The Dardeen Family was murdered in Ina, Illinois in 1987. The father was found in a forest next the home while the rest of the family was found dead inside the home. To this day a killer has not been charged in this case although there has been a confession.
In August of 1990 Danny Rolling murdered 5 college students in Gainesville, Florida. Because of his unique positioning of the victims bodies he was also linked to 3 murders in Louisiana from the previous year.
Charles Albright was a serial killer in the 1990s that killed at least 3 victims. He got his name “the eyeball killer” because each one of his victims were found with their eyeballs missing.
After getting into an argument with his girlfriend on the night of August 8, 2013, 26 year old, Brandon Lawson left his home and headed to his father’s home. After his truck ran out of gas in the middle of the night, on Route 277 in Texas, he called to his brother and police but he was never seen or heard from again.
February 4, 2010 was the last day anyone had contact with the four members of the McStay family. When they were reported missing there were almost no leads until the family was found buried in shallow graves 3 years later with an arrest to follow one year later.
In November 1998, Wayne Adam Ford walked into a police station in California to tell the officers he was serial killer. He killed at least 4 women throughout his time as a truck driver in 1997 and 1998 and without his confession he may have never been caught for his crimes since being a truck driver made him hard to track down.
On June 12, 1962 Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers, John and Clarence, escaped from Alcatraz island. The island was one of the most secure prisons and many people assumed no prisoners would ever be able to make it out alive. The question still remains did these men actually survive their escape or did they die at sea? In this episode I also share some small town rumors that I’ve heard about this case, since I live in the area where the Anglin family did.
On Easter of 1992 Dale, Glee, and Tiffany Ewell were shot and killed in their Fresno California home. The son, Dana Ewell, came under suspicion after acting strange following the death of his family. After lots of investigation it was found that Dana and his college friend, Joel Radovcich, planned the murder in order to gain access to the Ewell’s millions.
In September and October of 1982, 7 people in the Chicago area were killed by taking Tylenol capsules that we poisoned with cyanide. To this day no one knows who added cyanide to these pills or what their motives were for doing this.
The Menendez family seemed to be perfect from the outside looking in. But on August 20, 1989 when brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez shot and killed both their parents in their Beverly Hills Mansion this made everyone question what really went on behind closed doors and what actually happened to lead up to the death of Jose and Kitty Menendez.
On June 7, 1992 Sherrill Levitt, her daughter Suzie Streeter, and her friend Stacy McCall went missing from the Levitt home. The three women have been missing for almost 30 years and despite thousands on tips and even one confession no bodies have been found and this case still remains unsolved.
Ira Einhorn was known as the Unicorn Killer because his last name translates to Unicorn in German and in 1977 Ira killed his ex-girlfriend Holly Maddox. Ira got away with his crime for more than 20 years because he was able to escape to France after his first arrest.
Deborah Deann Poe was a 26 year-old working the night shift as a Circle-K clerk in 1990. On February 6 she went missing during her shift leaving her car behind and the store unlocked and unattended. To this day she has never been found and this case is still unsolved.
Dorothy Jane Scott was a single mom to her 4 year old son in 1980. She was working as a secretary and on May 28, 1980 one of her co-workers had a spider bite, after taking this co-worker to the hospital she was never seen alive again.
In July of 1995 an unknown woman’s torso was found in a suitcase in Pennsylvania. About 6 months later her legs were found about 50 miles away. To this day her identity, her killer, and her case of death is still unknown.
Elisa Lam was a 21 year old college student traveling to California from your home in Canada. She ended up going missing on February 1, 2013 and she was found dead in the water tank of the Cecil Hotel on February 19, 2013. Did she accidentally drown, did she climb into the water by herself? I’m breaking down the evidence and my thoughts in this episode.
On October 22, 1966 the oldest Sims daughter returned home to find your mother, father, and little sister with gunshots and stab wounds. 56 years later and this case still has no resolution as to who killed this seemingly perfect family.
On December 12, 2019 Magen Fieramusca kidnapped her best friend, Heidi Broussard, and her 3 week old baby. Magen killed her best friend and tried to keep the newborn baby and raise her as your own daughter.
Steven Kubacki was a college student who disappeared in February 1978 from an area known as the Lake Michigan Triangle. 15 months later he “woke up” 700 miles away and remembered nothing.
Tristyn Bailey was a 13 year-old girl who was found dead on Mother’s Day. Her accused killer is 14 year-old classmate Aidan Fucci who is charged with first degree murder for allegedly stabbing her 114 times.
