Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 John 5:8 Gratitude magnifies the miracles in our lives. Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus healing a man at the Pool of Bethesda. After 38 years of illness, the man was restored by Jesus' command. This miraculous healing was met with criticism from the Pharisees, who opposed Jesus for performing miracles on the Sabbath. STORY Bible in a Year: Healing at the Pool Scripture Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. John 5:8-9 Have you ever felt trapped in a situation with no way out, like the man at the Pool of Bethesda? For thirty-eight years, this man suffered, watching others receive healing while he remained helpless and alone. His hope had dwindled, but Jesus saw his plight and approached him with compassion. What does Jesus’ question, "Do you want to be made well?" reveal about His understanding of our needs? Jesus knew the man's deepest desire but wanted him to voice it, showing that healing often begins with a desire for change and faith in God's power. The man's response indicated his hopelessness, yet Jesus' command brought immediate healing, demonstrating His authority over sickness. How can you cultivate a desire for spiritual, emotional, or physical healing in your own life? Jesus’ healing of the invalid man teaches us that no situation is beyond His power to redeem. Whether we are facing long-term illness, emotional pain, or spiritual struggles, Jesus invites us to trust in His ability to restore us. What is your response to the healing Jesus offers? Despite the man's miraculous healing, the Pharisees focused on legalistic details, missing the miracle and the compassion behind it. They rebuked the healed man for carrying his mat on the Sabbath, showing their hardened hearts and resistance to Jesus' ministry. How can you shift your focus from legalistic concerns to recognizing and celebrating God's work in your life and others? Reflecting on this story, we are encouraged to embrace the healing and transformation Jesus offers, recognizing His power and authority over every aspect of our lives. We are also challenged to respond to His work with gratitude and faith, rather than criticism and unbelief. REFLECTION Reflect on areas in your life where you need Jesus' healing touch. Are you feeling hopeless or stuck in a situation? This week, bring your needs to Jesus in prayer, expressing your desire for healing and restoration. Trust in His power to transform your circumstances, no matter how long you have struggled. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Plan your next day’s schedule and meals before going to bed. PRAYER Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. JOHN 5:8 Today is the day Lord! Today is the day that I have decided to pick up my mat and walk. No longer will I lay amongst the sick and do nothing to change my condition in life. When I am at the place called Bethesda the “The House of Grace” I will not miss my moment to step into the stirring of Your power to receive the newness that I desire. When defeating thoughts within myself tell me to become comfortable with my condition I will yell No! No to mediocrity! No to illness! No to laziness, and No to complacency! This is my year of breakthrough, this is my year of healing and nothing will stand in my way from receiving what’s mine! So I speak to myself and say get up! I speak to my mind and say… wake up! Jesus has already given me the green light to move on and to be well and that’s exactly what I'm going to do! It doesn’t matter how long I’ve battled, for I am getting up more and moving on! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Luke 8:47 Faith is the bridge between despair and healing. ❤️‍🩹 Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus healing a woman with chronic bleeding and raising Jairus' daughter from the dead. These miracles demonstrate Jesus' authority over sickness and death, revealing His compassionate power and divine authority. STORY Bible in a Year: The Little Girl and Bleeding Woman Scripture But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Matthew 9:22 Have you ever felt utterly hopeless in the face of illness or death? The stories of Jairus' daughter and the bleeding woman illustrate the incredible power of faith and Jesus’ compassionate authority over the most desperate situations. Jairus, a respected synagogue leader, was desperate for his dying daughter. His faith led him to Jesus, who agreed to help. As they made their way, a woman who had been suffering for twelve long years reached out to Jesus, believing that even touching His cloak would heal her. Her faith was rewarded with immediate healing. What does the woman’s faith teach us about the power of belief in Jesus' healing? Her act of faith, despite years of suffering, shows that true belief in Jesus' power can bring about miraculous change. It encourages us to reach out to Him in our moments of desperation. How can you exercise faith in Jesus during your own times of suffering or need? Upon arriving at Jairus' home, they were met with news of the girl's death. But Jesus, undeterred, asked the mourners to leave and entered the girl’s room. With a simple command, He brought her back to life, demonstrating His ultimate authority over death. What does Jesus’ raising of Jairus' daughter teach us about His power over death? This miracle reassures us that Jesus holds power over life and death, and nothing is beyond His control. It offers hope that even in the darkest moments, Jesus has the authority to bring life and restoration. How does this story impact your understanding of Jesus' role in your life? Reflecting on these events, we see that Jesus responds to faith with compassion and power. He is not only willing to heal but is also able to restore life. These stories challenge us to deepen our faith and trust in His divine authority. REFLECTION Reflect on your own moments of despair or hopelessness. Are there areas in your life where you need to reach out in faith to Jesus? This week, take a step of faith, trusting in Jesus' power to heal and restore. Whether you are facing physical illness, emotional pain, or a situation that seems beyond hope, believe that Jesus has the authority over it. