Description

Two unqualified fans talking about Marquette basketball. This is a weekly podcast about all things related to Marquette basketball from the common fans' perspective. We hope to have a fun, enlightening conversation about the team, what's going on in college basketball, and fight over who's opinion is wrong.

Welcome back #mubb, it's another week of losses and conversations. We initially discuss the performance against St Johns and DePaul and search for positives (DO is turning a corner?). We then use that as a pivot into fan reaction to the team and potentially the most critical offseason in the modern era. We then look ahead to the Providence and Butler games to see if there is any hope this week for victories. I know things aren't good, but at least we have each other. Enjoy!
We're back with another #mubb podcast and you'll find that we aren't quite as depressed as before. We review the teams performance in a nailbiting win against Xavier that shouldn't have been nailbiting and a nailbiting loss to Nova which we were surprised was so close. We talk about this teams lack of clutch and transitioning to players who have more upside as young players than others who've started or gotten extended run the last two months. We then celebrate a fun memory in #mubb history that is very much part of the visual media that a podcast isn't. Then we turn to the week ahead and while we don't think winning in the Garden is possible, this team could put up some fight against DePaul, which would be nice. Enjoy!
Hey all, new year same #mubb. Team still struggles offensively and can't lock down defensively when they need it but generally speaking the play has been better the last week. We talk about mostly, the Seton Hall game from this past week to frame the team performance. We then talk about #mubb memories past and close out on one of the last few hopes to break the losing steak, playing Xavier at home. Enjoy!
Happy holidays #mubb and soon to be happy new year in 2026. We weren't planning to pod prior to this weeks games, wanting to take time off during Christmas and all, but well, the program had other thoughts. As I'm sure you are aware it was announced that Zaide Lowery is no longer with the team which while not good isn't entirely surprising. However, the way it was announced and then the program responded to a troll post has turned it into a whole thing. So we chat about that, then we talk the games this week. We close out the pod with a new and, we hope, fun segment for fans. Enjoy!
The season has gotten dark so we're just gonna have fun from here on out. First we're gonna talk about the game results and any takeaways. Then we talk roster issues and challenges with current players but also a bright spot. Lastly, we are having an airing of grievances, starts angry but gets fun. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, nothing surprising happened for #mubb this week. Only one game this week so we spend a lot of time breaking it and the overall non-conference experience down. We then turn to the last seaming change for a win for the squad in a while, Georgetown coming to town Wednesday. We also talk about Creighton and what we think the conference schedule means for #mubb. Enjoy!
It what has to be the most depressing #BadgerHateWeek result in the last 2+ decades of #mubb, we have a lot of unloading to do. We talk about the game result but also have a frank discussion about the teams performance to date, the reality of an uncompetitive Big East campaign, and challenges across the roster. Very challenging couple of months ahead for the program but we hope you still find the podcast entertaining. Enjoy!
In some ways it was a new way to lose this season and in some ways it echoed previous #mubb loses but the Oklahoma loss was a tough one nonetheless. We have to chat through the results of that game but more than anything we are really using it as a context for evaluating where this season has gone wrong. We talk through expectations for the rest of the season, what we'd like to see the team do, and where changes can be made in season. We then preview Valpo and very half heartedly preview the Wisconsin game. Enjoy!
Another week, another tough loss for #mubb. We've officially adjusted expectations so now it's time to talk about what's working (not a whole lot) and what's not (fairly extensive list). We talk through the roster and what we're seeing from players and the prospects of improvement. We also talk changes we would like to see as this season shifts from target goals to avoidance goals. We also talk about the Oklahoma game and what we can and cannot expect from that game. At least we still have each other. Enjoy!
Timeless Mel Brooks comedy references aside, we gotta talk about #mubb. That game SUCKED and this podcast is officially joining the worry train for the season. Narrative trauma about losing to Buzz aside, the performance in the game was flat, then good, then great, then FLAT. We talk about what we saw in the game and what the overall trend in the season is making us to worried early. We discuss potential talent gaps and where the #culture can or will take us. We then reset seasonal expectations (they are low) and look at the week ahead. Unlike the game Saturday, we hope the podcast is something you can ENJOY!

