Jamie and Sam discuss ICE's cold-blooded murder of 37-year-old mother of three Renee Nicole Good last week in Minneapolis: how it went down, who she was, and details on the pig who killed her. ICE as pathetic losers trying desperately to assert their fragile masculinity. Some of the other people ICE has killed. The responses from the Democrats and Republicans, the robust response from protesters, and why this is not the time for performative identity politics. Is America headed for a new Civil War, and is civil war necessary for revolution? Plus: Some constructive criticism for Hasan Piker. The PG crew is back together and boy, is there news to discuss. Jamie and Sam unpack the Trump administration's brazen kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela and his wife, Cilia Flores: the news from over the weekend, the political context, new president Delcy Rodríguez, the responses from various quarters, the politics of dancing, and the petty reason Trump didn't install opposition leader María Corina Machado. Is "The Donroe Doctrine" the most postmodern thing ever invented by a dying empire as it frantically thrashes about? How should anti-state partisans orient ourselves towards moments like these? What will become of the radical, bottom-up experiments of Venezuela's communes? And what, if anything, is to be done? Note: this episode was recorded before ICE's murder of Renee Good in Minneapolis Geo Maher's book that Jamie mentioned: Building the Commune: Radical Democracy in Venezuela SIGN UP NOW at https://patreon.com/partygirls to get all of our bonus content, Discord access, and a shout out on the pod! Jamie welcomes the illustrious Jake Flores to the program to discuss Richard Donner's very eighties take on A Christmas Carol, 'Scrooged' (1988). In this modern retelling, Bill Murray stars as Frank Cross, a selfish and greedy TV executive who cares only for his bottom line, until he is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve, who...you know the drill. We discuss the movie's insanely stacked cast (Bobcat Goldthwait, Carol Kane, David Johansen of the New York Dolls!), its take on corporate media, and its political message. Is A Christmas Carol revolutionary, or merely reformist? Plus: What our boy Marx thought of Charles Dickens. Join Sam and Reverend David Black of the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago for this year's Christmas Special as the two explore the meaning of Christmas and what it has to do with fighting the good fight. Was Jesus a revolutionary, if so what kind? What does it mean to be a human? And what can the holiday spirit teach us about this humanity? All this and more in this year's Christmas Special. A Chill, Lowkey Episode

