🧟♂️ THE ELIXIR is an Indonesian zombie horror that almost rises above the genre clichés. On the surface, the story is pretty standard undead chaos—but where it stands out is in the family drama layered underneath, giving the characters some much-needed emotional depth.
The practical effects and gore are a big win here—bloody, grimy, and effective without relying too heavily on CGI. That said… the characters make so many unbelievably dumb decisions that it starts to hurt the movie. We’re talking zero common sense and no self-preservation instincts, which drags down what could’ve been a much stronger horror experience.
Still, between the solid effects, intense moments, and emotional angle, there’s enough here to make The Elixir worth a watch—just be ready to yell at the screen.

The Great Flood starts as a fast-paced disaster flick with solid special effects and a sense of urgency that really works. For about the first 35 minutes, it feels like you’re in for a straightforward, intense survival story. Then it completely shifts gears.
This movie is not good—but it knows exactly what it is. 🐍
Ridiculous, dumb, and way more entertaining than it should be. The real highlight is the chemistry between Jack Black and Paul Rudd, who carry the movie on pure charisma and goofy energy.
If you go in expecting a serious monster movie, you’ll be disappointed.
If you want a fun, over-the-top creature feature that embraces the nonsense?
You’ll probably have a great time.

The cast is stacked top to bottom, and everyone clearly understands the assignment. No weak links here — every performance adds suspicion or straight-up chaos to the mystery. Daniel Craig continues to be the MVP, fully settled into Blanc’s eccentric brilliance.
The mystery itself is twisty, layered, and fun, constantly nudging you to rethink what you think you know. While it doesn’t completely reinvent the franchise, it proves that strong characters, sharp dialogue, and confident performances can still carry the weight.
Is it the best Knives Out? That’s debatable but I think so. Easily one of the most entertaining whodunits.

Avatar: Fire and Ash looks absolutely incredible. The visuals are stunning, and in 3D it’s genuinely jaw-dropping. But once the spectacle wears off, the cracks start to show.
The movie has no reason to be this long, especially when it’s retreading the same story beats and themes we’ve already seen twice. At this point, it feels like James Cameron is leaning way too hard on visuals to carry the experience.
It’s worth watching, especially on the biggest screen possible, but the franchise is starting to feel stale. Amazing visuals alone just aren’t enough anymore — the story needs to evolve.
⭐️ Verdict: Great to look at, diminishing returns in storytelling.

I challenged myself to watch some holiday rom coms and I Just finished A Merry Little Ex-Mas. If you’re looking for chemistry, drama, or anything resembling real conflict, you won’t find it here. Every romantic pairing feels completely flat, like they’re reading lines to each other for the first time. The jokes? Straight out of the bargain-bin cliché playbook. It's 90 minutes of nothing happening. This is the kind of holiday movie that should warm your heart, but its such a lackluster effort you are better off watching something else. 🎄💔

Edgar Wright’s The Running Man delivers a slick cast, a killer setup, and some genuinely intense action, all wrapped in a stylish dystopian package. Glen Powell carries the film with charisma, and the supporting cast brings plenty of energy to the chaos.
BUT… the movie runs a little too long, and by the time it reaches the third act, things start to fall apart. Instead of sticking the landing with pure entertainment, it feels like the film shifts gears to make a heavy-handed point — and the momentum just doesn’t survive it.
Still worth seeing for the thrills, but the ending might leave you wanting more.

The chilling atmosphere and haunting visuals deliver that classic Blumhouse terror, with the return of The Grabber —literally and figuratively. While it doesn’t completely recapture the mystery of the original, it is very similar to another popular horror classic. It adds a cold, supernatural edge.
A mix of psychological horror and ghostly vengeance, The Black Phone 2 is a very capable follow-up to the original.

The visuals? Stunning. The soundtrack by NIN was great. Some nice action set pieces and new ideas but when it comes to the story. Tron: Ares doesn’t quite reach the next level. It's not horrible or anything. Just really basic and a little boring. I’m just not sure if this one will click with a new audience or if it’s only here for long-time fans of the franchise. It looks and sounds incredible, but the plot feels stuck in the grid — stylish yet mostly empty.

Mark Wahlberg once again plays... Mark Wahlberg. Same tough-guy attitude, same expression, same one-liners gun and leather jacket.
This movie tries to be gritty but ends up feeling painfully unrealistic, flat, and uninspired. The chemistry between the leads can’t save a plot that feels like it was stolen from every mid-tier heist action flick in the last decade.
If you’ve seen one these Wahlberg action comedy movies, you’ve basically seen this one.

Just finished watching Ice Road: Vengeance and… wow. This might be the most generic Liam Neeson action flick yet. No ice roads, no real connection to the original, and nothing that stands out besides the same recycled “one man vs the bad guys” formula.
