Making God Known

Making God Known

2024-01-2122:50

“No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.” John 1:18 God wants to be known by us. Because Jesus came we can know God on a personal level. Let’s make ourselves available to Him to know Him as He truly is.
This series examines the Gospels that form the foundation of our understanding of who Jesus is, what He did and what He invites us into. It is when we recognize Him and learn to trust Him that we learn He is a Heavenly Father of abundant love and provision. This week we looked at John 1:6-8. "God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony. John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God." Pastor Scott begins a new series named 'Gospel Foundations'. This week we looked at how Jesus is the Light and the Word. John 1:1-5 #truenorthcf