A Chill, Lowkey Episode

2025-12-1301:06:55

Jamie is having a comically bad month and the news is grim. Please indulge the Party Girls in a chill, lowkey episode where they examine a number of human interest stories, including: the meaning of Christmas, the Pisces Co-worker, the anti-sharing movement, MFs getting tattoos under anesthesia, and Jamie's page on Canary Mission, which links to her Onlyfans. They also read and reply to some listener comments for their new "mailbag" segment and say a few words about Asad Haider. Jamie is joined by Bryan Quinby, formerly of Street Fight Radio and currently of Guys: With Bryan Quinby, to discuss Yorgos Lanthimos' latest piece of wackypants cinema. In this remake of the 2003 Korean film "Save the Green Planet," a wingnut named Teddy (Jesse Plemons) kidnaps girlboss big pharma CEO Michelle Fuller (Emma Stone) because he thinks she's an alien who's killing the bees. Themes of paranoia, atomization, niche internet culture, and...Stav?! Bryan uses his PhD in guy-ology to determine what kind of guy Teddy is. Exactly one year after the killing of United "Healthcare" CEO Brian Thompson, the PG crew looks back on one year of Luigi Mangione. They recap what's happened in the case so far, shout out Luigi's biggest supporters, and give updates on what's happening in Luigi's trio of court dates this week. At issue is the evidence police collected from Luigi's backpack upon his arrest in Altoona, PA, which the defense is moving to have excluded because the police did not read him his Miranda rights as required by law. The crew also announces an exciting new project from the December 4th Legal Committee, namely, a book! Depose: Luigi Mangione and the Right to Health, due out this coming May from Ill Will Editions, examines the public reaction to Luigi Mangione's alleged crime, placing it within the great western tradition of tyrannicide (the killing of a tyrant) and laying out a roadmap for how Americans could use this as a jumping off point to create a mass movement to guarantee everyone the right to health, once and for all. The lion's share of the royalties will be split between the Luigi Mangione Legal Defense Fund and other health justice projects. Socialism is in the news this week! The PG crew breaks down the bizarre Trump-Mamdani summit during which the president made it very clear that he has a crush on the democratic socialist mayor-elect of NYC. What the heck was that, and will it ultimately be a net positive, negative, or neutral? Meanwhile, 86 Democrats voted for the house bill condemning socialism, an idea that "only" one third of Americans support, according to recent polling. PS: We remembered to read the patrons' names this time. :) Curtis Sliwa doc: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blkCy52KUBE SIGN UP NOW at https://patreon.com/partygirls to get all of our bonus content, Discord access, and a shout out on the pod! Sam and Jamie tackle news of the day, including: tidbits gleaned from the latest drop of 2,300 Epstein-related emails. Megyn Kelly: "'technically it's ephebophilia." US State Dept designates four European "antifa" groups foreign terrorists. Dasha gets dropped. We introduce a "mailbag" segment wherein we respond to comments on our past episodes. The Party Girls are Joined by sex workers' rights advocates Elene Lam and Chanelle Gallant to discuss their book “Not Your Rescue Project: Migrant Sex Workers Fighting for Justice” out now with Haymarket Books. In this episode, Jamie and Sam explore the ways in which migrant sex workers have pushed back against state repression and how their stories, expertise and forms of life can be a beacon that lights the way for all of us as we seek to undermine the state’s capacity to surveil our movements. Elene Lam is the founder of Butterfly, a support network for Asian and migrant sex workers. Jamie reports LIVE from the COMMUNIST CORRIDOR of NYC on the election of New York's first socialist mayor since 1993, youngest mayor since 1892, first ever Muslim mayor, and most importantly, first mayor with a rap career Zohran Mamdani (learn to say it). What does it mean that America's most important city elected a democratic socialist mayor? Are there openings to make the "commie corridor" real, or is this just more electoralist recuperation? How butthurt are the Cuomos right now? Jamie and Sam discuss. The PG crew tackles a classic Halloween movie that captured our hearts and bent our minds when we were in high school: Donnie Darko (2001). In writer/director Richard Kelly's coming-of-age sci-fi thriller, troubled teen Donnie (Jake Gyllenhaal) must decipher the apocalyptic visions he's been having before it's too late. We discuss the film's political backdrop of '80s/'00s conservatism, the primary plot and whether or not it makes sense, and its enduring relevance, dropping a Marx quote or two along the way. The Party Girls crew takes on Paul Thomas Anderson's epic "taken" tale with revolutionary flavor, One Battle After Another (2025). In this comedic thriller, an aging burnout and former member of revolutionary group The French 75 (Leonardo DiCaprio) must spring into action with the help of his local karate sensei/migrant defense organizer (Benicio del Toro) when his daughter (Chase Infiniti) is kidnapped by an ICE goon/aspiring member of the white power elite (Sean Penn). Did we like the way revolutionaries are portrayed in this movie? One thing's for certain: between this and Eddington, we're all up in the zeitgeist. Jamie is joined by Tom Sexton and Tarence Ray of the Trillbilly Workers Party podcast to talk about Ari Aster's polarizing new film, Eddington. Set in a fictional southwestern town in 2020, the Hereditary director's latest offering has a lot going on: Joaquin Phoenix as MAGA sheriff, Pedro Pascal as neolib mayor, Emma Stone as goth girlfriend, and Austin Butler as cult leader. Also: hysterical SJWs, noisy 'splosions, and a high noon showdown set to Katy Perry. Is it a timely critique of the monsters people create in their minds, or lib-brained 'both sides' slop? Let's get this out of the way: we recorded this episode the day before Charlie Kirk got smoked by an assassin who is, as of this writing, still at large. But as it turns out, there are lots of other things happening in the world. Like: a judge threw out the Stop Cop City RICO case (yay!), ICE is invading Sam's city (boo), civil unrest popped off in Indonesia, and Zoomers are literally overthrowing the government in Nepal. Plus, NYC schools have a hilarious new mascot for the cell phone ban named "Frankie Focus." We promise we'll talk about the funniest thing ever next week. *** SIGN UP NOW at https://patreon.com/partygirls to get all of our bonus content, Discord access, and a shout out on the pod! Jamie had a not-so-great time on MR because she'd blurt out goofy/incorrect shit and Seder or Michael Brooks would have to gently correct her.

Sam and Matt's glee at their extremely derisive Cum Town shout out makes me like them. Also, Nick Mullen is hot and has an avid following of horny gay guys so Matt's concern is valid.
