The apostle Paul, in answering the question of whether we should continue to live in sin because God's grace covers us, responds: "of course not!” Christians can, and do fall into sin; but as Paul tells us, we should not be 'enslaved' to it. So how do we experience this freedom from sin practically in our day to day lives and get rid of our old habits? Jesus said if we seek Him, we will find Him. God has given us an open invitation to come to Him. But He often allows us to go through seasons that will provoke a desire in our hearts to seek Him and be filled by what He offers and not what the world offers. In this message, Pastor Julian Mabey challenges us to seek God in this season as we birth what He wants to do in our lives both individually and corporately as a church.

Peter Cavanna exhorts all prodigals, all of those who have wandered away, to come back into the Father’s house. He reminds us that sometimes we may think and act like the lost son. Equally, there may be times when we see traits of the older brother in us as well. This message, based on Luke 15:11–32, powerfully encourages us and stirs us to change.

In James 1:12, we are encouraged to not fill up our spirits with wickedness, filthiness, or any other sinful traits. For that reason, Pastor Julian is exhorting us in this message to stay deeply rooted in the word of God, make room for the good seed in our hearts, and prepare ourselves to receive it. This is essential to our spiritual growth and daily sustenance.

During the last supper with His disciples, Jesus instituted the new covenant and gave a commandment for us to take communion as often as we can, in remembrance of Him. In this communion service, Pastor Julian reminds us of the significance of the last supper and shares with us what the new covenant is and how we can walk in the realisation of the better promises upon which it is established.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a foundational truth in the Word of God. This was expressed in the life of Jesus when He got water baptised and the Holy Spirit descended on Him like a dove after He came out of the water, launching Him into a ministry of miracles, signs and wonders. As we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, we are encouraged to follow the example of Jesus by being baptised in the Holy Spirit so we can carry on the ministry that He began.

Any attempt to please God in our own strength or in our own way is very laborious and cannot produce a lasting fruit. In fact, our righteousness is like filthy rags before God. In his sermon, Pastor Julian Mabey shares with us the provisions that God has made for us through Jesus Christ to serve Him efficiently without having to rely on our own strength.

Like in Genesis 1:1–2, the Spirit of God is hovering over our lives and His church and is waiting to spring into action in conjunction with the word of God. But if we do not have a desire and passion for Him to fill us and enable us to be involved in what He is doing, we will just become relics and walk in compromise. In Acts 28, the islanders in Malta kindly received Paul and the other travellers who were with him, even though they were all strangers to them. In his message, our guest minister, Peter Cavanna, highlights some valuable lessons from this account on how the church can be kind and hospitable to people that walk through our doors, regardless of how different they are from us.

Luke 24 gives an account of how Jesus walked with two disciples who were on their way to Emmaus, and they did not recognise Him. Why could they not recognise Him? How is it that God can be so close to us, yet we cannot see Him? In this message, our guest speaker, Peter Cavanna, expands on this account and shares some insights on how God could be in our blind spots sometimes.

When God created Adam, He breathed into him the breath of life to enable him to live and carry out his assignment in the garden of Eden. Similarly, as Christians, God has made provisions in the person of the Holy Spirit to empower us to live a fruitful life on earth. We are not meant to live according to our own abilities. Join us in this message as Dhanga Mhango shares with us what the role of the Holy Spirit is for us as Christians and how we can take advantage of His ministry in our lives.

When we hear the gospel message, we can choose to either embrace it or keep God at arm's length. The reality is that no matter how clearly the message is communicated, some will reject God while others will accept Him. This is apparent in the account of God’s chosen people, Israel, who rejected Him numerous times in spite of all He did for them and through them. In his sermon, Emmanuel Donor encourages us to obey God and allow Him to reign in our lives at all times.

Before his death, Jesus prepared the disciples by telling them he would die and rise again on the third day. However, when he died, the disciples lived in fear and in such a way that showed they seemingly had forgotten what Jesus told them. In this Easter sermon, Jean-Louis expands on the story of the resurrection of Jesus and encourages us to live a life of faith by constantly looking to Jesus and believing in what He says to us in spite of the circumstances.

Often we say that God has the highest priority in our lives, but the time we spend with Him is very little compared to the time we spend at work, with our families or on entertainment. Could it be that we have got our priorities wrong as they say actions speak louder than words? Gerry Beeves challenges us in this sermon to re-examine our priorities and put our relationship with God above all other things in our lives.

There are seasons in our Christian walk that God will take us into some kind of wilderness for a purpose that He has prescribed for our lives. As seen in several examples in the bible, wilderness seasons are not forever and are not meant to destroy us. Join us in this message as our guest minister, Julian Mabey, encourages us to embrace wilderness as seasons when God teaches us things and carries out His specific purpose of preparing us for what is coming next.

Disappointments do occur in life and are sometimes due to unmet expectations or fallout from our own past choices or decisions that other people make on our behalf. In his message, Jean-Louis draws an example from the story of Nehemiah to show us how the human heart naturally reacts to unfavourable outcomes and how we should instead strive to adopt a godly response in dealing with disappointments.
