In this Psalm we see that God is our Shepherd who provides, protects and refreshes us in every season of life. Looking at both of these Psalms, we learn from David’s life. We see that when we confess our sins and accept forgiveness given to us through the cross, we find freedom on the other side. Then walking in that freedom we are able to share our testimony with others. In Chapter 3, verses 13-18 James talks about two kinds of wisdom: Worldly or earthly wisdom and heavenly or God’s wisdom. We all need wisdom but we want God’s wisdom.“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. In this first part of Chapter 3, James begins here by telling us that the tongue is actually an outward indication of inward maturity. Your tongue is small, but it carries great influence. This week we are learning what it really means to have faith alongside works and we’ll talk about low impact faith vs. high impact faith. Low impact faith believes, but High impact faith influences others, bringing them toward Jesus and builds the Kingdom of Heaven.