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Decline participating in a conversation that tears someone down. PRAYER And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. LUKE 8:47 Jesus You are the author of life. You are the one that can make dead things alive again and with this truth I release faith and anticipation into my day! I believe with my whole heart that when life deals me blows of disappointment, and I’m bleeding defeat from within, that just one touch from You can change everything. When my faith is low and my energy is drained, position me, Holy Spirit, in the place where Jesus is, so that I can receive my healing and restoration. I don’t care about what others are saying or about how many times I get knocked down, I will not stop until I am restored and made whole. In the same way You healed the girl, Jesus, I pronounce healing and life to flow into every place of my life! Because You are willing Jesus, I realize that as I activate my faith like Jairus, dormant dreams and dormant promises will arise to need my attention and affection! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Matthew 8:26 When the waves of life rise, anchor yourself in Jesus. Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus calming the storm and healing a demon-possessed man. Jesus demonstrated His authority over nature and the spiritual realm, calming both a raging storm and a tormented soul with His powerful word. STORY Bible in a Year: The Storm Within Scripture And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39 Have you ever felt overwhelmed by life’s storms, wondering if you would make it through? The disciples experienced such a moment on the Sea of Galilee. As a fierce storm threatened to capsize their boat, they were filled with fear. But Jesus, asleep amid the chaos, awoke and with a simple command, calmed the wind and waves. His words, “Peace, be still,” brought instant calm to the stormy sea, revealing His divine authority over nature. What does Jesus' calming of the storm teach us about His power and presence in our lives? It reminds us that no matter how turbulent our circumstances, Jesus has the power to bring peace and calm. His presence with us in the storm assures us that we are never alone. How can you invite Jesus into the storms of your life? Upon reaching the shore, Jesus was met by a man possessed by a legion of demons. This man, tormented and ostracized, ran to Jesus, recognizing His authority. Jesus commanded the demons to leave, freeing the man from his torment. This miraculous deliverance showcases Jesus' authority over the spiritual realm and His compassion for those who are suffering. What does the healing of the demon-possessed man teach us about Jesus' compassion and power? It shows that Jesus is not only willing to confront the spiritual battles we face but is also powerful enough to bring us complete deliverance and restoration. How can you rely on Jesus for both physical and spiritual healing? Reflecting on these stories, we see that Jesus' power and authority extend over all creation, whether calming a physical storm or delivering a soul from spiritual bondage. His love and compassion drive Him to bring peace and healing to every aspect of our lives. REFLECTION Reflect on the storms in your life that are causing you fear or distress. Are you seeking Jesus’ presence and trusting in His power to bring peace? Trust in His authority over both the physical and spiritual battles you face. Seek His peace in prayer and rely on His power to bring restoration and healing. ❤️‍🩹 FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Spend 15 minutes in uninterrupted prayer. 🙏🏾 PRAYER And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. MATTHEW 8:26 Peace be still! In the same way that Jesus spoke these words over the waves in the storm, I too speak these words over the storms in my life. When others come to me to bring up the magnitude of the storm I may be facing I will in all boldness remind them of the magnitude of my God. For there is nothing that I can’t conquer because Jesus who lives inside of me has already conquered this world and every trouble in it. No matter the demonic attacks around me I will not be moved when I am standing face to face with satan and his traps! Because of Jesus and His sacrifice I now possess more power than the darkest of enemies. Thank You Jesus! Thank You that I am set free and that I also have the power to point people to You and Your absolute freedom. Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 86:11 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. -Psalms 46:10 DEVOTION Based on Psalm 46 Be still' literally means 'let go, relax.' It's ceasing striving, not mere silence. Stillness is the posture that perceives deity. 'Know' implies experiential awareness, not intellectual assent. In our frantic fixing, we miss God's sovereign moving. He will be exalted—with or without our help. Stillness isn't inactivity but trust-filled waiting. When we stop, we see. When we're still, He's known. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Exalted God, You need no help to accomplish Your purposes. You are God alone, supreme and sovereign. I worship You in stillness. CONFESSION: I confess frantic striving instead of trusting stillness. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for inviting me to be still and know. SUPPLICATION: Help me cease striving and know You more deeply today. PRAYER Teach me your way, Lord. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name. PSALM 86:11 Gracious God, there is no one like You. You have shown favor to the faithful through chaos, calamity, and cultural strife. I am grateful for Your faithfulness and overwhelmed by Your goodness. My heart beats in tandem with the Psalm of David, declaring You are slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Though I am undeserving of Your grace, You pour it out abundantly. Tonight, as the sun sets and the stillness of the night approaches, may all Your good and gracious deeds flood my memory. I pray my heart would rest in a bed of humility, knowing that You have dealt with me graciously. There is no amount of striving or climbing I could ever attempt to climb upon Your holy mountain. You carry me there with kindness. So hold me tonight, Lord Jesus. Carry me to comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾 PRAY FOR YOUR COMMUNITYBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Matthew 13:22 Trust in God’s justice for it is perfect and sure. Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus' parables on the kingdom of heaven. He taught about the coexistence of good and evil, the unparalleled value of God's kingdom, and the final judgment where the righteous will be separated from the wicked. These parables reveal the profound truths of God's kingdom in simple, relatable stories. STORY Bible in a Year: Stories of the Kingdom Scripture Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Matthew 13:44 Have you ever wondered what the kingdom of heaven is like? Jesus used parables to paint vivid pictures of God’s kingdom, revealing its nature through simple yet profound stories. One such parable is about a farmer who sowed good seed in his field, only to have an enemy sow weeds among the wheat. When the plants sprouted, the weeds appeared too. Rather than immediately uproot the weeds, the farmer allowed both to grow together until the harvest, illustrating the coexistence of good and evil until the end times. What does this parable teach us about the presence of evil in the world? It reminds us that while evil exists, it is temporary and will ultimately be dealt with by God at the final judgment. We are called to live righteously, trusting in God’s ultimate justice. How do you respond to the presence of evil around you, knowing God's justice will prevail? Jesus also compared the kingdom of heaven to a treasure hidden in a field and a merchant searching for fine pearls. When the treasure and the pearl were found, they were deemed worth more than everything else the finders possessed. This highlights the incomparable value of God’s kingdom, worth any sacrifice to attain. What sacrifices are you willing to make for the sake of God's kingdom? Finally, Jesus likened the kingdom to a net that gathers all kinds of fish. When the net is full, the good fish are kept, and the bad are thrown away. This parable emphasizes the final judgment, where the righteous and wicked will be separated. How does knowing about the final judgment influence your daily life and decisions? Reflecting on these parables, we see that the kingdom of heaven is a place of great value, mixed with both good and evil until the end, and ultimately a realm where God’s justice prevails. These truths call us to live with a kingdom mindset, valuing God's reign above all else and trusting in His justice. REFLECTION Reflect on the values and priorities of your life. Are you living with a kingdom mindset, valuing God's reign above all else? Trust in God's justice when faced with evil and strive to live righteously, knowing that the final judgment will bring separation of the righteous and the wicked. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Eat slowly, putting your fork down between bites. PRAYER Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. MATTHEW 13:22 Dear God, help me to realize that I have an enemy, Satan. Help me to realize and recognize when he is planting seeds of dissension, division, and chaos in the fields of purpose in my life. As I acknowledge this truth I confess that I need Your word to help illuminate and decipher the weeds that satan has planted and the seeds that You’ve called me to deposit into the soil of my future. Like precious treasure, Your Word will I keep hidden in my heart because it is through these truths that the key to eternal life and an abundant life here on earth is realized. I am committed to protecting Your Kingdom, and nothing on this earth will make me compromise my character to give up the treasure I’ve found in You Jesus. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 84:4 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. -Mark 11:24 DEVOTION Based on Mark 11 Jesus links faith's present tense to reality's future tense. 'Believe that ye receive'—past tense faith for future fulfillment. This isn't mind over matter but spirit over circumstances. Prayer without faith is just words; faith without prayer is just presumption. 'Shall have' is divine guarantee, not human manipulation. The key isn't the size of our faith but the certainty of our God. Mountains move when believers truly believe. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Faithful God, Your promises are yes and amen. You honor faith with fulfillment. I worship You, prayer-answering Lord. CONFESSION: I confess praying with doubt instead of faith. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for inviting bold, believing prayer. SUPPLICATION: Increase my faith to believe as I pray today. PRAYER Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you. PSALM 84:4 Dear Good and Holy God, how lovely is Your dwelling place. My soul longs to rest inside Your presence. My heart yearns to be near the living God. As I lay my head to sleep tonight, give me a sense of what it truly means to be home. As the sparrow finds comfort in its nest, and the swallow finds peace in the trees, give me a sense of safety in You tonight. I want my strength and my satisfaction to be drawn from Your Spirit. There is nowhere else where I can truly feel at home. Blessed are those whose hearts are highways to Zion and those whose hearts will stop at nothing to be close to You. O Lord of hosts, hear my prayer and plea, make my home in Thee. I know You will not withhold goodness from me. As I sleep tonight, I pray for complete comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾 PRAY FOR YOUR COMMUNITY Prayers for physical healing and heart healing. As I seek Him I pray to know His will is good and better than mine. Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Mark 4:32 Cultivate your heart to be good soil for God’s truth. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Choose to be silent instead of correcting someone unnecessarily. Today’s daily devotional is about the parable of the four soils, where Jesus teaches about different responses to God's Word. The soils represent various heart conditions, with the good soil yielding a fruitful crop. This parable challenges us to reflect on our own hearts in response to God's message. STORY Bible in a Year: The Four Soils Scripture But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Matthew 13:23 Have you ever wondered why some people seem to thrive in their faith while others struggle? Jesus’ parable of the four soils provides profound insights into this question. As Jesus taught by the shores of Galilee, He described a farmer sowing seeds on different types of soil, each representing the various conditions of human hearts. What does each type of soil represent in our response to God's Word? The path represents a hardened heart where the word is quickly snatched away. The rocky ground signifies those who receive the word with joy but fall away when trouble comes because they have no root. The soil among thorns illustrates those who hear the word but are choked by life's worries, riches, and pleasures. Finally, the good soil represents those who hear, accept, and