Description

After 4 enthralling years in Rogers Park, Bears Superfan Cameron Krutwig has traveled across the pond to Japan to continue his professional basketball career. He is joined by senior walk-on for the Ramblers, Will Alcock, a self-described ‘Hoosier’. The pair will record their conversations that would have taken place regardless. In doing so they discuss Krut’s experience at the pro-level and his travels in East Asia. They'll give insight to Rambler fans whilst keeping Krut informed about Loyola Basketball. Also they'll air their clashing Midwestern sports takes, and maybe expound upon their variety of cultural interests. Bears. Blers. Bots. Those are the three topics that will be discussed weekly. Enjoy and go 'Blers.

Krut is finally able to watch the 'Blers from Mito, Japan. It certainly was a frustrating game but the pair provide some analysis and perspective on what's up with these 'Blers. As for the Bears, they question whether the smoke around Justin Fields is real. For the Bots, Krut recently played a familiar foe. He also describes his FIBA break which included a trip to Mt. Fuji. JAPANESE WORD OF THE WEEK- すみません – Sumimasen – Excuse me
Bears- The Bears have the #1 overall pick! What should they do with it? 'Blers- Certainly not the start we wanted in a new conference but the pair attempt to reflect on this start and where to go from here Bots(working on graphic/title change)- Krut has begun play with his 3rd professional team, the Ibaraki Robots, he introduces changes in this new setting both on and off the court
The pair of Krut and Will are joined by award-winning filmmaker, Patrick Creadon. Patrick directed The Loyola Project with the help of his wife, Christine, and their team at O'Malley Creadon Productions. Patrick discusses the people who made it possible to make the film, the relationships he built, and some important themes throughout. Well, given that two of three subjects of this podcast lost to their respective rivals in a matter of 24 hours, that was kind of a downer. Krut was on hand for both, and while the results weren't what we wanted, there's plenty to discuss and positives to build on.
Those last four 'Blers games didn't go to plan, so the pair dish out on where they see issues and offer their takes of optimism. The Bears have stayed the Bears. Krut briefly reflects on his time in Manila and shares what he's up to prior to Japan.
