In 1925 Helen Keller challenged the Lions to be“knights of the blind.” Micheal Hudson, Director of the American Printing House for the Blind Museum in Louisville, KY, took us back nearly 100 years and helped us discover how it all happened. We know that effective strategies for leadership transitions, succession planning and many other activities are essential to fostering an effective organization and encouraging more people to step into leadership roles. However, none of that matters unless your organization’s culture supports it. Attendees joined the Berl Colley Leadership Institute Committee for an ngaging, interactive session that provided you with useful strategies and techniques to strengthen your affiliate and create a culture that is welcoming and encouraging to newcomers, members, and aspiring leaders.
