Ronald "Bong" Rodriguez's Journey from Government Service to Startup Community President
Ronald's current hustle includes being the founder and CEO of Learner Corporation, a training and enablement company, as well as consulting engagements in Metro Manila and serving on the board for various startup companies. He is also the Founding and sitting President for Naga City's Local Startup Community, Harong Katuod (Haka)
Before delving into his current endeavors, we explore Ronald's past work experience, which began in the national government service, including roles in the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President of the Philippines.
Ronald then transitioned to the Asian Institute of Management. He later entered the corporate tech environment, working at companies like Oracle Philippines Corporation, and Hewlett Packard (HP), and having plans to join IBM before a life-changing opportunity arose.
Invited by Vincent Demarillo, a prominent figure in Philippine startups, Ronald joined Acalef in Singapore, marking hise etry into the world of startups and entrepreneurship.
From there, Ronald immersed himself in the startup ecosystem and eventually started his own company, fueled by the challenges, creativity, and decision-making required in the startup environment.
