Description
Moonbase Theta, Out – a queer emotional sci-fi audio drama by D.J. Sylvis.
It is 2098. The Moonbase program has been determined unprofitable. The last base, Theta, is twenty weeks from being decommissioned. Most of the crew is in stasis awaiting retrieval. Five remain – Roger Bragado-Fischer, Nessa Cheong, Ashwini Ray, Michell L’Anglois, and Wilder.
Join the crew of Moonbase Theta as they reach out to share the beauty, the isolation and frustration, the love and enmity, the humour, and the tragedy, as all count down to the operation’s end ... and what comes after.

Hi folks, Deej here - creator of Moonbase Theta, Out and our new queer supernatural audio drama, Waiting For October! You might have heard about it back when we were crowdfunding, or on our social media as we were gearing up for release, but now our monster story is out there, in the world for all to hear! And we’re hoping you’ll give it a try.
I’ll be honest - it’s definitely a different kind of story from MTO, but there are also some similarities, and that includes a bunch of your favourite Base Theta voices. And we all spend some more time in Feelings Jail.
The following is our story’s Prologue, which we released on Halloween in that feed. Today we also released Episode One, so if you like this, look up “Waiting For October” in your podcast app, subscribe, and you can find out what happens next! Enjoy, and keep watching the Moon … in whichever world you visit!

Greetings Moonbase-ians! This is Cass McPhee, co-producer of Moonbase Theta, Out. It's been a while, huh? Our series wrapped up at the end of November 2023, but as our wonderful Patreon supporters know, that wasn't the last word from the folks on the moon. Every month of 2024, series creator D.J. Sylvis has released a short story delving into what came next for another character - we've had everything from main cast to small but intriguing players from across the whole series. And in 2025, these stories will find their way onto our feed every month in the form of a small piece of audio fiction prose - narrated by me! And yes, before you ask: Deej made me do the voices. (laughs) There are stories from Keegan, Trina, Val, Cas and Pol, and... Sarah? The first story, Roger, comes to you on Wednesday, January 8th.
Of course, you don't have to wait all year to read them all - the first 11 stories are available at all levels of support right now at Patreon.com/monkeymanproductions. And if you want more fully-produced audio fiction, we've got you covered with Waiting for October, a queer supernatural audio drama series that delves into the deep human needs that monster stories fulfill. New episodes are airing now - learn more at Monkeymanproductions.com.
Whether you've been with us since the beginning, or you just heard about Moonbase Theta, Out and binged your way through the whole series, we're so glad you're here. I really hope you enjoy hearing more from the moon - and from the Earth, too. We'll see you on January 8th, but until then... keep watching the moon.

i wanna make a cute tartagrade focused one shot fan fiction now 😭
Holy shit! Joe Fisher!
At least ashwini gets it.
I really like the show The story good story progression all that good stuff. but I mean come on get the fuck over this bullshit it's he and she. these day them pronouns and all this other nonsense is fucking retarded
IF YOUR NEWLY LISTENING START HERE, IT'S ALL OF SEASON ONE WITH LIKE NO ADS
Misophonia warning, coffee slurping intensifies.
Misophonia warning, sipping/slurping at a couple different points
Misophonia warning, gratuitous coffee sipping at the start
hard to keep up what's going
drink some water 💧
I'm not gonna lie, one of the worst waste of time shows - ever. It took forever to get through season 1 and it was always 2.5 minutes of show and 3 minutes of intro, adds, and closure. Pure horror.
Misophonia warning, several moments of drinking or eating.
I listened to two episodes but I'm not sure what the point of this is. There's no story here-- or even discernible characters to become attached to. ???
I listened to all of Season 1 and am now on Season 2, but still can't tell if this ever goes anywhere. Super anticlimactic so far. Someone let me know if this gets better.
Thank you for pointing out the they/them usage.its so irritating to hear they/them instead of he/her.I would even take IT over they/them.
good