produce a fruitful crop. How can you ensure that your heart is like the good soil? Cultivating a heart like the good soil involves being open, receptive, and committed to applying God’s Word in our lives. It means removing the "thorns" that choke our faith, such as distractions and worldly concerns, and allowing our roots to grow deep through prayer, study, and obedience. What steps can you take to deepen your spiritual roots and cultivate a fruitful heart? Reflecting on the parable, we are challenged to examine the condition of our hearts. Are there areas where we are resistant to God’s Word? Are there distractions that prevent us from growing spiritually? By addressing these issues, we can become more like the good soil, ready to receive and act on God’s Word, producing a bountiful harvest in our lives. REFLECTION Reflect on the current state of your heart. Are there areas where you need to be more receptive to God's Word? This week, focus on cultivating a heart that is like the good soil. Remove distractions and worries that choke your spiritual growth, and invest time in prayer, study, and application of the Scriptures. PRAYER But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it. MARK 4:32 Those who have ears to hear… hear. These words are the staples in which I am listening to today's reading. Lord I thank You that You’ve given me the Bible to help lead and guide me in the way that I should live my life. Jesus, thank You for being the personification of the living Word here on earth. As I meditate on today's truth found in Matthew 13 and Mark 4:1-32, I realize that Your word is the seed in which all of my purpose and destiny will blossom and come forth through. Therefore my heart will not be like the soil that allowed Your seed to lay unprotected so that other people around me can steal what You’ve deposited in me. My heart will not be like the shallow soil that could not allow the root of Your word to take hold so when the trials of life come it withers under the heat of pressure. I also declare that I will not let Your word fall on the thorns of life and become so focused on my trials that they choke Your promises out of my thoughts and speech. I declare that my heart and my life is good soil. I declare that I’m healthy and ready to have Your word produce a crop of abundance 30, 60 and 100 fold. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 82:3 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. -Psalms 37:4 DEVOTION Based on Psalm 37 Delight changes desires. When God becomes our joy, our wants align with His will. 'Delight thyself' is active, chosen enjoyment—finding pleasure in God's presence, character, and ways. The promise isn't blank-check wish fulfillment but heart transformation. As we delight in Him, He shapes our desires to match His own. Then giving us our desires is giving us Himself. The delighted heart wants what God wants to give. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Delightful God, You are the source of true joy and satisfaction. Knowing You is life's greatest pleasure. I worship You, Heart's Desire. CONFESSION: I confess delighting in lesser things than You. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for being utterly delightful and desire-worthy. SUPPLICATION: Teach me to delight in You so fully that my desires reflect Yours. PRAYER Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. PSALM 82:3 Dear Lord, as I lay down to rest, I come before You with a humble heart. I think of the times I've faltered, failing to stand against injustice due to fear. Forgive me, Father, for my shortcomings, and help me to stand for Your justice in our world. I take a deep breath and allow Your mercy to wash over me, surrendering my sins and shame to You, knowing You are patient and love me unconditionally. I pray for those who need Your justice in unfair situations - please intervene and comfort them with Your peace tonight. I cry out to You, O Lord, lifting my requests to You, waiting expectantly for Your work in my life and our world. May You lighten my heart and give me rest tonight, knowing the world is in Your hands. Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Luke 7:9 Faith knows no distance it trusts in the unseen power of Jesus. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Avoid a place or situation where you know temptation will be present. Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus healing the centurion’s servant. The centurion demonstrated remarkable faith, believing that Jesus could heal his servant with just a word. Jesus honored this faith, and the servant was healed. This story shows the power of faith and Jesus’ authority over sickness. STORY Bible in a Year: The Roman Soldier Scripture When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. Luke 7:9 Have you ever placed your faith in someone’s ability to help from a distance? The Roman centurion did just that when he sought Jesus to heal his ailing servant. Understanding authority, the centurion believed that Jesus' command alone could bring healing, even without His physical presence. This profound faith in Jesus' power and authority over sickness amazed Jesus and resulted in the servant's miraculous recovery. What does the centurion’s faith teach us about recognizing Jesus' authority? The centurion’s recognition of Jesus' divine authority led him to trust completely in Jesus' word. This faith, not dependent on physical proximity, highlights the power of believing in Jesus' capability to intervene in our lives, regardless of distance or circumstance. How can we apply the centurion’s example of faith in our daily lives? Jesus honored the centurion's faith, demonstrating that genuine faith in His authority can lead to miraculous outcomes. When we trust in Jesus' power and sovereignty, we open the door for Him to work mightily in our lives. What situations in your life need a declaration of faith in Jesus’ authority? The centurion's story reminds us that faith is not about physical evidence but about trusting in Jesus' word and His power to transform situations. We can approach Jesus with confidence, knowing that He hears our prayers and can bring healing and restoration with just a word. How can you cultivate a faith that trusts in Jesus’ authority over every aspect of your life? Reflecting on this story, we are encouraged to deepen our faith and trust in Jesus. By acknowledging His supreme authority and seeking His intervention, we align ourselves with His power to bring change and healing. REFLECTION Reflect on the areas in your life