Lincoln Park's finest middle school teacher Mr. Brian Amorose joins Stiner on this episode. The two talk high school sports as football is now moved to the spring, as Coach Amorose and Stineman try their best in leading young men during a pandemic. We also talk about schools opening up with some disagreements. Knowing you can't judge or shame anyone on how they feel, but instead coming together as safety for the community is the number one priority.
Alex Fast joins Fumblin' Around to talk a lot of baseball. Alex is one of the best fantasy analyst and host of Around the Corner podcast for Pitcherlist. Alex wrote an article about Dylan Bundy and the changes he has made going to the Angels before his most recent dominant start. Alex also talked about the Tigers' rebuild and the direction it is headed being led by a young group up pitchers on their way up. Alex also gets his first time checking out the constitution for my home fantasy baseball league and he is intrigued.
Come hangout with Stiner as he goes over what is going on in sports in this crazy world! Baseball has started and Tigers win their first game of the shortened MLB season. Join Stiner and lets talk sports!
On this episode of Fumblin' Around Detroit Sports Stiner brings on old friend Erik P. Before the shutdown Erik spent much of his time watching and following sports. So you can imagine the guy who placed his first official Michigan sports bet the day the NBA shutdown.
On this episode of Fumbling' Around Stiner brings on good friend Tommy Hierlihy. The two work together teaching world history in a cotaught class. They discuss the importance of education and sports but also the science behind Covid and how to best mitigate the spread it in the communities we care about. We all want to get back to normalcy so let us all do our part so we can have school and sports.

Stiner and Dez have also worked together on "Kumquat Corner" a political comedy show where Dez played the host of the show John Kumquat. We talk about a lot of subject matters again in this show with a little more sports involved. Hope you enjoy!

Former host of Fumblin' Around and University of Michigan lover Andy Reid joins Michigan State lover Mitch Haba as guests this week on Fumblin' Around Detroit Sports Podcast. This episode features mostly college football talk around Michigan and Michigan State.
Will Michigan put it all together finally under Harbaugh? We know MSU has a top ranked defense from last season, but can that putrid offense from last year turn it around? It will need to if they want a chance at the Big Ten Title? We mention other Detroit teams, you know on how bad they all suck. Very fun episode! Back to the Future Fantasy Baseball starts at 1 hour and 39 minutes into the recording. We are heading into the last week of the season and things are up for grabs more than ever. So many teams are vying for spots in the playoffs. Every seed is up for grabs this year including 1st overall for the regular season. Who will make it? Who will just miss out? Give it a listen to find out. Enjoy! This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
What an amazing episode, everyone should give this week's guest Caitlyn Shea a listen. Farm team member, hockey lover, former tom boy, and just all around bad ass Caitlyn joins Stiner and they discuss being not naturally talented at improvising instead both had to work hard and go through bombing (trying to be funny but ends up being cringy and hard to watch). Would you rather be naturally talented or have to work hard for something? Hey guess what Tigers and Lions still suck! Jay Z is joining the NFL and some our upset about Colin Kaepernick situation including Eric Reid of the NFL. Stiner is losing it guys and conspiracies run amuck. Back to the Future Fantasy Baseball starts at 1 hour and 24 minutes in. The league finally has some drama the last couple weeks. Stiner calls out teams not even putting in starting lineups to compete. Things are close and tension is rising, give it a listen to catch up on your favorite fantasy baseball podcast. This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
Look I try not to be a conspiracy theorist, I like real data. But somethings just don't add up. Tim Dockery on a previous episode told me about the conspiracy behind Chester of Linkin Park and his supposed suicide. Well the Epstein situation stinks of you know what. This might be the one thing left and right agree on, that he is a scum bag, but where we disagree is who might be connected with him. Another scandal Stiner talks about is the one of Biogenesis and Major League Baseball regarding steroids and HGH. Again if you think MLB top ranked officials didn't know what was going on, well you might be not be all there, bless your heart. Is Michigan overhyped again? Also talk about Lions beat down by the Patriots and the last place Tigers. At 38 minute mark I go into Back to the Future Fantasy Baseball. The regular season is ending. Stiner has his trade vetoed at the deadline, almost made it with minimal drama. Enjoy! This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
Stand up comedian and improviser Ellen Stachowicz joins Stiner on Fumblin' Around this week. Ellen and Tom tell each other how they first go to know of each other, and it really couldn't be two different scenarios. The episode is a lot of fun, but also gets real. Ellen gives Stiner some personal experience of being a woman in comedy. There are inequalities and harassment everywhere including in the local comedy community. Issues like this need to be discussed and worked on to make sure all are feeling safe and included. We cannot be losing people in the community to harassment, we must listen to each other and try to understand. Thank you Ellen so much for coming on and being vulnerable. Also for listening to me rant on how bad Al Avila and the Tigers are along with the other noncompetitive sports teams in Detroit.
What a fun episode with two great local improvisors Michael Duprey and Jason Petterson. Was Jason surprisingly a misbehaved child or did he have crappy babysitters? Everyone is loving wrestling these days, what is your finishing move? Michael Duprey has a finishing move that you might want watch out for. You have to give this one a listen if you like fun. You like FUN right? If you don't listen, Michael will put you into submission!
Back to the Future Fantasy Baseball is back for all you fantasy heads and starts at 1 hour and 39 minutes into the episode. The league is as close as it has ever been. No drama so far (no season has not had drama), is it looming? A lot to catch up on, so give it a listen.

