Description

The church of Christ at Fairview Park is a group of Christians committed to following just the Bible in all that we say and do. Our goal is to be a local church like those found in the pages of the New Testament. Our collective worship and work reflect this focus.

Our weekly uploads are Bible lessons presented by Fairview Evangelists. We invite you to study the Bible with us.

Like those found in the pages of the New Testament, the Fairview Park church is completely independent of all other churches. The elders have authority over this congregation (Heb 13:7, 17; 1 Pet 5:1-4) and they answer only to Jesus – not any other church or body.

We would love for you to join us for worship. If you have any questions about what we do or concerns about whether we are following the New Testament, we sincerely encourage you to contact us.

Numbers 22-24. There are not many Bible stories that have an animal as a key character. In the story of Balaam, the Bible tells us he knew the word of God. Balaam learns that God's will always wins. In this study, Evangelist Gavin Williams examines how Balaam constantly rebels against God's will to his own detriment.
Romans 14:13-19. A major message of the New Testament is to live in peace. While many people want peace, how many seek the true peace that comes from God? And, how many people are seeking true peace with others? In this sermon, Evangelist Jacob Holman examines the Bible's instruction to "live in peace with one another."
1 Kings 2:1-9. We place great emphasis on providing our children with a good education. However, do we think as much of a "higher" education that not only prepares our children for this life, but for the one to come? In this study, Evangelist Jacob Holman considers the "higher" education that David gave to his son, Solomon. Then looks at three truths about higher education for young people.
1 Kings 19. This chapter of 1 Kings recounts how the prophet Elijah flees a death threat and is overcome with doubt. In this sermon, Evangelist Gavin Williams explores how, on Mount Horeb, God comforts and encourages Elijah.
1 Kings 18. There are many Bible stories that involve a mountain. This chapter in 1 Kings recounts the time Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. In this study, Evangelist Gavin Williams examines how God demonstrated His power on Mount Carmel and rained His blessings on Elijah and the people.

In this sermon, Evangelist Jacob Holman ponders that question and looks at what David wrote in Psalm 63 about longing for God.

What Are You Doing?

What Are You Doing?

2025-09-2931:03

Matthew 25:14-30. A common question today is "What are you doing?" There seems to be an obsession with what others are doing. The parable of the man who gave three servants a number of talents is a familiar one. Like today, the master in the parable wanted to know what his servants had done with the money. However, the parable is about much more than money. Using this parable, Evangelist Gavin Williams prompts us to examine ourselves and asks, "Which servant are we?" and whether we are using our resources effectively.
