Full-disclosure, I have been a client of Joe for men’s life coaching services. But, I’m not getting paid to chat with him here, he’s just a good dude and I want to share his story with my megaphone, hence the interview. Joe is a Transformational Relationship Artist or in another perspective, a Men’s Life Coach. We dive into the crises that kickstarted Joe into an epic journey of self-healing and growth, which lead to him wanting to be of service and share with others, talk about the difference between being wise versus educated, microdosing, and what men’s work is and why the world needs it. WE NOW HAVE MERCH!!! stegdrew.com/merch Get decked out with our 3 newest t-shirt styles.Show notes at stegdrew.com/episode24Connect with Drew:INSTAGRAM - @stegdrew / instagram.com/stegdrewTWITTER - @stegdrew / twitter.com/stegdrewTIKTOK - @stegdrew / tiktok.com/@stegdrewSign up for Drew's weekly letter at https://stegdrew.com/juicyIf you like this episode, please share with your friends, family and others!

James is a nature enthusiast, author and Certified NVC Trainer. He’s been involved in personal growth programs since the mid-1980’s, participated in many workshops, retreats and 12-step recovery. He began his journey into nature based spirituality in the late 1990’s. After publishing his book “The Joy of Compassionate Connecting – The Way of Christ Through Nonviolent Communication” in 2010, he participated in a Franciscan-inspired men’s rites of passage in 2011. He continued his growth journey through Mankind Project New-Warrior training and integration groups. He’s currently an Animas Valley apprentice in the Wild Mind Training Program (WMTP). He’s passionate about the intersection of Animas Valley inspired work with Nonviolent Communication as a way to contribute to “The Great Turning,” a thriving compassionate world. I’ve gone to quite a few of his workshops and they’ve helped me communicate significantly better. In this episode we dive into how James got into NVC, dive into the basics of NVC, Bill Plotkin’s work, and how the two fit together. I have a few years of NVC experience yet still picked up some new insights from the conversation!Show notes at stegdrew.com/episode20Connect with Drew:INSTAGRAM - @stegdrew / instagram.com/stegdrewTWITTER - @stegdrew / twitter.com/stegdrewTIKTOK - @stegdrew / tiktok.com/@stegdrewSign up for Drew's weekly letter at https://stegdrew.com/juicyIf you like this episode, please share with your friends, family and others!
Shawn Yoon is a Korean and in this episode we talk about the sexual history of Korea from roughly World War 2 to present day. Shawn posits that cities cannot exist without prostitution, and we uncover many inconvenient truths around Asian sexual history and human trafficking. In this episode we focus more closely on modern sex work in Korea, and how it ties into capitalism as a whole, talking about the commoditization of everything, with sex being included in that commoditization. The episode wraps up with Shawn’s translation of a Korean poem, which does a great job summarizing the conversation. For additional context, make sure to catch part 1, which is the prior episode.Show notes at stegdrew.com/episode19Connect with Drew:INSTAGRAM - @stegdrew / instagram.com/stegdrewTWITTER - @stegdrew / twitter.com/stegdrewTIKTOK - @stegdrew / tiktok.com/@stegdrewSign up for Drew's weekly letter at https://stegdrew.com/juicyIf you like this episode, please share with your friends, family and others!
Shawn Yoon is a Korean and in this episode, we talk about the sexual history of Korea from the dawn of Confucianism till roughly World War 2. We filmed the episode from 10 pm to midnight in Korea time, and realized that the topic needed more time to get us from WW2 to the present day, so we are filming part 2 soon. We dive into Confucianism, the Samurai, how Japanese Imperialism and capitalism impact prostitution and sex work. Shawn posits that cities cannot exist without prostitution, and we uncover many inconvenient truths around Asian sexual history and human trafficking. Sex is arguably the most important topic a person could talk about, yet sex education is generally overlooked in the curriculum of most schools, and in this episode sex work at the population level, throughout history is our main focus. Part of the theme of this show is creating unity, and I firmly believe that one of the best ways to do that is by learning from our history, which often involves surfacing inconvenient truths. This episode is not for the faint of heart.Show notes at stegdrew.com/episode18Connect with Drew:INSTAGRAM - @stegdrew / instagram.com/stegdrewTWITTER - @stegdrew / twitter.com/stegdrewTIKTOK - @stegdrew / tiktok.com/@stegdrewSign up for Drew's weekly letter at https://stegdrew.com/juicyIf you like this episode, please share with your friends, family and others!

Tom Worthington came into my bubble thanks to 40+ year Transcendental Meditation teacher and past guest Werner Pfleger. I watched one of his down to earth videos sharing his story about curing anxiety and depression. It moved me. Simple and personal without being prescriptive. It immediately made me want to talk to him, and I thought it’d be helpful for others to hear his story, so here we are.In this episode we discuss how he cured his anxiety and depression, particular habits and routines in his life, porn addiction and masturbation, video games, exercise, and self-help as a giant struggle.Show notes at stegdrew.com/episode14Connect with Drew:INSTAGRAM - @stegdrew / instagram.com/stegdrewTWITTER - @stegdrew / twitter.com/stegdrewTIKTOK - @stegdrew / tiktok.com/@stegdrewSign up for Drew's weekly letter at https://stegdrew.com/juicyIf you like this episode, please share with your friends, family and others!
