In this episode of Coffee and Shaykhs, Imam Adil Khan and Shaykh Kashif Siddiqui reflect on growing up Muslim in non-Muslim environments, facing peer pressure, and learning how to practice Islam with confidence. From school and sports to college, work, and public life, this conversation highlights the importance of identity, conviction, and carrying Islam with dignity and good character.
We continue the Tafsīr of Sūrah Yasīn from verse 29, reflecting on how Allāh ﷻ can erase nations with a single command and how one trial can shake an entire life. This episode explores the warning against mocking the dīn, the rise and fall of empires, and the powerful signs in creation: dead land revived, gardens and provision, and the balance of the sun and moon in their precise orbits.
In this Jumuʿah khutbah, Mufti Wasim Khan reminds us that we are never too far from the mercy of Allāh ﷻ. Through the story of Mūsā (ʿalayhi al-salām) and the hidden sinner whose sincere tawbah brought rain, we learn that Allāh covers His servants, especially when they return to Him.
In this first episode of the Tafsīr series on Sūrah Yāsīn, Mufti Wasim Khan explores the powerful opening of the sūrah and the moving story of the man who came “from the farthest end of the city” running to support the truth. This session reflects on sincerity, service, following the Sunnah, and how even someone unknown in this world can be honored eternally by Allāh ﷻ. A reminder that our footsteps, our efforts, and our care for the Ummah are all written.
In this episode of Coffee and Shaykhs (Week 1), Mufti Wasim Khan and Imam Adil Khan discuss the reality of rizq, barakah, and how spiritual success begins long before ṣalāh — it starts with wuḍūʾ and intention. We often ask Allāh ﷻ for more wealth, more comfort, and more success. But the real duʿā’ isn’t for more — it’s for barakah in what we already have. Through reflections on wuḍūʾ, the footsteps of Bilāl رضي الله عنه in Jannah, the meaning of renewing īmān, and the importance of staying connected to scholars and sacred knowledge, this conversation reminds us that quality outweighs quantity in every aspect of life.
In this first Jumuʿah of Ramadān, Mufti Wasim Khan reminds us that this month is the season of Allāh’s giving and it’s shaped by the Qur’ān. Through powerful stories and practical examples, he explains how reciting with reflection brings barakah, how the Qur’ān becomes a source of light in our lives, and why we must move beyond surface-level reading. Build a daily connection with the Qur’ān, recite, understand, and let it transform you.
With the arrival of Ramadān, we’re entering the season of Allāh’s ﷻ immense forgiveness, when mercy is at its peak and repentance is welcomed. Mufti Wasim Khan highlights practical ways to elevate your Ramadān: come early to the masjid to multiply reward, fast beyond just “not eating” by avoiding sin and controlling the nafs, and keep your ifṭār simple so your worship stays strong. We’re encouraged to build a focused Ramadān schedule (Qurʾān, duʿāʾ, ṣalāh, service), fight procrastination, and treat each day like it could be our last. The message closes with a call to make Ramadān masjid-centered, reduce distractions (food, sleep, phone, idle talk), and take advantage of the community programs happening throughout the month.
As Ramadān draws near, Shaykh Omar Ḥusain reminds us that there is no such thing as “too many” reminders to prepare for this blessed month. The khuṭbah focuses on building the right mindset—having a good opinion of Allāh ﷻ, approaching Ramadān as an opportunity (not a burden), and staying optimistic through trust in Allāh’s decree. Shaykh also emphasizes making our relationship with the Qurʾān more active and consistent, so its impact continues beyond the month. Finally, he calls us to be intentional with food—reducing excess, avoiding waste, choosing what supports worship, and making practical adjustments that help us maximize Ramadān.
In this final majlis before Ramadān, we conclude our reflections on Sūrah Nūḥ and prepare our hearts for the blessed month ahead. This session explores Allāh’s call to repentance and the powerful reminder that no one is ever too far from His forgiveness. We reflect on how Allāh creates people in different stages, with unique strengths and tests, and how every burden placed upon us is one we are capable of carrying, especially when we turn back to Him. The lecture concludes with lessons from Prophet Nūḥ’s (ʿalayhi al-salām) duʿā’ and a reminder that supplication is powerful and always answered, so we must be mindful of what we ask Allāh for.We have a full lineup of Ramadān programs and events designed to help you maximize the month. In this Jumuʿah Khuṭbah, Br. ʿAbdurraḥman Khan reminds us that every blessing we experience, from health and time to simply reaching the masjid, is a gift from Allāh ﷻ. As Ramadan approaches, we are called to reflect: will we open this divine gift, or let it pass by unopened? The khuṭbah centers on a powerful Qurʾānic reminder from Sūrah al-Baqarah: Allāh ﷻ is near and responds to the one who calls upon Him. Ramadan is not just about fasting, it is an invitation to respond to Allāh, to renew our relationship with Him through duʿā’, sincerity, and humility.