where you need to exercise greater faith in Jesus’ authority. Are there circumstances where you are seeking physical evidence instead of trusting His word? This week, practice declaring your faith in Jesus over your situations, believing in His power to bring change and healing from a distance. PRAYER When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. LUKE 7:9 I stand with full belief Lord, as I look to You, to restore health to every place in my being. I choose to stand on the truth of Your Word and declare that healing is mine for the taking because of the sacrifice and blood of Jesus. In the same way the centurion soldier believed in Your spoken Word Jesus, I know that through Your Holy Bible Your Word is being spoken to me all the time, and with the same faith I know that whatever You command as done is done! Thank You Lord for bringing dead things back to life like the bones in Ezekiel. Thank You that even though my dreams seem to be dead in a coffin, You can resurrect them back to life! So in the name of Jesus I command healing to flood my life! In the name of Jesus, I command dead dreams and visions to breathe new life and to arise! Through the activation of my great faith I will do great things on Your behalf Lord! Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 80:3 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: -1 Peter 5:6 DEVOTION Based on 1 Peter 5 Humility isn't thinking less of yourself but thinking of yourself less. 'Under the mighty hand' acknowledges God's sovereign control. That hand disciplines, directs, and ultimately delivers. 'Due time' is God's time, never early, never late. Exaltation from God lasts; self-exaltation crumbles. The path down leads up in God's economy. Those who bow lowest rise highest when God does the lifting. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Mighty God, Your hand controls all things wisely and well. You exalt the humble in perfect timing. I worship You, sovereign Lord. CONFESSION: I confess pride that resists Your mighty hand. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for promising to exalt in due time. SUPPLICATION: Grant me true humility under Your hand today. PRAYER Turn us again, God. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved. PSALM 80:3 Dear Lord, tonight I ask for restoration. Many events in the day seek to slowly strip away my joy. As the day draws to a close, I want to rejoice in the victories and ask for healing from the tragedies. Restore me, oh God, and shine on me in the night. Let me see Your face before I lay my head down to sleep. I want to see Your splendor and glory and be renewed for whatever tomorrow brings. Restore any parts of my soul that have wandered from You as I tuck myself into the night's peaceful refuge. Bring me to a place of peace, and forgive me for my sins. Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 79:9 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. -Jeremiah 33:3 DEVOTION Based on Jeremiah 33 God issues a blank-check invitation: call and receive answers plus surprises. 'Call' implies relationship, need, and faith combined. The promise exceeds the request—not just answers but revelations. 'Great and mighty things' are literally 'inaccessible things'—truths and wonders beyond human reach. 'Thou knowest not' reminds us that God's resources exceed our imagination. Prayer isn't just communication; it's the key to divine mysteries. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Answering God, You invite my calls and exceed my expectations. You reveal wonders beyond my imagination. I worship You, divine Revealer. CONFESSION: I confess prayerlessness that misses Your mighty revelations. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for the privilege of calling on You. SUPPLICATION: Show me great and mighty things as I call on You today. PRAYER Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name’s sake. PSALM 79:9 Dear Lord, tonight I rest in the truth of salvation. Yes, even in my wretchedness, You have displayed Your faithfulness. No voice of shame or degradation could ever destroy my confidence in Your salvation. Release my weary bones and tired mind from jealousy, bitterness, and pride. Tuck me into Your grace and rock me slowly in Your embrace. Help me tonight when thoughts of doubt creep in to steal my peace. Help others who are reeling from the same anxiety. Steady me. Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 78:23 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. -Psalms 147:3 DEVOTION Based on Psalm 147 The Great Physician specializes in cardiac care—not physical hearts but shattered souls. 'Broken in heart' describes grief's devastation, betrayal's pierce, loss's ache. God doesn't just observe brokenness; He heals. 'Bindeth up' is tender, personal attention—the careful wrapping of deep wounds. The same hands that flung stars into space gently tend to broken hearts. No wound is too deep, no heart too shattered for His healing touch. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Gentle Healer, You see every broken piece and wounded place. Your hands bring healing no medicine can match. I worship You, Mender of hearts. CONFESSION: I confess hiding my brokenness instead of bringing it to You. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for Your tender care for broken hearts. SUPPLICATION: Bind up the wounds I carry and those around me today. PRAYER He commanded the skies above, and opened the doors of heaven. PSALM 78:23 Mighty God, You have always been and always will be faithful to Your people. To those whom You have chosen, grace and mercy will follow them. Providential provision and powerful protection will always be given to those You have called Your own. I want to rest in that certainty tonight, Lord. I want to relax knowing that You will never leave or forsake me. Just as You were faithful to the wandering nation of Israel in the wilderness, You will be loyal to me. Just as You provided for the disobedient children of Jacob, You will be kind to me even when I sin against You. As I seek to sleep, give me the certainty that Your grace never runs dry, nor do You withhold peace from those who honestly seek Your presence. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏾 PRAY FOR YOUR COMMUNITYBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 77:19 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. -Nahum 1:7 DEVOTION Based on Nahum 1 Three truths to anchor any storm: God's character ('good'), God's capability ('stronghold'), God's care ('knoweth them'). Goodness isn't occasional but essential to His nature. A stronghold isn't just protection but a fortress—ancient, unmovable, impenetrable. 