Rome Resources is acquiring extensive new acreage in New Brunswick in an area known to be prospective, but which has had very little work done on it in the modern era. Some historic samples show tin grading up to around 1.4%. The geology looks encouraging, according to Rome's chief executive Paul Barrett. He emphasizes that Rome's main focus will remain on its assets in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where drilling is ongoing and a new resource is expected in the coming months. Nevertheless, this new ground points to a longer-term trajectory for the company, and indicates where its focus might end up if a transaction takes place on the DRC assets
Watch on YoutubeMark Thompson is an experienced mining investor and commodities trader who formerly worked with Trafigura and is now heading up VSA Capital as non-executive chairman and Tamar Minerals as chief executive. He also recently took a 20% stake in VSA, as he explains in this wide-ranging conversation, because he is bullish that the London mining scene is poised to make a comeback. Part of that call also involves the recent listing of Tamar Minerals in London, a company which has legacy assets in Australia, but which will now focus on assets in Cornwall and Devon. Mark tells us why the opportunity at the Wheal Vor project is so compelling, and discusses just how much tin there might still be left in Cornwall. Is a bull market underway? - yes, but not all commodities are equal. Mark ends the chat talking up tungsten.
Watch on YouTubeGreat Western Mining #GWMO has just appointed Ed Loye as chief executive. A recent raise of more than £3 million has given him an ample warchest with which to get down to work on the company's suite of exploration assets in Nevada. Top of the agenda is to work up the tungsten opportunity at Defender, itself part of a large skarn which links to the company's existing copper resource at M2, a couple of kilometres away. Drilling is planned in the summer, and there will likely be plenty of newsflow in the run up to that work
Watch on YouTubeThe Bureau of Indian Affairs has granted Quantum Helium #QHE its assignment for the Sagebrush property, a crucial precondition for operating on the ground. A similar assignment was granted for the nearby Coyote Wash project a little while ago. The granting of the assignment means Quantum can now get serious about its testing plans on its Colorado helium ground, and really get down to work. Quantum Helium's chief executive Howard McLaughlin joins us to tell us what happens next.
Watch on YouTube Blencowe has announced the addition of a JORC resource for the Iyan deposit at its Orom-Cross graphite project in Uganda. The total resource at the project now stands at 43 million tonnes of ore, with only 2% of the surface area of the licence drilled. The company will also be releasing further drill results from the Beehive deposits in due course, and these will lead on to a further resource upgrade. Will Orom-Cross go through the magic 50 million tonnes mark? It's a number that chief executive Mike Ralston floats without hesitation as he sits down to walk us through the implications of the latest results, and to tell us what happens next.
Watch on YouTubeFor more information you can contact Chancery Royalty HEREChancery Royalty's chief executive Jeremy Gray joins Vox as the company undertakes a new funding round in one of the hottest gold markets the world has ever seen. Chancery already has four major precious metals royalties in its portfolio, and recently acquired a fifth smaller one on an exploration company with huge upside. New transactions are also on the cards, and a potential listing, probably in Canada, but maybe in London is also on the cards. Will Chancery become bigger than Elemental-Altus? - that's certainly the aim, and the company is not shy about saying it

Panther Metals has initiated testwork on core drilled out of its Dotted Lake project in Canada in 2024. This core returned huge intercepts of magnesium mineralisation, with some additional nickel and platinum group metals. Magnesium is traditionally very difficult to process out of ores like the the ones at Dotted Lake, but Panther's partners at another of its projects, Winston, reckon this one could be workable. If they're right, then the upside would be very significant. Panther's Darren Hazelwood joins Vox to tell us more.
