During his eleven years with the NFL, he played for the Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders, New York Giants, and Detroit Lions. Following his retirement from the NFL, McCoy has been involved with numerous civic activities on both national and local levels. He served on Pres. Reagan's Council on Sports for a Drug-Free America, and on the Pennsylvania Council for Physical Fitness.