'Knoweth' is intimate awareness, not casual acquaintance. In trouble's day, when everything else proves unreliable, God remains good, strong, and aware. He's not just a refuge; He's their refuge. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Good God, You are my fortress when life attacks. You know me personally and protect me powerfully. I worship You, my trustworthy Stronghold. CONFESSION: I confess running to lesser refuges in my troubles. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for being unshakably good and strong. SUPPLICATION: Be my stronghold today in whatever troubles arise. PRAYER Your way was through the sea; your paths through the great waters. Your footsteps were not known. PSALM 77:19 Dear Lord, Your perfect and powerful character is impossible to forget. The evidence of Your goodness surrounds me. I will remember Your faithfulness tonight and meditate on Your goodness before I sleep. As I seek a tranquil reprieve from the day’s toll, I will settle my soul on Your saving grace. Guide me peacefully to sleep tonight as I meditate on Your attributes. Your ways are holy. You are a God of wonders. You have redeemed Your people. Nature bows to You. Nations cannot escape You. You lead me and all who respond to Your voice in paths of righteousness. Lead me gently there tonight, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen. 🙏🏾 PRAY FOR YOUR COMMUNITYBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 76:13 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. -Isaiah 40:31 DEVOTION Based on Isaiah 40 Waiting isn't passive but active dependence. 'Wait upon' means to serve, like a waiter attentive to every need. The promise is renewable strength—not a one-time boost but continual renewal. Eagles don't flap frantically; they catch thermal currents and soar. So believers catch the Spirit's wind. The progression is telling: soar extraordinarily, run consistently, walk faithfully. God provides strength for spectacular moments and mundane miles. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Strength-renewing God, You lift the weary and empower the weak. You turn waiters into soaring eagles. I worship You, divine Energizer. CONFESSION: I confess impatience and trying to manufacture my own strength. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for strength that renews with waiting. SUPPLICATION: Teach me to wait on You today, catching Your wind for soaring. PRAYER You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God! PSALM 76:13 "Dear Lord, You are the great warrior who fights for us and protects us against our enemies. Like a mighty army, You guard over me and all I hold dear. I pray that You will cover me with Your shield of protection as I sleep, keeping me safe from all harm and danger. Lord, I pray that I will always have a healthy fear of You. May I never forget that You are the holy and righteous God who created the heavens and the earth. May I always remember that You alone are worthy of my worship and devotion. So as I close my eyes tonight, I surrender myself to Your loving hands. Protect me, guide me, and fill me with Your peace. Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Luke 5:10 Jesus sees our potential even when we only see our failures. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Say “no” to one thing that distracts you from your priorities. Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus calling Peter to be a "fisher of men." After a miraculous catch of fish, Peter is amazed by Jesus' power. This story illustrates the beginnings of Peter’s faith journey and Jesus’ call to follow Him, embodying obedience and trust in God’s provision. STORY Bible in a Year: Fisher of Men Scripture When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. Luke 5:8 Have you ever felt like giving up when your efforts seem futile? Peter and Andrew certainly did after a night of unsuccessful fishing. Imagine their surprise when Jesus used their boat to teach and then instructed them to try again, leading to a miraculous catch. How often do we question, like Peter, before we obey God’s call? Peter’s initial reluctance turned into awe as he witnessed the power of Jesus. This miracle was more than a lesson in fishing; it was an invitation to a new life. Jesus wasn’t just interested in fish; He was calling Peter to something greater – to be a fisher of men. What does this call mean for you? Have you considered that God might be calling you to a higher purpose? Later, when Jesus healed the leper, He showed that His compassion knows no bounds. By touching the untouchable, Jesus demonstrated that no one is beyond God's reach. How do we respond to those who are marginalized or in need? Are we willing to break conventions to show Christ’s love? These stories challenge us to trust Jesus in every circumstance, even when it defies logic. Peter’s journey from a simple fisherman to a follower of Christ began with a step of faith and obedience. Are you ready to take that step? Reflect on your own life and consider where Jesus might be calling you to trust Him more deeply. REFLECTION Reflect on your life and consider where God is calling you to step out in faith. Are there areas where you’ve been reluctant to trust Him fully? Take time to pray and ask for the courage to obey, even when it seems difficult. Like Peter, recognize that following Jesus means leaving behind your doubts and embracing a new purpose. PRAYER And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. LUKE 5:10 Dear Jesus, in the same way that You provided for Peter in his boat and provided a large catch of fish, I also thank You that instead of fish You'll allow me to draw all men and women to You and to Your purpose for their lives. Increase my influence, enlarge my reach, and give me the ability to be a magnet for all who I come in contact with. As You increase the influence I have with others I also thank You that You will give me the ability to supernaturally heal the areas in their life that is robbing them from experiencing community, purpose, and fulfillment. Like the leper in today's reading I pray that they will spread the word of how good You are and that You are always willing to heal and uplift those in need. Today I acknowledge that I am… a fisher of men. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾 Breaking News Charlie Kirk 911 Race In AmericaBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Luke 4:21 Every rejection opens a door to God’s redirection. