Some of the most beautiful poetry I've ever read has to be from the pen of Shri Rabindranath Tagore. He has a way of capturing the ethereal that smells like wet earth, and feels like the starry sky. A wonderful piece from his 1913 collection in the Poetry Magazine. Enjoy
A dreamy realism; a "growing- up" poem; nostalgia that comes when we begin to appreciate hidden realities behind magical stories. A beautiful piece.
The 24th Poet Laureate of the United States brings to us, in this poem, a sense of motherhood, a sense of nurture; a sense of nature, fusing it with what seem to be a sentiment that can be felt all over the world, in one way or another.
Well, here's a master at work, giving us something to reflect about, in and out. Please excuse the recording quality, enjoy the piece. :)
In Gardening, Rhina P. Espaillat, through the nurturing act of tending to plants, reveals the universal spiritual connection that binds humanity together, reminding us of the beauty and significance of our shared existence, while paying and homage to her own heritage and culture.
To do means making mistakes. It's unavoidable. Every one who's trying something, will make mistakes while learning. It is the duty of the doer to stay alert and do the beat, and enjoy this dance. A beautiful poem by Jennifer Bartlet, a reprimand; an inspiration!
I loved another poem by Inua Ellams Fuck/Shakespear, which got me interested in him in the first place. He feels like a wise older brother. So I'm sharing his work. Cheers!
"Your Heart is the Size of an Ocean, Go Find Yourself in its Hidden Depths" Rumi had said. Ricky Ray writes a Surreal World that feels Rumiesque, and Gives Us a Chance to Look Within. Beautiful.
A heartfelt poem. Ot transports you to a dream realm; packed with strong emotions, it is a poem that celebrates fatherhood and knowledge. A beautiful poem.
A string of words to holdon to as you dip into the spiritual. Mr. Ashbery gives us a beautiful piece that's nothing short of an epiphany. Enjoy.
Dialogue of the human spirit, of humour, of all that's hopeful and playful, with Death, the eternal truth.

It's a poem that brilliantly captures what behind our relentless, blind drive, and inspires something different. Something, more human; something, I believe we're all trying to get back to.
One of my favourite poet's tribute to Food and Humanity. Enjoy!
It is a cheerful, hopeful, prayer of a poem that really warms my heart and gives a sense of happiness to me in an uncertain world. Wonderfully written, and a joy to read. Hope it finds you as a blessing.
A beautiful poem that feels like a warm blanket in winter. I feel a cultural closeness to the poem as celebrating our ancestors is a part of life here. But, the poem becomes more than a cultural celebration, and can provide a sense of earthliness to anyone alive, anywhere in the world.
Of all the countless reasons to love someone, kindness is a special one indeed. A beautiful poem from the late poet, I wished to share on this Valentine's..
Kamala Das - Words

Kamala Das - Words

Kamala Das is one of the most prominent Indian poet and writer, and her poem "Words" describes, beautifully, the juxtaposition of words and silence, and even though words seldom help the way we want them to, still they keep coming, as if from a somewhere far within, a place we can't fathom.
..Ariel Yelen captures human experience brilliantly through poetic imagery.. Here she brings forth the soul of the human song..
Something about Love....
This short poem says so much. Dorianne Laux masterfully captures a feeling most people can relate to. Sometimes, not uttering everything that comes in our heads is the solution. Sometimes, silence is the saving grace we need.
