Welcome to Almost Interesting, the podcast designed to be just interesting enough - but not too interesting, obviously. In each episode, I'll dive gently and aimlessly into topics that are, frankly, not exactly gripping - but perfect for drifting off, relaxing, or just having some pleasant background noise. Think of it like those stories your slightly boring friend tells, but without the social obligation to pretend you're listening.

I can't listen to this anymore. the editing is awful. Are you using AI ?
neither person here is good and obviously Beverly was a terrible mother, but I feel as though Simon is underestimating how terrible of a mother Sabrina was. you can't not change a child all day! arguably, Beverly would have been right to contact protective services
sorry but I love listening to you but the way u dont like people about their religion is how I sometimes feel about u shifting on religion
Good Lord Simon is unbearably pro parents in this one. I get having an opinion, but usually he will at least pretend to get through the evidence without defending someone every step of the way. he didn't go over a single suspicious thing they did without making excuses for it. I don't know if I think they're guilty, but his constant excuses. just annoyed me
Simon, you and I are kindred spirits. I also only like Ironman movies. All other superhero movies are boring, imo.
I always enjoy George's scripts and the fact that Simon also seems to really get into them.
Simon: *Interrupts himself before reading the forensic evidence* Simon: "I don't know, this case all seems circumstantial!" xD
where can I buy a note book? 🥹
I think it's entirely possible that it's a bit of both- that he was doing a bit of vigilantism on the side and he was framed for more than he actually did.
Simon, are you insane? Marv had all this time to hook up to the sewer line, he refused to pay the 70K. He's supposed to be so successful and have so much money and unexpected expenses are part of buying property! I get that you changed your mind here, fact boy, but even from Marv's POV this was completely unreasonable!
The film based on this story is quite excellent. Anthony Wong won the equivalent of an Academy Award for his performance in it. The film is quite brutal in depicting the murder of the family.
Wow, the ending Ad cuts off the list of victims. Only got to 6 of them, I know there is nothing intentional with that but that sucks.
there is no statue of limitations on murder meaning it never closes
you forgot to mention the Actual thief, United Kingdom
This isn't an excuse for Pedro, but the reasoning is that he doesn't think other children that age should have a better life than he did at that same age. It's really fucked up thinking that, but to his messed up mind, it's logical.
protect the hospital and system put blame on a patsy. I think she did it but playing devils advocate
older cars were made stronger therefore can take more damage before the driver gets hurt
at 4 minutes 11 Simon says that the writer said watch out for the thieves in Washington DC and then Simon responded with "I think that would be safe because that's where all the government stuff goes on" government..... thieves....ironic..
My dad was an uncle by 8, he has 10 siblings, so the older ones were getting married and having children while he was in elementary school.
Not that TV show literally being called "Hannibal"... and it was more than 6 years ago.
