In this episode, we’re talking all about how to take care of your janky body as a beauty pro. All jokes aside, we really do go through it with aches, pains, feeling tight and tired - and even worse for some people. The typical advice and solutions of stretch, go see a chiropractor, get regular massage and use a heating pad or ice pack can be beneficial. They work best in conjunction with you taking intentional care of your body, too. I’ve done all the things (workouts, chiropractic, physical therapy) and still struggled with how to actually help my body when I was in pain from long days of lashing. Until I found mobility training. It changed my body and life. And it can change yours, too.  don’t want you to be dependent on outside treatments for temporary relief. I want to encourage you to learn the tools that can actually help your body feel good and move more comfortably. If you want to stay happy and healthy in your career long term, you have to take care of your body. In this episode:What advice beauty pro’s typically receive for body aches and painsHow I ended up in physical therapy What type of training changed my body and lifeReducing the silly everyday injuries with mobility trainingWhy you need to be intentional in your warm-ups as a beauty proIs stretching really helping you?Dynamic warm-ups vs mobility trainingWhat is mobility training?Gains you can make in the gym and outHow your body adapts to what you do most - a day in the life of a beauty proHow mobility training improves how you feel in your bodyWhat are isometric contractions? The connection between mobility training and mindfulnessAll about the NEW Free Your Body Strength and Mobility for Beauty Pro’s programs coming soon!If you are tired of dealing with chronic aches and pains that make you wonder how much longer you can see clients, this episode is for you!Connect with Abby: Instagram: BeautyProWellnessPodcast Instagram: CoachAbbyOEmail: coachabbyosullivan@gmail.comResources:Self Care CEO VIP Day 1-1 Wellness CoachingIf you enjoy this podcast and know your beauty industry pro friends and family would as well, please go ahead and hit the subscribe button and share this podcast! The Beauty Pro Wellness Podcast is produced by Wonder Podcast Productions.

Jillian began to just accept that passing out on the regular and constantly feeling fatigued was her fate. Her grandfather died of complications specific to diabetes. It was the last time that she passed out due to prediabetes/hypoglycemia that Jillian decided she did not want to live the rest of her life this way. She always ended up working a little behind the scenes though, helping troubleshoot systems that made things automated and as simple as possible. After ending her career as a hairstylist, Maleah switched to doing lashes. She has managed teams of 12+ women, manned the phones, worked with multiple booking platforms, put together online product ordering systems, counted and ordered inventory, etc. She loves to work behind the scenes, taking overwhelming "busy work" tasks off the boss's plate. Maleah is also a huge empath so there’s something in helping others that’s always filled her cup. She utilizes her ADHD to keep her hyper-focused with a dash of OCD to keep her there until the project is as close to perfect as possible. Cheers to mental divergence!
