcome regardless of if ‘our side’ wins. Today we are going to wrestle with the really hard question: How do you select the best candidate. We are going to attempt to lay out a faithful Christian approach to this very divisive topic. If Christians believe that all humanity bear the image of God as their birthright, and are therefore of infinite and eternal value, why is there such a wide set of responses to, and engagement with the lives of the poor, the weak and the needy? We are going to seek for biblical fidelity as we wrestle through to find blind spots that God would call us to identify and surrender to Him.
