Andy Casey is a former paparazzi photographer, who has since turned his attentions towards founding an impressive media and photographic empire. Andy joins Matt to talk about the pressures of fame and the role he played in the story of some incredible names, the role of the media in the celebrity world, and why he chose to step away in order to focus on a different form of capturing images that live forever. KEY TAKEAWAYS The power of social media is such that our online presence can even live on after we are gone. In this respect, social media acts as a kind of document. The darker side of social media is that it allows anonymous access to people. You can be as terrible as you want to be with little fear of recriminations. You leave a legacy behind by helping others to change their lives for the better. Knowledge and inspiration are the most valuable things we can pass on to others. BEST MOMENTS 'I had all these goals and no way of getting there' 'That could have been a million-dollar photo' 'I want to be able to grow my business' 'The world is a strange place right now and we don't know what's around the corner' VALUABLE RESOURCES Upright Media - https://www.uprightmedia.co.uk/who-we-are-north-devon-photographer-videographer ABOUT THE HOST  Matt Fiddes is on a personal journey to bring his high-energy and down to earth style of leadership to businesses of all sizes to teach them how to scale and grow their businesses. With a globally renowned brand with a estimated brand worth at over £200 Million and a private Multi-million property portfolio which he started building at 18 yrs old. Jeannette Linfoot is a highly regarded senior executive, property investor, board advisor, and business mentor with over 25 years of global professional business experience across the travel, leisure, hospitality, and property sectors. Having bought, ran, and sold businesses all over the world, Jeannette now has a portfolio of her own businesses and also advises and mentors other business leaders to drive forward their strategies as well as their own personal development. Jeanette joins Matt on this special episode, to talk about the ways in which we can take control of finance, investments and expenses in the next five years, how the travel industry is slowly recovering from the effects of the pandemic, and how we can traverse the uncertain financial voyage ahead KEY TAKEAWAYS When we are brought up with challenges in life, it encourages us to push harder and reach higher when it comes to our goals. We have recently emerged from the pandemic, which has ambushed the travel industry, and brought it to its knees. This has meant that the resurrection of the sector has become far more complex that passengers realise. If your objective is to replace your income quickly, then buy-to-let will probably not work for you. If you wish to achieve an income that's less volatile, and provides equity growth and steady income, then buy-to-lets work nicely. Diversity is key when it comes to investing. Social media is a vital component in enabling your entrepreneurial ambitions. Used correctly, your reach and impact can exponentially increase, meaning that the client base you can reach is potentially limitless. BEST MOMENTS 'I always knew that I was a bit of a black sheep. I had the drive and ambition to explore the world and make something of myself' 'Domestic travel has really had a boom' 'The strategy, or what you're trying to invest in, should really fit in with what you're trying to achieve' 'To become an entrepreneur, social media is essential' ABOUT THE GUEST Jeannette Linfoot is a down-to-earth leader, a passionate champion for diversity & inclusion, and a huge advocate of nurturing talent so every person can unleash their full potential and live their dreams.  Jeannette’s linktree - https://linktr.ee/JLinfoot https://www.jeannettelinfootassociates.com/ YOUTUBE - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtsU57ZGoPhm55_X0qF16_Q LinkedIn- https://uk.linkedin.com/in/jeannettelinfoot Facebook- https://uk.linkedin.com/in/jeannettelinfoot Instagram- https://www.instagram.com/jeannette.linfoot/ Email - info@jeannettelinfootassociates.com ABOUT THE HOST  Matt Fiddes is on a personal journey to bring his high-energy and down to earth style of leadership to businesses of all sizes to teach them how to scale and grow their businesses. With a globally renowned brand with a estimated brand worth at over £200 Million and a private Multi-million property portfolio which he started building at 18 yrs old. Gerald Ratner is a British businessman and motivational speaker. He was formerly a chief executive officer of the major British jewellery company Ratners Group. He achieved notoriety after making a speech in which he jokingly denigrated two of the company's products. He currently speaks around the world at corporate and promotional events. Gerald joins Matt to talk about his fascinating business story, the most important business lessons he's accrued through his journey, how he went from the heights of success to rock bottom, the part the media played in his downfall, and how he has channelled resilience and called upon his own strengths and business skills to put himself back on top. KEY TAKEAWAYS No matter if your business is a market stall, or a multi-million pound global concern, the fundamental operations remain the same. It's about letting the world know you exist and why they are far better to come to you. There is no substitute for real world experience. Theoretical education can only take you so far. You need to get out there and do it for yourself. When people turn their backs on us at low points in our success story, it says more about them than it does about you. Some only want to know you when you're at the top, but the real people will stick when you hit the lows, too. You can have all the money in the world, but if you don't take care of your health, then you're working