This feeds into many different topics including: dealing with closure, healing from lost friendships, family loss, etc. Challenges come across everyone's path every single day and people deal with it differently so we don't expect everyone to be ready to talk about it. In this episode of WLP Presents: Virtual Homegirl, we celebrate Pride Month by discussing valuable data gathered from surveys conducted by WLP youth students concerning LGBTQ+ climate on school campuses in South LA. Furthermore, virtual homegirls define Pride Month for listeners and key terms such as “Rainbow washing”. We also discuss ways we practice being an ally and share tips on how to become a better ally to the LGBTQ+ community & to close off we share with you a couple of our favorite queer artists.
