Having a family member incarcerated is an emotional toll on the entire family. Today on "Beyond Surviving with Tammie" guest Dominic Carter shared his struggle with past addiction with alcohol, sex and rap music. Dominic's father left to pursue a music career when Dominic was nine years old however he never returned home. As a coping mechanism to his pain from his father's departure Dominic turned to alcohol and pornography. He idolized rappers and tried to mimic the rap lifestyle.