In this episode, we focus on Nūḥ’s (ʿalayhi al-salām) words: calling his people night and day, and how people respond when truth confronts their ego by avoiding, deflecting, and “covering their ears.”We also explore a major lesson for our times: daʿwah isn’t only speeches, it’s your integrity, your identity, and your character in public and private.
In this Jumuʿah Khuṭbah, Imām Adil explains that ikhlāṣ (sincerity) isn’t just a “good intention” you set once, it’s an engine that must be maintained for life. He outlines five core requirements that build and protect sincerity: continuity, having one face in public and private, pairing sincerity with knowledge, being gradual and balanced (no burnout), and self-accountability (the “mirror test”) to catch hidden motives like seeking praise. The khuṭbah closes with a powerful reminder from the pious predecessors about prioritizing real need and true devotion to Allāh ﷻ.
In Episode 1 of Ark: Tafsīr of Sūrah Nūḥ, Mufti Wasim Khan explores how idol worship began gradually, starting with “good intentions” and ending in shirk. We also cover why Nūḥ (ʿalayhi al-salām) is the first Messenger, the importance of daʿwah with love, and the three foundations of salvation: worship, taqwā, and following the Sunnah. A powerful reminder as we prepare for Ramaḍān: return to Allāh ﷻ through ṣalāh and duʿā’.
In the final episode of the Hypocrite Series, Mufti Wasim breaks down the types of hypocrisy and the major signs of a munāfiq mentioned in Qur’an and Hadith: breaking promises, lying, betraying trust, foul speech in arguments, delaying and rushing ṣalāh, and living with a constant victim mentality. The reminder hits hard: hypocrisy is a disease of the heart, and the believers must fear it, fix it, and return to Allāh ﷻ before it’s too late, especially with Ramaḍān approaching.
In this Khutbah, Mufti Wasim Khan explains the serious warnings of the Prophet ﷺ about the categories of people described as “Laysa minnī” — “He is not from among us.”
In this episode of the Hypocrites Series (Tafsīr of Sūrah al-Munāfiqūn), the clash at the well of Muraysīʿ becomes the moment ʿAbdullāh ibn Ubayy tries to divide the Muslims with tribal pride and hatred toward the Muhājirūn. Though he denied his words, Allāh ﷻ revealed Sūrah al-Munāfiqūn exposing his hypocrisy and confirming the truth.
With Ramaḍān just weeks away, this Jumuʿah reminder calls us to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts. Imam Adil reminds us that before striving to do more, we must learn to recognize and thank Allāh ﷻ for what we already have: our time, breath, guidance, and ability to worship.
As the year comes to a close, while the world counts down with parties and distractions, this reminder calls us to something deeper: reflection, gratitude, and preparing for the Hereafter. We’re reminded that life can change in an instant—people make plans for years ahead, yet Allāh ﷻ decides our time.Mufti Wasim highlights the value of using time wisely, staying connected to the masjid, and preparing for Ramaḍān by building consistency now. It covers the virtue of walking to the masjid, waiting for ṣalāh, making wudū’ in hardship, and honoring the sanctity of Allāh’s house by keeping it free from distractions and worldly business.
As we enter the new year, Imam Adil Khan reminds us that true change starts with discipline and worship. Reflecting on Sūrah al-Muzzammil, he explains how Qiyām al-Layl helps crush the nafs, strengthen self-control, and bring the heart and mind into focus. He also connects night prayer to becoming from the ʿIbād al-Raḥmān—people of mercy, balance, and purpose.
The first episode of this series covers the context of Sūrah al-Munāfiqūn, signs of hypocrites and how we see hypocrisy take place in our daily lives.Delve into the Qurʾānic exposure of hypocrisy through the Tafsīr of Sūrah al-Munāfiqūn.This powerful sūrah was revealed to unmask the reality of the hypocrites, those whose tongues profess faith while their hearts remain diseased. Through its verses, Allāh SWT exposes their traits, motives, and the spiritual dangers they pose to themselves and the community.