for nothing. You only get one life - make it a long and healthy one. BEST MOMENTS 'It's about making the right decisions, the smart decisions. It's not about using up shoe leather' 'You have to learn your trade' 'In retail, if you change things, you get quick results' 'Health and wealth are very much connected' ABOUT THE HOST  Matt Fiddes is on a personal journey to bring his high-energy and down to earth style of leadership to businesses of all sizes to teach them how to scale and grow their businesses. With a globally renowned brand with a estimated brand worth at over £200 Million and a private Multi-million property portfolio which he started building at 18 yrs old. During a routine foot patrol in Afghanistan, Royal Marines Commando Mark Ormrod stepped on and triggered an Improvised Explosive Device. He was airlifted via helicopter to an emergency field hospital in a desperate attempt to try and save his life. He woke up three days later to finds that both of his legs had been amputated above the knee and his right arm amputated above the elbow. During his recovery the doctors told him that he’d never walk again and that he should prepare himself for the rest of his life in a wheelchair. However, Mark refused to be beaten by his circumstances, and since this tragic incident, has gone on to become an internationally acclaimed motivational speaker, a peak performance coach, and the author of the award winning auto-biography Man Down. In this episode, Mark joins Matt to talk about how he has turned his personal tragedy into an on going story of personal success and the ways in which he is helping others who may have suffered setbacks or feel they are not yet achieving their maximum potential to take charge of their lives, unleash their personal power and live a life with#NoLimits KEY TAKEAWAYS Though we may face challenges and setbacks in life, we must always remember that others out there have it harder. Overcoming challenge is all about altering our perspective, and realising that nothing is insurmountable. Our bodies are incredible things, and can insulate us from pain when need be, by allowing us to step outside of an experience. Most pain originates in the mind. Martial arts have provided a new focus for Mark, and have allowed him to use logic and his physicality in the pursuit of a new way of competing at the highest level. By focussing too much on the past, we remove ourselves from the valuable present. Life is about what's next, not what came before. Each day is what you make it. BEST MOMENTS 'What he's come back from, from where he was back then, is nothing short of phenomenal' 'This will always be a part of who I am, my legacy is working in communities and doing what I can to help people' 'It was phenomenal to witness how professional those men were in that situation' 'I focus on what my strengths are'ABOUT THE HOST  Matt Fiddes is on a personal journey to bring his high-energy and down to earth style of leadership to businesses of all sizes to teach them how to scale and grow their businesses. With a globally renowned brand with a estimated brand worth at over £200 Million and a private Multi-million property portfolio which he started building at 18 yrs old. Matt remembers how Michael Jackson was always professional and very much the businessman. Find the truth about Ross Kemp's latest documentary Searching for Michael Jackson's Zoo in Matt Fiddes'  WATCH THE VIDEO NOW - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om5QZhy5Hf0 Matt is very protective of his ex-friend Michael Jackson, who he describes as one of the most caring people he has ever met. He is tired of the constant negative documentaries and narrative being put out, particularly after his death. Join him on this episode where he speaks to Rob Swinson, Neverland Valley Park Developer and trusted friend of Michael Jackson and host and Larry. They both worked closely alongside Michael and Matt talks to them about their experience of being part of the new documentary: Michael Jacksons Zoo and what they actually saw whilst working with Michael.  KEY TAKEAWAYS Matt was almost talked into appearing on the Michael Jacksons Zoo documentary too. He was assured that it would show Michael in a positive light but Matt knew after the history of the media narrative surrounding Michael that this would be highly unlikely. He was also suspicious of the angle and how something positive would be so highly funded, so he declined. Both Rob and Matt saw the care Michael gave to so many children, that was his dream for Neverland. Neverland was built out of his mission and care to help people. He didn’t spend as much time in the park as often perceived, he was busy working. He mostly paid people to run things for him, including the zoo.  Neverland is perceived as Michael Jacksons home, but he wasn’t there like you and I are in our home. Larry had free reign on the Neverland home, nowhere was off limits. He saw so many things that contradict rumours about him including what a doting father he was and how much he trusted animals and children. The Neverland Zoo wasn’t a zoo as you would imagine in a city. It was very well maintained and it wasn’t very large and was focused on the animals.   BEST MOMENTS “No one wants to talk about the care inside of Michael Jackson” “He was never at Neverland, he was busy with music, he was in LA” “You say animals were the only ones he could trust but secondarily he felt he could trust kids more than grownups but in the long run kids turned on him too mainly because the parents were behind them” “He was a child at heart and I was too, that’s one of the reasons we bonded so well” “You get tricked doing these interviews and you were clearly tricked” ABOUT THE HOST    Matt Fiddes    Matt Fiddes is on a personal journey to bring his high-energy and down to earth style of leadership to businesses of all sizes to teach them how to scale and grow their businesses.
