What happens when Jesus is close by? In this week’s Don’t Miss This, Dave and Grace finish their study of Isaiah with some of his most hopeful promises. Through Isaiah 58, 61, and 65, we see a picture of the Savior’s work: binding up the brokenhearted, setting captives free, bringing beauty from ashes, repairing what is broken, and creating something new. We’ll talk about what it means to become a “repairer” and a “restorer,” how serving others can bring more of Jesus into our own lives, and why the ministry of the Messiah isn’t just something we read about—it’s something we’re invited to participate in. What does Isaiah teach us about who Jesus really is? This week on Don’t Miss This, we study Isaiah 50–57 and some of the most powerful prophecies of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament. Isaiah 53 introduces us to a Savior who was “a man of sorrows,” who carried our grief, bore our pain, and was wounded so that we could be healed.
