Waiting is a skill.
Waiting isn't the same as doing nothing.
God is waiting on you to wait on Him.
There are a lot of things we can't know about what comes after we die. However, that doesn't stop people from trying to figure it all out. Today, we're exploring member-submitted questions about the afterlife.
We think about life and death precisely backward, and it makes us terrified of death. The way Jesus and the authors of the Bible thought and taught is so fundamentally different, it's hard to wrap our minds around. But, if we do, we'll find hope, joy, and life!
Hell is a hot topic (pun intended). Even thinking about it makes some people sweat, conjuring up feelings of condemnation and fear. But if we've got it wrong? Instead of running from the subject, let's talk about it!
An underwhelming vision of eternity produces an uninspired faith on earth. We know the "good place" isn't clouds, harps, and halos. The reality is much better (and more biblical).
Judgment is scary, but it doesn't have to be.
It really is THE question. Maybe we don't ask it all the time, but at some pretty significant moments in life, the question hangs pretty heavy. What we believe will make a huge difference in what we do right now.
We want to be a church involved in our mission every day. What does that mean? Why is that important? Colossians 4:2-6 highlights seven things to help us live a life we are all called to live.
We want to be a church characterized by generosity. What does that mean? Why is that important? It involves being generous with money, but it is more than that!
Is your faith fear-driven or joy-filled? Real, active, sacrificial faith is not only life-giving, it's the path to true joy.
Believe it or not, the best thing we can do in a crisis is worship.
A sense of belonging is an "uphill both ways" battle. It requires people to make space, AND for people to step into the space created.
What’s the most important thing to know in life? The answer might not be what you think it is.