The 1st part I bring back on my brother Tyler Stineman for a post Vegas vacation update. What a trip, especially for Tyler, you are going to want to hear what happened to him.
The second part of the show starting at 1 hour and 7 minutes in (1:07) I have good friend and awesome improvisor Hunter Dunn on. Hunter is also a fellow teacher. We have some great back and forth, a lot of fun but not a ton of sports talk on this episode. Only so many times I can say how bad Detroit sports teams are. Also watch out for Andy Reid for President-2024. Enjoy the episode.

This is a great episode with guest Bill Bonora. Bill is an athlete him self and follows most professional sports. He is a down to earth guy who started a business with his best friend Eric and just wants to live a simple happy life providing for his family and helping his community when he can. Bill was part of the Big Brother program and talks about the major positive impact that it had on his life, especially in sports. Bill gets real personable about his upbringing and his unique perspective on life and sports. Sorry Bill we ran out of time and you didn't get to talk all the crap you wanted about Bob.
Also "The Allen Parker" Facebook group took down my post about getting municipal city wide wifi. Apparently some comments were bashing the city but we had a good conversation going own between citizens and someone got butt hurt and took my post down!

One of Stiner's favorite people stops by the studio this week, Bob Fyman better known as Smiling Bob. Bob is a marine corp vet, serving 3 tours. He was awarded two Purple Hearts while in service. On the episode Bob tells the unbelievable stories on how each one was earned. Bob is lucky to be alive and we are lucky to have him. After his service Bob gives us an insight of Golf School, that's right Bob went to golf school and it was paid for by the G.I Bill. So much more, just listen to the episode, Bob does not disappoint.

What an episode to start off summer for this teacher. The Father's Day guest, a father himself and head coach for back to back district champs, Divine Child's head varsity basketball coach Mac Horvath joins Stiner! Mac is the biggest University of Michigan fanatic Stiner has ever met. Chet couldn't make it again, but don't worry Mac will clear the air on who is and was the better baseball player. Stiner learns a lot on this episode from Mac and his coaching style. Mac uses a lot of video and analytics to help coach players up. Mac looks at the bigger picture when it comes to athletes and the importance of working together as a community to build up Michigan sports as a whole. Thank you Mac for coming on and a Happy Father's Day to all the great Dads!

Took a week off and came back with a banger. Hope you missed us, had such a fun episode recording with Dez Walker and Nicholas Paglia. Dez is a local performer, actor, and improvisor in the Metro Detroit area who is also a sports enthusiast. Nick Paglia also on the podcast you can give a listen to his podcast Better On Draft after listening to the episode. Nick is also a member of the Back to the Future Fantasy Baseball League. Right from the beginning the episode is fun and goofy and goes a little all over the place. I know one thing, this teacher is ready for summer!
Totally forgot I filmed a commercial a while ago. See if you can spot Dez and Stiner next to each other. Here is the link: https://vimeo.com/287521424
