"Extra Extra! Read all about it!" The Movie, could be the actual title of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. The Transatlantic nostalgic vibes for the 30s are STRONG in this movie. Starring Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow, giant robots invade the world, and it's up to Sky Captain Jude Law to stop them! Along with Gwyneth Paltrow's character, who is written like you'd expect someone from the 30s would think about women. This movie is FULL of green screen. Enough to make George Lucas weep.Don't forget to join our Discord for movie nights and additional podcast discussions!Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-other-half/exclusive-contentAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
So, after dedicating almost an entire year to James Bond movies, we thought the best way to send them off was to do a final retrospective on this experience. And that includes, of course, a tier list of all the James Bond opening songs. We had so much fun recording this off-topic episode. We hope you have just as much fun listening to it!

We took a little break from Bond and Mike brought us back to watch Daniel Craig's second outing in Quantum of Solace. This is the movie Ethan hated, but maybe this movie with an absolutely forgettable villain will win him over! And most importantly, will this be the last James Bond movie we watch for the podcast?!

Y2K is like Stranger Things for the Millennial generation who grew up on Windows 95! Well, at least that's how it's pitched. Directed by Kyle Mooney, the movie follows a loser from high school who suddenly finds himself in the apocalypse caused by the Y2K bug! But it's crazy. The computers are walking around and trying to take over the world. Only Rachel Zigler can hack into the computers and save the day! Also Fred Durst??

Single All the Way is an odd Christmas movie. It feels like it wants to be a Hallmark movie with a gay dude in the center of it all, but it just has such an odd atmosphere to it. Peter is desperate not to go home from LA without a boyfriend, so he enlists his best friend to pose for him as his boyfriend. Then shenanigans ensue? Except not really, because his best friend already knows everyone and is really nice, and everyone likes him. Oh also Jennifer Coolidge is here to play herself.

I feel like Santa has brought us a varied list of movies this year, including a musical called The Mistle-Tones. Starring Tia Mowry from Sister Sister, The Mistle-Tones follows a lady who really wants to join a musical group of mean girls because, at some point, her dead mom was in that musical group. She recruits colleagues from her office group! Even her stuck-up boss, and that's where romantic shenanigans start!

It's not Christmas time unless we're watching a Hallmark movie, and this year we have Window Wonderland. But is it a good one of those? Or is it a huge flop? I gotta say, there's quite a lot of twists in this plot and clever reveals, but let's see if the chemistry between the two leads burns like the yule log on your TV.

Ho-ho-ho we've gotten ourselves into a little predicament! Ethan and Mike have to save Santa by watching a bunch of Christmas movies! Luckily, they were planning on doing this anyway, so Santa should be good.
We start with 8-bit Christmas. A movie about a boy in Chicago who wants nothing more than a Nintendo for Christmas. It's basically A Christmas Story mixed with The Goonies or Sandlot. Does it work, though or is it going to be another movie like Pixels?

Happy Hanksgiving, everyone! Tomas from Almost Plausible once again joins us for another Tom Hanks movie. This time, one of the lowest-grossing movies of his career: A Hologram for the King. Tomas went the extra mile and read the book to give us insights into how exactly this movie was adapted to the screen. Which you know we love (see our Pinocchio series). Tom Hanks stars as a salesman who travels to Saudi Arabia to try and sell a uh hologram to their king. But things are not as they seem on this trip! Tom Hanks has some issues he has to work through.

Okay, now that the joke is over, we finally watch Casino Royale, where Daniel Craig takes the reins of the James Bond role and tries to put a new spin on it. Does he live up to the hype? Is this a movie that may actually be genuinely good and not just a great James Bond film? You'll have to listen and find out!

Finally, the boys get to a whole new James Bond, but this one is grittier and in black and white. In fact, there's something weird about this one. Something doesn't sound quite right.

