The time has finally come to officially end this. In hindsight: this was the only place this could go. On my 37th birthday I sat down with the woman I've wanted to record with since I started this project almost 7 years ago and we wrap it up with a long, downright silly version of "This Is Your Life In A Playlist with The One And Only Esther". If you listened from the beginning, if you contributed to the playlist, if you contributed to my partreon, if you don't know how you got here, if you're just listening to this episode out of curiosity if I mentioned you: Thanks for being part of this. It's been...
Lou Barett is back and we're reviewing a classic book on how to be the most masculine motherfucker in the room: The Way Of The Superior Man by David Daeda.
Igor is back! We're finally caugt up after this! How long will that last? Only time will tell.
If you came here from Instagram: LOL. If you're an old time listener: I think we're up to date after this.
It's dating app episode. This is probably better advice for women than men. Apparently all I need to do is smile more and cynical personality won't be as detrimental.
We're catching up. This episode is almost as old as long as Rachel has lived in Japan. We talk Will Smith's Slap, life as an expat in Japan, and what the pandemic took from us.
I'm back with a whole bunch of episodes I've been sitting on for too long for them to be relevant. Even this episode was recorded in a time when women had a percieved consitutional right to murder any living thing in their body.
She's out! Again! Is this okay? Has she betrayed her race? She may not be making waves in the NCAA but she's definitely growing as a person and I'm here to listen and learn.
Rob Morris is back in LA and can't say he experiences the same type of despair I did right before I left.
Alex is back and he really wants me to meditate.
Scarlet is one of the hardest working people I ever met in Los Angeles and her body of work after a decade definitely shows it. We've only known eachother for half of that but as someone who came to the city of angels and broken dreams around the same time she did I thought it would be fun to talk about how much we've changed over the last ten years.
Lou is back to ring in the New Year. We we're suppose to talk about polyamory but got stuck for way longer on raising kids and the way parent's fail us. Also, just after exporting this I remembered I may have mentioned Bob Saget... This was recorded before his death... if that matters.
SEASON 6!!! If you think it's hard to get here it's not. People give dedicated people a lot of credit but it's just as often fueled by lunacy as it is gusto and conviction. But here we are. If I could go back in time and talk to myself at the beginning I'd say "lower your expectations, maybe make it a more focused project" but I wouldn't have listened then either.
It's the last episode of the year! It's the year end wrap up! I've done five of these and the only thing I've really accomplished is the one thing we ever accomplish after a run around the sun: perspective.
Oh my god an episode that's on schedule and a guest who is non-binary!? Things are definitely changing. Lou Barrett is a self proclaimed queer writer and publisher and an appreciator of a good argument. We don't get into a lot of them here but I feel like this episode will be a good primer to many conversations we'll have in the future.
We're back. We're back for good now. I promise. This is not a false alarm. I got distracted but I'm grounded now and I'm ready to commit. This episode is from weeks ago but I promise it's still ripe and I've got fresh fruit coming around the bend. Don't leave me! I need you! I need this!
I've been gone for a while but I'm still doing this even though there's already enough people doing it as well.
This is not financial advice. Fuck this is barely content...
It's a guest! And it's long! A long episode of stuff you've probably already talked about with your friends!
Unlucky at NFTs unlucky at picking counties that like Desantis.
