Hot on the heels of the news about Exorcist: Martyrs, we figured we would cover an exorcism movie; no, not Exorcist 2, which came up on the Necrophone, but instead we covered the 2006 Scott Derrickson film THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE. Call us on the Necrophone at 908-913-0782.     Intro:                    “Necromaniacs” – Mike Hill Outro:                 “Unholy Passion” – Samhain

This week, we discuss the band new found footage horror INFIRMARY. Streaming exclusively on Shudder, this slow burn is the debut feature film by Nicholas Pineda leaning heavily on liminal horror to tell the story of group of security guards dealing with weird happenings at defunct psychiatric facility.  Call us on the Necrophone at 908-913-0782.   Intro:                    “Necromaniacs” – Mike Hill Outro:                 “Sacrifice” – Venom

It’s a new Necro Neo Noir this week with the stylish 2011 DRIVE. Featuring an formidable cast including Ryan Gosling, Ron Pearlman and Albert Brooks, Nicolas Winding Refn paints a neon-soaked landscape of LA populated by mysterious stunt drivers, low-rent criminals and women in distress. Call us on the Necrophone at 908-913-0782.   Intro:                   “Necromaniacs” – Mike Hill Outro:                “Nightcall” – Kavinski

This week so cover MARTIN the 1977 film written and directed by  George Romero. Most of us know Romero as the godfather of the modern zombie film and some of his early films have fallen into obscurity. MARTIN is a brooding meditation of superstition, mental illness and vampirism.