Die Another Day means we're back to Bond from our latest Halloween break! But the question remains, how many more of these are we going to have to watch? At this point, this is Pierce Brosnan's last movie. It sure feels like the final Broccoli family movie for a Bond actor. (BAD!) But are there at least some charming moments? Is Halle Berry a good Bond girl? Will the Matrix influence this movie at all?! Will we watch more James Bond movies even though Ethan has started to see more of them? All these questions will be answered in this action-packed podcast episode!

Bring Her Back, one of the latest Danny and Michael Philippou horror movies to hit the streets! Sally Hawkins plays an adoptive mother who has just gotten two new kids, Piper and Andy, but something is off about her. And something is even more off about her currently adopted son, who doesn't say anything, but stares at you and eats his own scabs. Andy must try and survive until his 18th birthday, when he can take his sister and him away from this creepy lady.
Mike wasn't a fan of these brothers' first horror movie, Talk to Me, but maybe this one turns him around!

Together is just like this podcast. We can't stop being away from each other, so that's why we have 553 episodes now. Although we wouldn't drink water from a questionable cave! That's for sure. Even if it didn't get you a body horror like a curse where our skin wanted to fuse, you could get a horrible sickness from it!
At the end of the podcast, I said I'd post a photo that's a spoiler, so click here if you want to see what happens at the end of the movie!

Dude Bro Party Massacre III is the first in a trilogy of movies (that never existed) about Delta Bi! Created as a parody movie by 5-second films back in 2015, the Other Half tackles a comedy movie, which they haven't done in quite some time. This fraternity gets sent to a sorority house because they caused two passenger planes to crash. Unfortunately, they're haunted by Mother Face, who loves making puns every time she kills someone! Does this 10-year-old comedy hold up?

It's been a while since we've seen just a straight-up poorly made movie, but we've finally arrived at The Gingerdead Man for this Halloween season. Still mourning her tiddy-obsessed brother, Sarah somehow bakes a cookie with her brother's killer's ashes, bringing him to life in gingerbread form. The killer is, of course, played by Gary Busey. Along with the help of Sarah's bully, Lorna and Lorna's boyfriend Amos, they work together to try and stop this terrifying spiced cookie.

We're taking a break from our Bond marathon and are diving into our annual Spooktacular series for October! We can't let Bond hold back from our scary movies.Playroom is a movie Mike picked out because he saw Christopher McDonald starred in this movie early in his career. Plus, reviews said it was surprisingly good despite how awful the cover art is. Luckily for you, the entire movie is on YouTube, and you can find it here!Don't forget to join our Discord for movie nights and additional podcast discussions!Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-other-half/exclusive-contentAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
For their final appearance, NotTheHoneyBees had to chat about The World is Not Enough. This movie has maybe the biggest gap in quality between the two Bond girls ever. First, you have the incredible Sophie Marceau as Elektra King, a mysterious and chic femme fatale. Then you have Denise Richards as Christmas Jones, who is one of the least convincing nuclear scientists you could find, and is mostly there to elicit Christmas puns about her. Also, this movie wants us to root for an oil pipeline, which is a REAL hard sell in this day and age.Don't forget to join our Discord for movie nights and additional podcast discussions!Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-other-half/exclusive-contentAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Tomorrow Never Dies is where we're told that Pierce Brosnan's golden era ends. It was super short-lived, apparently! This movie has Bond take on a giant, corrupt media mogul. Armed with a cool remote-controlled car, it's Bond against the world, and a Chinese secret agent played by Michelle Yeoh. Do we agree this is a bad movie, or are we going to be the contrarians!! Look at us potentially defending a Bond movie! What have we become?

The boys have finally entered the Pierce Brosnan era with GoldenEye! After a long time, Mike and Ethan have finally gotten to a Bond movie they've both seen. Will it hold up or change Mike's mind about how much he hated this movie at the time? Will Pierce Brosnan live up to the hype of their childhood nostalgia? There are so many questions as we enter a whole new era of this Bond edition of Watch Til You Can't!
