Serving the least of our brothers and sisters is a mandate that is offered by Jesus Christ himself.  Here at St. Michael's, the Good Samaritans are a huge component of answering that mandate of the Gospel to serve the poor.  Join Fr. Everyone who is married in the Catholic Church has to attend some kind of marriage preparation meetings,  a retreat, or some combination of both.  However, lets face it.  Marriage prep is can be viewed as scary, intimating, and sometimes just plain awkward to talk about such personal matters with other people, let alone a priest.  Join Fr. Jacob as he interviews Lynn and Todd Schmitt, one of the couples who are involved in the marriage prep retreat day here at the parish.  Don't worry, a marriage prep retreat day is not as bad as you would think!

It seems like every parish or church has a Bible study, but what makes it special?  Join Fr. Jacob and Megan as they interview Deacon Ron Pyle and Linda Hansen as they share what makes the parish Bible study worth attending.  Listen to how it started, how to get started yourself, and what to do next if you want tot learn more about the Scriptures.

St. Michael the Archangel has become more and more known for its Mega Raffle which the grand prize is $50,000!  However, how does such a project come together and who is behind the scenes? Join Fr. Jacob and Megan as they interview two members of the Mega Raffle Committee, Mike Quigley and Joan McInerney.  Not only will you hear a new story or two, but also you will learn how to enter the raffle!

In any business or church, person who answers the phone is the first point of contact.  They have to know a bit of everything, know what is happening in the parish, and know who does what.  Monica Wantuch has been working at the front desk since last year, and is the voice you first hear when calling the parish. Social media, online presence, and evangelization are somethings that have not gone together.  Now, they are all the rage and the newest tool in the hands of those who are called to promote parish life online.  Since coming on last December, Megan Jones has gotten to do many great things in her time here at St. Michael's while building upon what her predecessors established in years past. Join Fr. Jacob and Megan Jones as they show you a behind the scenes look at what happens in the communications realm of St. Michael the Archangel Parish and School.

In any operation, team, or band, there are those who are the front.  They often represent the face of the organization and are seen most often by the larger world.  However, in order for any of those "on the front" to be successful, there is often a large number of those who are behind the scenes making things work. Fr. Jacob McDaniel and Megan Jones are hoping to show you some behind the scenes experiences and footage of what makes St. Michael the Archangel Parish and School work.  We will explore the people, the talents, and the dedicated volunteers who make it happen here in Schererville, IN.  Take a listen, and who knows, you might learn something along the way.