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Speak only encouraging words for the whole day. Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus’ growing ministry, where He healed the sick, cast out demons, and taught with authority. Despite His miracles, Jesus faced rejection in His hometown of Nazareth, showing that faith and familiarity can often clash. STORY Bible in a Year: Possession and Rejection Scripture And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. Luke 4:24 Have you ever felt the pain of being rejected by those who should support you the most? As Jesus’ ministry began to flourish, He experienced the highs of miraculous healings and the lows of profound rejection. In Cana and Galilee, Jesus demonstrated His divine authority through acts of compassion and power. When an official from Capernaum pleaded for his son’s life, Jesus simply spoke the word, and the boy was healed. This act of compassion highlights Jesus’ willingness to respond to sincere faith, even from those outside His immediate circle. What does Jesus’ healing of the official’s son teach us about faith? The official’s faith, though initially desperate, grew stronger as he trusted Jesus’ word without immediate evidence. This kind of faith is essential for us as we navigate our own challenges, trusting in God’s promises even when we cannot see immediate results. How can we maintain faith in the face of unseen outcomes? Later, Jesus demonstrated His authority over evil by casting out a demon in the synagogue of Capernaum. His mere words set the possessed man free, leaving the onlookers in awe. This event underscores Jesus’ power over the spiritual realm and His mission to liberate those bound by darkness. What does Jesus’ authority over demons reveal about His mission? Despite these powerful demonstrations, Jesus faced stark rejection in His hometown of Nazareth. The people who watched Him grow up could not reconcile the boy they knew with the man performing miracles. Their lack of faith led to missed blessings and miracles that could have transformed their lives. How do we sometimes allow familiarity to cloud our faith? Jesus’ rejection in Nazareth serves as a reminder that recognizing and honoring God’s work often requires us to look beyond our preconceived notions and biases. It challenges us to keep our hearts open to God’s movements, even when they come from unexpected sources. REFLECTION Reflect on areas in your life where you may have let familiarity breed contempt. Are there moments where you have failed to recognize God’s work because it came from an unexpected place or person? This week, challenge yourself to approach situations and people with an open heart, willing to see God’s hand at work. Embrace the faith of the official who trusted Jesus’ word and the power of His spoken authority over darkness. PRAYER And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. LUKE 4:21 Dear Lord, thank You that as You build my life, I will not be driven by reputation but will be driven by purpose. I thank You that as my life begins to take form, and the ministry that You called me to live takes shape, I praise You that I will be able to preach with authority, I'll be able to heal the broken hearted with compassion, and I'll be able to cast out evil mindsets and spirits with power and authority. If You did it Jesus, I know that I can do it, because the same power that flowed through You is flowing through me. I will only do what I see You doing, I will only speak what You tell me to speak. I declare that Your Spirit is upon me, I declare that Your authority is on me therefore I will stand in the power of Your Holy Spirit and remember who You’ve called me to be even when others don’t believe it. I know who I am in the Lord and nothing will ever change that. I am called and I am chosen! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/jarvis-kingston--1517583/support.
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 John 4:14 God’s grace is available to all regardless of their past. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL Decline one unnecessary purchase today. Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus revealing Himself as the Messiah to the Samaritan woman at the well. She recognized Him through their conversation and joyfully spread the news, leading many Samaritans to believe in Jesus and experience His transformative power. STORY Bible in a Year: The Woman at the Well Scripture Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:13-14 Have you ever felt an unexpected encounter change the course of your life? Jesus’ meeting with the Samaritan woman at the well was one such transformative moment. As Jesus rested at the well, He asked the woman for a drink, breaking cultural norms and engaging her in a profound conversation. Jesus offered her "living water," symbolizing eternal life, and revealed intimate details about her life, showing her that He was the long-awaited Messiah. What can we learn from Jesus' approach to the Samaritan woman? Jesus’ willingness to engage with the woman, despite societal boundaries, teaches us about the inclusive and compassionate nature of His ministry. He looked beyond her past and offered her hope and redemption. How does Jesus’ offer of "living water" resonate with you? The concept of living water represents the spiritual sustenance and eternal life that Jesus offers to all who believe in Him. It signifies a deep, personal relationship with God that quenches our spiritual thirst and renews our souls. What impact did the woman's testimony have on her community? Inspired by her encounter, the woman ran to tell her neighbors about Jesus. Her testimony was powerful and effective, leading many Samaritans to come to Jesus and believe in Him. This story highlights the importance of sharing our experiences of God’s grace and truth with others. How can you share your experiences of faith with those around you? Reflect on moments where you have felt God’s presence and guidance in your life. Like the Samaritan woman, your testimony can inspire and lead others to seek and experience Jesus’ transformative power. REFLECTION Reflect on your encounters with God and the ways they have transformed your life. Are there aspects of your faith journey that you can share to inspire others? This week, take a step to share your testimony with someone who might need encouragement. Pray for the courage to cross societal boundaries and engage with others in meaningful conversations about faith. Trust that your story, like the Samaritan woman's, can lead others to experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ. PRAYER But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. JOHN 4:14 Jesus, I thank You that You continually show me the life that I'm supposed to live. I thank You that as I read Your word You are continuously showing me that You love all people no matter where they come from, what they look like, or what reputation they have. I pray that You give me the same heart that is inside of You. Use me as a vessel to deliver the good news like a cool drink of water to a dry and thirsty soul. I will not shy away from an opportunity to introduce someone to Your eternal and perfect love. Bring me to the wells in life so that I can be surrounded by Your sons and daughters who need Your hope! Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 72:2 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. -Psalms 55:22 DEVOTION Based on Psalm 55 Cast' implies forceful action—hurling burdens away from yourself onto God. This isn't gentle laying down but desperate throwing. David knew that burdens retained are burdens that crush. The promise is twofold: He sustains the person and secures their position. 'Never suffer to be moved' means your circumstances may shake, but your foundation won't shift. God catches what we cast and holds whom He catches. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: Burden-bearer God, You invite the crushing weight I carry. You sustain when I cannot stand. I worship You, my unmovable foundation. CONFESSION: I confess holding onto burdens You've asked me to cast. THANKSGIVING: Thank You for Your strength that sustains and secures. SUPPLICATION: Help me throw every burden on You today, trusting Your sustaining power. PRAYER He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. PSALM 72:2 Dear Lord, as I lay in my bed, I feel the weight of the day lift from my weary bones. My mind and body yearn for peace and rest. As I close my eyes, I offer up a prayer to the heavens above. I release all my worries and anxieties and lay them at Your feet. I give thanks for the blessings You have bestowed upon me today. As I enter the realm of sleep, let Your loving hands guide me into the land of dreams. May Your grace shine upon me like the stars in the sky, bringing peace and serenity to my heart. Blessed be Your glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with Your glory! Watch over my loved ones near and far, and let them feel Your love and care wherever they are. Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 John 2:15 Eternal life is a gift, freely given to those who believe. Today’s daily devotional is about Jesus cleansing the temple and His conversation with Nicodemus. Jesus drove out corrupt money-changers, restoring the temple’s sanctity. Later, He revealed to Nicodemus the profound truths of being born again and receiving eternal life, highlighting God’s love and salvation. STORY Bible in a Year: Flipping Tables and Eternal Life Scripture For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Have you ever felt a righteous anger against injustice? Jesus experienced this when He entered the temple during Passover and saw the sacred space turned into a marketplace. The temple, meant to be a place of worship and prayer, was corrupted by money-changers exploiting the people. Jesus' reaction was swift and decisive—He fashioned a whip and drove them out, restoring the temple’s sanctity and purpose. What does Jesus' cleansing of the temple teach us about standing up against wrongdoing? Jesus’ actions demonstrate the importance of preserving the sanctity of worship and standing up against corruption and exploitation. His righteous anger was rooted in a desire to honor God and protect the integrity of the temple. How do we respond to the injustices we encounter in our lives? Jesus' example encourages us to address wrongdoing with courage and conviction. Later that evening, Nicodemus, a Pharisee, sought out Jesus to understand more about His mission. Jesus’ conversation with Nicodemus reveals the core of His message: being born again through faith and receiving eternal life. How does Jesus' teaching about being born again resonate with you? Jesus explained to Nicodemus that spiritual rebirth is essential for entering the Kingdom of God. This rebirth is not of the flesh, but of the Spirit, signifying a transformative relationship with God through faith. He emphasized that God’s love is so profound that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. What steps can you take to deepen your faith and embrace the gift of eternal life? Reflect on your own spiritual journey and consider areas where you can grow in your relationship with God. Seek to understand and apply Jesus' teachings in your daily life, embracing the transformative power of being born again through the Holy Spirit. REFLECTION Reflect on the injustices around you and consider how you can stand up for what is right, following Jesus’ example. Are there areas in your life where you need to restore sanctity and purpose? This week, commit to addressing these areas with courage and conviction. Additionally, ponder the concept of being born again and what it means for your spiritual life. Embrace God’s love and the gift of salvation, seeking a deeper relationship with Him through prayer, study, and reflection. FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT ACTION: SELF-CONTROL If you’re full, turn down second helpings at your next meal. We all have a God-given gift that sets us apart and allows us to lead with purpose. PRAYER And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; JOHN 2:15 I confess today, that zeal for Your house has consumed me! Move in my life so that I can stand for what is righteous, help me so that I can stand for what is godly. Move in my life and allow me to understand heavenly matters. As I look to You, Jesus, help me to understand that God loved me so much that He sent You as a bridge to connect me back into His loving arms. I praise You Lord that as I believe in Jesus Christ I will have access to eternal life. I thank You that You did not send Jesus to condemn me but to rescue me from my sins and from myself. The secret? 'Through Christ'—not around Him, not near Him, but through Him. This isn't prosperity gospel promising earthly success, but spiritual triumph in any circumstance. 'All things' means exactly what God calls you to, nothing more, nothing less. Strength isn't mustered; it's received. Christ doesn't just help; He empowers. A.C.T.S.
