The Big Lebowski (42:27) The two headed director meets the two headed podcast. Can one of cinema's most beloved comedies be properly addressed and covered by us in a limited space of time? Of course not. But we can reflect on what condition our condition is in. We're not COMPLETELY out of our element. We also talk a ton about Eddington, and it rocks.
Raging Bull (39:34) Though we haven't covered Olivier, if we recorded with Sugar Ray He would say that it ain't just the movies, it's the takes. So give me a feed where these chill pals love Cage. And though I could film, we'd much rather chat... that's Podcast
Parasite (27:08) If only our podcast was as meticulously crafted as Director Bong's movies... The best best picture winner in decades is our topic today, and boy do we have thoughts! Pretty much all of them very positive!
Inglourious Basterds (30:51) I wonder what old QT would have as his entrance music into the ring. The king of the needle drop is our topic this week as he re-writes history to make it way more cool and fun. What's not to love? Don't miss out on this one or we'll turn your face into swiss cheese!
Raiders of the Lost Ark (26:44)Whips out! This week we talk about the best Indy flick ever. Amazing set pieces, fun adventures, and cinema's most timeless hat make this one a film for the ages. The arena is filling up with filmmaking talent, so stay tuned to see who sticks around and who goes over the ropes!
The Shining (31:10) Come podcast with us, Denny! Forever and ever and ever....The hits just keep coming as we have TWO all time directors now squaring off in the ring. Sometimes you just gotta hand it to a guy, so listen to us give someone their flowers in what must already be an incredibly large stack of flowers. Is anyone watering these?
Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday (26:23) Ke Ke Ke Jason Jason Jason! We didn't have time to point out EVERYthing this movie got wrong, but we certainly tried. Let our sweet voices worm into your ear like a Jason-worm makes people zombies or something... what was going on? Anyways, happy holidays.
Seven Samurai (39:57) The first contestant has entered the ring! We are going GIMMICK HEAVY in this absolute masters only HEAVYWEIGHT contest! Can the master himself stand toe to toe with the other giants of filmmaking? Let's discuss why the answer is "yeah he super can"
The Mummy (1999)! While Greg is on island time, Denny and Vanessa are on EGYPT TIME!!! We're covering Brenden Fraser's iconic leading role in The Mummy. While this beloved blockbuster managed to upset a certain autistic monster enthusiast, even the grumpiest among us will eventually come around to the heart of adventure and the spirit of Hollywood that Imhotep embodies.
George of the Jungle (32:35) Is this movie the ultimate vine compilation?Monkeys, apes, gorillas, and Brendan Frasier's abs run the show once again, as they should. Swing in for the finale for this rendition of the theme!
Planet of the Apes (33:43) It's a podcast! A PODCAAAAST!! If you've got dirty ape paws on you and want them damn off, look no further. The evolution (heh) of Denny & Greg continues in what is we think our 7th movie about monkeys!
Monkey Shines (25:37) Celebrate 150 episodes of monkey mayhem!! We are whipping around in our sick wheelchair and gator-rolling any caretaker monkeys that want to try and inject us with serums or whatever! If this doesn't sound scary but DOES sound at least interesting, boy howdy are you in the right place.Note: It's important that you watch this movie's poster before going to see the new movie "The Monkey".
Monkey Trouble (29:06) It is the official stance of the Movies For When podcast that there is no distinction between apes and monkeys, just in time for us to cover a movie that actually doesn't have an ape. One of the characters even said so.Check out our takes on a movie that features a slam dunk Grenny Award front runner, and that has less stakes than a vegan restaurant.
The return! Greg is back! The awards are back! Movies For When Is Back! The award winning podcast takes a look back on what was one of the more eventful seasons so far. How did your favorite and least favorite movies do in the awards this year? Who will be inducted into the coveted hall of fame? Listen and find out!
