Welcome to the next episode of Cozy on up in NC Cardinal! Each episode is a journey through a Cozy Mystery theme or author available in NC Cardinal public libraries. This episode looks at Vivien Chien's *A Noodle Shop Mystery* series. In season 3, episode 19 of our library podcast we are diving into the most highly anticipated books to be released this summer so get your TBR list ready! With a variety of authors, seasoned and brand new, and a mixture of genres there is sure to be quite a few on the list that you will want to read as well. Just log into your account through the NC Cardinal catalog and place your holds or give us a call at the library and we will be happy to place them for you. Happy Reading!
King Charles III will be crowned this Saturday, May 6, starting 5am EST. Here's a quick rundown of facts and cool things to notice while you're watching the ceremony. Andrea has pulled her inspiration from the review in April on S. J. Bennett's Her Majesty the Queen Investigates series that has Queen Elizabeth II investigating crimes. That series is available in regular print, large print, and audiobook in NC Cardinal. While all the "British royal fever" is circulating, it's a cool thing to read while having fun, especially for readers who find the monarchy fascinating, but don't want to read a nonfiction history book. www.sjbennettbooks.com
This episode is our chance to discuss all the wider British monarchy related topics and people, without stretching the last episode any longer than it was.

So I hinted that something exciting was coming, and the first part is here! Today, we’re tackling a series I’ve had my eye on for a time. It is getting good reviews, has regular print, large print, and audiobook / Audible options; it is in NC Cardinal consortium; and fits with the royal coronation and British-themed murder mysteries we’re tackling in upcoming podcast episodes. *Her Majesty the Queen Investigates* series by S. J. Bennett has 2 books, with the third book coming out in the United States in September 2023.

Last year in April, National Garden Month, we did the Flower Shop Mystery series by Kate Collins and the Hallmark adaptations. Well the page-to-screen element got handled last month with Joanne Fluke’s Hannah Swensen series. The gardening topic, though, had to get moved up as some fun stuff needed to happen nearer summer, so there is some exciting stuff coming up soon!
Bloom and Doom (April / Oct 2014) - book #1 in A Bridal Bouquet Shop Mystery series, by Beverly Allen.
A Bridal Bouquet Shop Mystery series is her only series as of this episode. It has 3 books (2014 to 2015).
These are available in regular print and large print in NC Cardinal libraries.
The audiobook is on Audible and eBook on Kindle, but not Kindle Unlimited.
While our local NWRL system doesn’t have it in Libby and Overdrive, your local system might. Take a look!

Pruning the Dead (Jan 2019) - book #1 in A Garden Squad Mystery series, by Julia Henry.
A Garden Squad Mystery series is her only one currently (under this pen name, that is), and is still actively being added to, and is up to 5 books (2019 to Oct 2022).
These are available in regular print and large print in NC Cardinal libraries.
The audiobook is on Audible and ebook is on Kindle Unlimited.
While our local NWRL system doesn’t have the eBook in Libby and Overdrive, your local public library system might. Take a look!

Welcome to the next episode of Cozy on up in NC Cardinal! Each episode is a journey through a Cozy Mystery theme or author available in NC Cardinal public libraries. This month, we're looking at coffee cozies! Well, just like our book character Lana Lewis, who is tasked with writing a newspaper feature on coffee, I too open with a blurb about it, and a list of coffee history books in NC Cardinal. The book we're reviewing this month is Tara Lush's *GROUNDS FOR MURDER*, book #1 in the Coffee Lover's Mystery series. There are currently 3 books in this series, with #3 having come out in October 2022.
I loved this book, so take a listen to find out why!

Welcome to the next episode of Cozy on up in NC Cardinal! Each episode is a journey through a Cozy Mystery theme or author available in NC Cardinal. I open with a discussion of the history of pumpkin, pumpkin (pie) spice, and how it has become such a big part of American baking, and has now moved beyond that into coffee and now into many other things. As with any reader, we all rotate through various genres and authors, and flip-back-and-forth to our favorites we’ve read many times, trying new authors, and testing different formats like eBooks, audiobooks, large print, and regular print. I review the book / audiobook versions of the following 3 baking-themed Thanksgiving cozy mysteries:
