In the first episode we set the context and expectation around the outcome from the series. In this episode we will primarily focus on the factors influencing FM and customer relationships, which Tarun will address through a framework called MOSS, while addressing the challenges and complexities that are arising in Indian FM markets. Welcome to the first episode on Output Based Contracts & Specialisation - Next Wave of Growth in Indian FM Markets. We are all aware of some bottlenecks that are keeping the Indian FM Industry from growing but what about its lesser known fact? With the podcast series we are going to cover the next phase of growth which is due to happen in the facilities management space, as well as the possibility of transitioning to output-based contracts. We are also touching on Tarun's career accomplishments in the logistics and facility management space, including terms like automation, internal barriers, and understanding the playing space, as well as learning about the ratio kind of change where luxury residential is becoming a key part of the FM services space. If thought leaderships pieces from McKinsey and Deloitte hold any ground ( oh Yes! most certainly), then #FacilityManagement leaders must take their talent and workforce strategy seriously. Not many have worked in a data first environment, many will have to work in data first environment. That is a huge challenge and also an opportunity to outdo the peer group :) 🥇 Link to Deloitte's Report - https://www2.deloitte.com/us/en/insights/industry/financial-services/commercial-real-estate-outlook.html Link to McKinsey Podcast - https://www.mckinsey.com/business-functions/strategy-and-corporate-finance/our-insights/boards-talent-and-culture Got you thinking?

James Jessup and Umesh Bhutoria have teamed up for a podcast series themed around State of Facilities Management in South East Asia. Over the last two years there has been so much of change across FM Industry, we thought it was relevant to put special focus on emerging market like SE Asia.  In the introduction episode JJ and Umesh sit down, talk about the genesis of coming up with the podcast series and what our listeners can expect to get out of the entire series. Co-Hosts would really love to have your thoughts, questions and suggestions, which would perhaps be the best way to keep it engaging. All episodes would be released once a week on Monday. Stay tuned!
Welcome back to yet another episode of the FM times podcast!  Now in this podcast episode, we're going to be discussing about the facilities management technology service delivery stack, plus also look at what the contribution should be from the FM perspective.  Let's really dive deep into the sort of arbitrage it provides towards the negotiation when it comes to re-bidding for a current account or probably, putting in a parallel bid along with a compliant bid when you are trying to bid for the new site. Would love to know your thoughts. Best way to do that is a share your feedback via messages :)
Having found the "true" purpose of doing what i do, i find it often disturbing when i hear #FacilityManagement leaders or professionals get into this People Vs Process Dilemma. This is a False Dichotomy.  People who follow the processes are usually not the ones who have designed it or had any kind of say in designing the same. As the industry starts to thrive on digital transformation this False Dichotomy is set to only get bigger and needs a change in status quo and a perspective shift. How can we bring that change? I cover all this and more in the episode.  If you like what you hear or have any suggestions, please do share your feedback message.
Resistance to change is the opposition to altered circumstances or modification of the status quo. FM leaders driving an inclusive transformation have to overcome a lot of forces which tend to create an inertia (if not oppose) along the entire Digital Transformation journey. Once FM companies and teams can achieve critical momentum, have a significant part of the organisation aligned, they would be closed to achieving the escape velocity. Once they cross it there is no going back to the "Business as usual" scenario. How many Facility Management companies globally have achieved the escape velocity?
Facility Management sector has seen a host of changes over the last 18-24 months, surprisingly enough leading Facility Management companies and leaders are still waiting for a Red Carpet Invitation to initiate transformation, from digital to one that spans across the entire business! Why is that so? In this episode i connect the dots, draw inspiration from numerous conversations i have with FM leaders and try to find the common reasons why leading FM companies and the leaders running those organisations fail to make faster decisions. In the previous episode, i spoke about the ways in which emerging FM companies can outdo incumbent players. This episode is all about helping the incumbent companies and their leaders to do some soul searching!