Well, the start to the new #mubb season could have been worse, but not by much. Yeah sure, they won the buy games comfortably and had some fun along the way but the focus of the latest pod is the beat down in Chicago. Marquette had an early season challenge in facing a relatively unknown Indiana team, and to say they did not meet it is an understatement. We break down the game, what we think went wrong, and what of it is fixable. We also agree to mention the p word just this once and then we are never going to mention portal again this season. We do talk about positives, who/what do we like so far this season before turning to the week ahead. A critical buy game to get right and start fixing some of the issues, especially on defense before the only true big game on the non-conference home slate, Maryland. We break down the Maryland team, the Buzz of it all, and whether this becomes an early "must win". Tough start to the season, but we still hope you enjoy!

Well, our long national nightmare is almost over. #mubb season is almost back so that means Scrambled Eggs is back! Hope you are really locked in because we have a lot of ground to cover. We start with a general roster overview and the players we are excited or intrigued by including a new crush now that the Jopwagon has exhausted eligibility. We then talk about the team overall and how we project it's offense and defense to perform. As is tradition, we wrap up with a game by game projection that doubles as game previews for the 3! games we have coming next week. It's a lot, but as always enjoy!

Scrambled Eggs and #mubb have been away for a while so we thought we might step back into the podcast studio for a hot minute to record. It's got all the general meandering that you've come to loathe and hate but off-season addition. First spend we spend time talking about everyones little homie from Memphis (extreme Gary Parrish voice), Kam Jones on his being drafted by the Indiana Pacers. We also talking about #mubb NBA legacy and who picks up that torch. Marquette also announced (as well as generally clarified) retirements of jerseys for Tom Crean, Jerel McNeal, and Markus Howard so we talk about that and other MU greats. We then talk about the non-conference schedule announcement and one of us has strong feelings. Close out with some light roster talk. Enjoy!
Well the season ended as it always does and we've got to break it down. #ScrambledEggs talks about that New Mexico game and whether the outcome was inevitable for #mubb. Then we try to put the season in perspective in terms of expectations and performance and do some evaluation of what went wrong. We then turn to an early look at next seasons rosters and the burning question of to portal or not to portal. We close out with a thank you to the seniors and a reflection on Kam Jones career. Enjoy!

Welcome to the most exciting, important, and stressful portion of #mubb season. We are back to talk about where they are seeded in the tournament, what take-aways we have from BET, and how we feel going forward. We chatted about the match up against New Mexico and then look forward a potential match-up for revenge against Michigan State. We talk about hope (and good 3pt shooting) as the one and only path to a deep run. It's a fun pod and have to hope we've got several left in the season. Enjoy!
Welp, it wasn't the regular season ending we wanted for #mubb and it's been a long time since we've been daggered like that. We're back to talk about the last week of the regular season and just kind of sort out our feelings. We also talk about where the team is at overall and what hope/fears we have for the win or go home portion of the season. We chat about the Big East tournament and what we can expect from there before turning to the NCAA tournament and touching on seeding and match ups. Now it's time for everyone to get serious. Enjoy!
Finally #mubb had a "normal" week. #ScrambledEggs is back to generally overview the week that was and talk about the challenges of the week to come. We chat about some of the performance against Providence and Georgetown and what it means for the rest of the season. We then chat about the UCONN and St Johns games from a basketball perspective. We also get a little misty eyed about senior day and the end of the regular season. Lastly we spend some time talking about seeding. As always, enjoy!
Welp, it's gonna have to be another #mubb therapy session for #ScrambledEggs. We kick off the pod with a little bit of "WTF is going on around here?". We spend time breaking down how concerned we are and if there are any fixes on the horizon. We then talk about the balance of the season and what potentially may happen. We then close out with discussion of this week's games and the worry we have for the road game against Georgetown. Enjoy!

Welcome back #ScrambledEggs listeners after a rare weekend off for #mubb. In this episode we spend a little bit of time talking about DePaul but mostly focused around the performance of the team to date and how we can see the bye week helping (or not) the performance going forward. We then look ahead to the Seton Hall game, which should be a win for the boys, but we aren't taking chances and neither should they. We then talk about where the team stands in the standings and for March, including a discussion of the path to a share of the conference title. We close out the show with a Villanova discussion and projection. Enjoy!
Well, we were hoping it wouldn't come to this but it's time for some #ScrambledEggs therapy. It's been a rough 7 days of basketball outcomes for #mubb, so let's do the hard work and come to a good place. First we talk through the losing streak overall and what our biggest concerns are. We then talk about the results directly and what needs to change. We then get therapeutic for a bit before closing out on #DLTD. Also there is the jinxiest jinx to ever jinx. Enjoy!
